Mister Rogers' Neighborhood Funding (1987)/ PBS ID (1989) *Tape Malfunction*

From "Episode #1578". Near the end of the PBS ID, the tape seems to slightly malfunction, causing the ID to jump a bit and the audio to warp for a brief second.

If you listen carefully after the sears-roebuck foundation. When it fades before the 1989 PBS logo you can hear a tiny bit of the 1984 PBS logo. Make sure to wear headphones because I believe this funding was made before the 1989 PBS logo.

So if the show ran in 1987 or 88, it would make sense the PBS ID would follow from the underwriter spots from that time. Remember, overwriting tapes with new IDs was before the time of digital media where the picture was just interlaced with analog audio. :)

I did hear that. I had to play this video 3 times and on the third time, I had to turn the volume way up to hear it. I heard the first piano bridge.

Same happened with 1999-2000 printings before the Dot & Dash IDs, And I’m betting it now happens before the newer IDs
