I don't know if you know this but that winch has that rod (button) sticking out the end. If you press that rod in the spool will free wheel. I have the 8274 standard version. Enjoy.

I wish you had put it on a Scottsdale. I’m about to order mine and that’s what it’s going on. It has the tough armor bumper similar to yours on the Toyota. Good job.
The scottsdale bumper is similar, just looks too big for my taste. The winch should fit in it easier than it did on mine though.
I've had that winch sitting in a drawer for ever lol. Thing is so week compared to a brushless winches now out.
Why couldn’t you just mount the winch straight to the bumper instead of putting that plate in there?
The holes in all of their bumpers are made for the plate
Does it have a higher rating than a regular 8274 ? It just looks like they painted it red

Yes. Just press the shaft on the end and it will free spool
