National Media, Thanks for finally catching up to what we’ve been saying for years. Steeler fans have been scoffed at for years for even bringing this notion up by the National Media. The argument has been he does so much more with less; he is intimately involved in building these teams. Miss after miss in drafts, defense continues to fall apart year after year, no creative thoughts on offense. The Matt Canada hiring was a fire-able offense in itself..

To the guy in the red hoody. Why should the steelers new coach have to win a playoff game his first season when Tomlin couldn't even do it with a team that won the sb 2 years prior?
Tomlin has only won a playoff game 4x in 18 years. He hasn't built a real contender since most of Cowher's players retired.
Steelers fans don't care what happens next. We just want the Tomlin era to end. Alot us would prefer a new coach and 5 years of Top 10 draft picks than one more Tomlin "winning season".

Look at the drafting: Burns, Jarvis Jones, Edmunds, Pickett, Golson, Mike Adams, Limas Sweed, Sammie Coates, Broderick Jones (too soon?), Najee, Claypool, Devin Bush (lol), Sean Davis, first round pick on Ziggy Hood. It baffles me that it took this long for people to question Tomlin at all, we here in Pittsburgh have been SCREAMING this for 7 years now. The media is so quick to call out mediocre or lackluster coaching, but they were never calling Tomlin out til now. He has a worse playoff record than Mike McCarthy, he’s in charge of personnel and hiring his coordinators. He’s never brought in coordinators himself that went on to be head coaches. He said Pickett was the guy and still brought in Trubisky, then threw them under the bus for Rudolph and then threw all them aside for Russ and Fields and somehow it’s not his problem when it comes to the roster? He wasn’t able to win with a championship with Ben, Bell, and Brown. Once all Cowhers core group of guys left or retired that’s when the mediocrity really set in. I’m not hating on him at all, it’s just the facts. We’ve been desperately calling him out since 2017 if not longer. Lambert, Bradshaw, and others don’t like him too. It’s mind blowing that it took this long.

Baltimore consistently drafts in nearly the same spots as the Steelers -- and they are legit SB contenders this season -- and will be going forward. @qbitz08 День тому

@@ghosttowntomato With Omar Khan at GM, the Steelers have definately upped their draft game -- he's stacked two solid drafts in a row. What the Steelers need to do is be more creative and innovative. They run a plain vanilla offense. Does not leverage any player strengths, except for Russ' moon balls once they get behind. Pickens needs more targets. They don't go to Austin enough. They barely used Mike Williams, he's an unfair advantage on 50/50 balls.
Whereas Baltimore uses Lamar's speed and King Henry's strength -- and bludgeons you over the head with it. That said, at first Harbaugh wasn't smart enough to really know what he had and was not using Henry enough. Henry had a mere 13 carries when the Steelers beat them. Then he wised up. In all the games the Ratbirds lost, Henry's carries were: 13, 18, 11, 13, 19.
The Ratbirds will be hard, if not impossible to beat if they keep playing possession, power football like that. The party is over in KC. I feared this is what the Ratbirds would become once they signed Henry.

After all the changes, it netted one more win and had our losing skid against better teams. We didn’t lose to the Ravens, we got blown out. I think most of the teams in the nfl need to address lack of playoff success. Pittsburgh has won games and made the playoffs. The Steelers need to be careful about decisions they make or they could be the next Dallas Cowboys.

Mike was left with a lot great talent and it was much easier in the beginning.
Remember, Tomlin was an above average DEI Hire. The Rooney's are all about it, transparent you know. Mike checked all the boxes but one, championship leadership.
You could tell by Mike's demeanor he knew there was a slim chance of making it happen this week.
Watching how the other teams evolved with bigger faster players, the steelers are mediocre at best.
    Yes, it is time!

Tomlin will leave when he wants to leave. Can't fire a DEI hire, especially when the creator of the Rooney Rule was behind it. Rooney cannot afford to admit failure. His legacy is at stake here.

The Steelers are in a "co-dependent relationship" with Mike Tomlin that is akin to a woman who is totally committed to a man who continues to disappoint her but she is so infatuated with him that she blindly believes in his promises to do better, and she is afraid to break up with him out of fear that he will find a new woman to date.

We need an OC, our offense is basic at best… where we’ve been in draft position is huge, holding on to Big Ben too long, shazier injury was a major set back, a few huge untimely retirements, and we are still a top 14 team… every team should be competing for a championship but the reality is only 1 team wins. Lol that’s my rant 😂

Fields should have never been taken out. He was 4-2 and improving. Benching Fields killed momentum. It was short-sighted, which is why the decision was challenged within the organization. The offense hadn't moved in a month with Wilson (4 games), and Fields should have been reinserted weeks ago. The Steelers are wasting time and talent.

Sums up the national media when there is a pause before putting it that Mike needs to decide if he has the team and wants to continue…He needs to go based on his performances. He is not a Legendary Coach (other than in the eyes of the blinkered media). A winning season is not what its about - its about building and leading a team into AND through the playoffs. He is way to conservative and his plans really restrict what the Offensive Coordinator can use in a game situation. He’s inflexible - can’t adapt during a game. I’ve seen more than enough - time for change.

Pittsburgh's problem isn't Tomlin, it's Quarterback. They had the husk of Big Ben to the Pickett Rudolph Duck Hodges mashup to now the combo of Fields who sucks and Russ who was just cut by the Broncos. And Tomlin still delivers a berth. To me that's really impressive. The Steelers need an actual competitive Quarterback (easier said than done) and they'll go further. Unfortunately for them, this isn't the off-season to get one, and they're generally picking too late to get a good one. Lamar at 32 is a once in a lifetime pick.

@@HamLover17 since 2016 the Steelers have been out scored 73 to nothing in the first quarter of playoff games. At some point this has to fall on the coach. As a head coach of 16 years he has plenty of say of who his quarterback is. He has a none existent coaching tree. When was the last time you watched a game where you said to yourself wow he is out scheming the opponent? When was the last time the Steelers had blown the doors off teams by 3 TDs and impressed? Tomlins teams have talent but face it with these players and his talent this is his ceiling here in Pittsburgh. Andy Reid had the same issues in Philly but found the next level of success elsewhere.

    • @HamLover17
      @HamLover17 18 годин тому

@@neville3059 The reason they are getting to the playoffs and having winning records is that they're outscheming and outcoaching opponents. It's clear Pittsburgh can't compete in the upper crust. That's obvious. But when you're playing against Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen and you're putting up Russ Wilson and Kenny Pickett in the playoffs you're gonna get rocked i don't care who the coach is. Andy Reid turned it around because of a man named Pat Mahomes.

At least it hasn't been. I hope they force his hand to bring in quality coordinators and support staff. Take a little of his autonomy away. i just heard that art rooney has decided to keep tomlin as head coach. rooney is damaging the steeler franchise. they do notcare about the steeler legacy. yes tomlin has not had a losing season but has only won 3 platoff games in 14 years. now tell me what a good coach tomlin is. tomlin continuously has problems with players (brown bell pickett). his management of qb's has been atrocious after big ben retired. how many negative issues does a head coach need to get replaced. i believe that big ben would have another superbowl ring or 2 if he had a different head coach.
