I have tried to play note for note what the drums are doing. As you can see I am reading my own transcription from my ipad. It isn't perfectly played but I played as close as I could until I got a decent enough take! This video should give anyone interested a good understanding of what Kevin Parker plays on the recording, both audibly and visually.

Temples are really fun on drums, you can try out deerhunter, "nothing ever happened" its one of my favorites on drums, you should look up some pond tracks, melody's echo chamber, King gizzard and the lizard wizard, the Black Angels.
Thanks, I already listen to MEC and Temples quite a lot so that should be fun to learn
Yeah what ScyFX said are all great bands to jam too. As for TI 'I Don't Really Mind' and the new album currents have drums that are fairly straight forward like 'Cause I'm A Man' and 'The Less I known The Better'.

How long would it take someone who just started drumming to be able to play something like this? Im assuming more than a year
All depends on how much you practise! But yeah probably, to play it just like the record, but just simplify the groove and play along then as you get better you can start adding the embellishments.
It probably wouldn’t take a year until you could learn this the groove is pretty simple it just depends on how much you practise essentially, if you slowed down parts to the song and practiced them until you could get them in time it wouldn’t take long to learn almost all of this
