- Pickin' my ol' home made guitar.
There's a story that goes with this song. I've been learning tunes and licks from John Knowles ever since the book "Chet Atkins Note for Note" came out in about '75 or '76. I couldn't believe the transcriptions in the book and how accurate they were. I learned them all. A few years later I found out about the FingerStyle Quarterly and have been subscribing to it ever since. So unknown to John Knowles, he has been teaching me to play guitar for the last 20 some odd years.
This little tune is my humble tribute to his effort to spread finger style guitar around the world.
An awsome interpretation of my favorite Joplin peace.
Thank you sir. I appreciate you watching

Thank you for watching and your kind comment. I appreciate it.
Real nice - especially the way you make it swing toward the end, a perfect touch to add soul and make it a bit more bluesy!

Despite the obviously more limited range of simultaneous notes able to be played, this cover and arrangement still beautifully respects and honors the original music Joplin wrote. Bravo sir!!! You should be very proud!!!
