To reset the enchantments, you can use **Rose Quartz Lamps** instead of regular lamps. A rose quartz lamp, when touching other lamps, only allows one lamp to be activated at a time. Therefore, a customer can press the buttons for whatever enchantments they want, highlighting that specific lamp, then activate the mechanism. After everything is enchanted, you can use Redstone links to activate a separate lamp that unhighlights the selected lamps, deactivating all chosen enchantments. Much easier than manual labor or a T-Flip Flop, and it can even be connected to conflicting enchantments (Smite/Sharpness/Bane of Arthropods and Silk Touch/Fortune) to prevent someone trying to get silk touch and fortune on the same book.
Even better use create new age to energize bottle to make XP bottles then disenchant them and loop the bottle back through the system completely free infinite XP
Someone already recommended the T-Flip Flop switch for reseting levers, but with dropers. In my opinion, the option with sticky piston is more fun. Basically, you use a scheme: Stone button powers the redstone dust that goes into block that is immediatly moved by sticky piston under it (basically making a 1 tick pulse), then repeater into sticky piston that moves a block which either disrupts or enables the redstone connection. The thing about 1 tick pulse is that sticky piston doesn't have enough time to get the block back, so with every press of button it can only either move the block or pull it (In case it's hard to visualize, you can find "T-Flip Flop switch" videos, for example Mumbo explains that exact type in the first minute of video, he also explains other types of that switch that might help you to make a Create version easier). As for how to do it, if Create has any way to track the item on the conveyer belt or depot, you can easily track when the items come to the end depot to reset all blocks by simple piston pushing them all back to the starting position. If not (and comparator doesn't work as well) - I can't really think of anything except making some timer based on the highest amount of time taken. As for another suggestion, I'd make some fool-proof system for overlapping enchantments. I don't know what blaze does when it can't enchant anything, but there should be something against "press all the buttons" (even giving out some "easter egg" item or book with you scolding the person who's greedy and wants everything that comes out before the item they provided XD) And again, that's vanilla ways. But learning those vanilla ways can help you find better Create solutions ^_^ P.S. Oh, and I can't miss the obvious one... You. Need. Ink. :P
Well, fear not because the guy that knows create (A wee bit better then Shalz) better then vanilla redstone (not =) is here to present the solution: toggle latches. These are like levers but they can be manipulated by redstone input, so powering redstone at the back turns it on and powering it at the sides turnes it off. And I mostly use the powered toggle latch, because it's basically a flipflop thingy (VERY good and existing term) to toggle the stuff with the linked controller to turn stuff. Sorry, I just read T-flip flop switch, and realized that I was slightly off with my term.
For the record, the blaze enchanting works like item drains where if it can not be enchanted, it just moves past it. So you can just put every tool through every enchant, then save the optionals for the end and have the enchanting for those be toggled like how you did before.
Shalz you could use buttons and a T-flip flop to allow the lamps to be reset. Using the classic two droppers one hopper one comparator design you can reset all the flip-flops without turning on the powered ones. That would allow all the lamps to be reset after each use without setting ones you don't want, like a copper bulb design would. At least, I think that's how it would work, I haven't built a dropper T-flip flop in a while but that's how I remember them working. I think powering the bottom dropper is the one that resets them all without powering the ones that weren't on, as the top dropper is the one that is read. You would need to invert the comparator output though, as the items in the dropper would be put in the top dropper as standard, so make sure to hook the comparator through a redstone torch before going to the redstone link.
SHALZ pls do not discontinue your survival server after ep.10. It is what gives me ideas on what to do in create as well as being the best create series out there. 🙏
You made your contraption much more complicated than it it should be. You could've made one belt for unbreaking and mending, which should break off with launchers(or somethin' I forgot the name) to different belts for different tools, even with the added feature where you could pick the enchantment you want.
Thoughts: - An indicator with a smart observer to see if the shop is ready rather than a manual sign - build it in an area people will be in and it should passively gain enough xp - make a toggle for the farm that disables it when the tank is full for lag - you should be able to use a button selector panel which is resettable (using vanilla redstone), and you can also group mutually exclusive enchants in a circuit to make only one selectable (ex: hermitcraft 9 decked out difficulty selector)
I am crying from laughter I adore the earnest mistakes and rolling with how goofy the mistakes can be sometimes cx ...also the shalz communities friendly roasting over the ink thing is irreplaceable lmfao. Me and my gf made the same mistake in our smp. Dont tell anyone cx
If you want to do that in survival, you actually would really like to put every levelled enchanting (like sharpness, unbreaking and others) under an hyper-enchanting setup. It is possible to farm glowing ink sacs, for sure, with a glowsquid farm or a regular squid farm and a haunting setup (with soul campfires blowing at ink sacs), although I’m not sure if it’s possible to farm lapis. Anyways, beware of non-leveling enchantments (like mending or infinity) because they don’t work with hyper experience (because there’s no such “mending 2” or things like that), so you’ll need 2 enchanting setups. But once they’re available, you’re good to go forever.
If you feed items from a belt into a line of blaze enchanters, the item will jump from blaze to blaze, enchanting the item with the enchants that are able to be put on that item :)
You could add an indicator below every enchantment that shows wich tools they can be applied on, and you should definetly add bow enchantments too. I love the idea of an automatic enchanter btw, great video!
Nice vid Shalz!!! Just wanted to point out that you can use crushing wheels to also get the xp of a mob and what I like doing is using silverfish instead of spawners since getting and breaking infested stone is easy to aquire only needing to bulk haunt cobble or stone. 👍
shalz, just use the chunk loaders from the video "This Addon Fixed Create." and the mod was called"Create: Power Loader" also just use copper bulbs for the lights.
For reseting the levers you can probably make a system that uses buttons, but keeps the light on until the item is enchanted, whereafter the light resets
Use buttons with toggle levers (create adds them iirc) to latch the enchants. Once the item shows up on the depot, use a stock switch (if they don't work on depots, I think comparators do) to reset all the toggle levers. You'll need two sets of frequencies, one for the buttons to the toggles, and one for the toggles to the funnels. You can put another Redstone link on the back of the lamp tied to the same frequency to show whether one is active or not. There's ways to make it so the button can toggle on AND off, but it'd be a little complicated for a UA-cam comment lol. Just throw a reset button in that's tied to the same Redstone link as the output that resets it. Pro tip for organization, you can use minecraft items that represent the enchant (ie bones for smite, spider eye for bane, sword for sharpness, etc) for one channel of the frequency, and then set your other channel to represent what it does (maybe Redstone for source, blaze powder for output)
You could create a discount system where the price you charge for enchanting their gear goes down if the player deposits their xp into the system beforehand, depending on how much they deposit. I imagine the create observer-style block can track the amount of fluid going through pipes or into a fluid tank that acts like a cistern. There'd still be a flat fee for processing, but the part of the cost that is for xp could be portionally discounted, then.
Shalz: look at printer and reads out loud " it need 5mb of ink" Also Shalz: "why are you not printing?" after checking the printer for the third time without adding ink
Would like to see how you set up a payment system in create, its the thing my server would have needed. Also for the enchantment turn off system, you could create a T-flip flop for the button press and have the burner turn itself off with a comparitor... I love redstone
12:54 You could use an rs nor latch for each input on and have the off input be a reset switch as a button at the beginning, and automatically when the item is detected at the end. jazziiRed has a nice video on the subject, and mumbo has an old video on it as well but it doesn't go into much detail.
YEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SHALZ IS BACK!!!!!!! LETSSSSSSSSSS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! (ur videos are AMAZING shalz, love ur content. been subed for 3 years now lol)
What you could do for automatic turning off is by making the enchantment choices T flip-flops and putting and observer underneath the pickup thing so when it gets a signal from the item arriving at the pickup it resets the T flip-flops
Button into a toggle latch for the redstone, set up a detector into a redstone link that's wired to those toggle latches to reset them when the item is finished enchanting.
If you put a number of blaze enchanters all in a line with a belt putting items in and taking them out, then the enchanters will just transfer the item being enchanted from one to the other. It also will skip any enchantments which cannot be applied to the item
A way you could make the levers automatically reset is to turn them into buttons that flip a toggle latch. Then have a redstone link attatched to the funnel that feeds into the same circuit and toggles the latch again. The latch could be connected to the funnel and the indicator light so you'd actually see the progress of the item being enchanted as the lights turn off
To make the machine better, you could have a button on the lamps running into a nor latch that you take the output from to select the enchantments and light the lamps. Once the enchanting is done, you can have a final signal reset the nor latches
You’d have to make the building bigger, but you could use buttons and redstone latches to make the lights stay on (and keep enchantments selected) until it receives a cutoff signal from the output end. It won’t affect the switches that are already off, so it would be an automatic reset. Just need to detect the item as it leaves the system and send a signal when that happens.
you can use SR latches for selecting enchantments, push the button to set the latch (select the enchantment) then when the item is done, send the reset signal to all the latches. Cool stuff!
I love that Shalz's subscriber Banner isn't changed to be special, it's just the goal but the bar has gone over I also just love Shalz's videos they're funny
For the lever reset, you could add something that senses the tool has went through all the enchantments possible. Then once it senses that, it could deploy deployers to switch the levers off.
Shalz: makes a 13 minute long video on the new enchantment create mod add-on Also Shalz: messes up one thing in the video. Literally everyone: "It said to use ink! You even read it out loud, Shalz!!!!!!!!!1!"
Loved the video @Shalz! Can't wait for the next video man! The reason why the Printer wasn't printing the Book (Ben) was because you still had it as an Automated Enchantment Set-up instead of a Printing Set-up. The Printer Needs Ink in order to Print Books and Liquid Experience to Print Enchantment Books. R/ThereWasAnAttempt Anyone?
Damn one of the most frustrating things on UA-cam is watching a creator not know something that is obvious and having to wait for the next video for him to realise that
Shalz, I don't know if you realized this, but I think it is possible to use hyper enchanting to create a level X book, if not a level 250-something book, by replacing the current book with the higher level one. It's worth a try.
If I may make a recommendation, if you are up to doing some redstone look into SR-Latches. They are a type of memory circuit you can set or reset their state based and which input you power. You can use buttons to toggle the set side and once done, have a single reset signal reset all latches for the lamps and receivers. If you still want to keep the togglable idea for the input but use the buttons, all you'd need is to AND the logic of the set side of the SR latch with the button signal input, then feed it into the reset side.
You user the blaze burner together with the hyper xp to get Sharpness VI out out V. Are you also able to put it on a book instead of any tool? If yes are you able to "infinitely" advance the level on the book. I mean by that 5->6->7->8 and so on
You could make a resettable Storage by using a comparator and a stuck clock (vanilla items). When you press a button on an enchantment, the clock "gets stuck". To reset the clock, you power the comparator from the side, turning its output off, breaking the loop.
Hey... So... Shalz, you could also make a basic mob farm with a skulk catalyst and then mine the remaining skulk and filter XP that way. That also would allow for chunk loader based XP farming and then have a couple of auto switches that turn off the chunk loader when the XP tank is full to minimize lag. This would mean that XP would be automated to run only after a player had used the enchant store.
I can only suggest to try using buttons instead of levers with the copper lamps, I'm not sure if they send redstone signal when they are on, but it's worth a try, and probably a comparator to send a turn off signal to the lamp when it detects that the item in the enchanter thing... That way you also know which enchants has been applied. I'm not a redstoner, but I think that can work somehow?

I imagine the create observer-style block can track the amount of fluid going through pipes or into a fluid tank that acts like a cistern. what this person said
A way you could make the levers automatically reset is to turn them into buttons that flip a toggle latch. Then have a redstone link attatched to the funnel that feeds into the same circuit and toggles the latch again. The latch could be connected to the funnel and the indicator light so you'd actually see the progress of the item being enchanted as the lights turn off

Shalz getting absolutely destroyed rn with the amount of people telling him it needs ink
He literally said out loud that it consumes ink, and then proceeds to not know that it consumes ink
Shalz... I dunno how you missed this but this add on has been here since last year, at least somewhere around october😂
I mean by that 5->6->7->8 and so on
for those of you thinking of commenting "ink not XP":
don't
he knows by now
don't make him feel bad more then he has to
You could make a resettable Storage by using a comparator and a stuck clock (vanilla items). When you press a button on an enchantment, the clock "gets stuck". To reset the clock, you power the comparator from the side, turning its output off, breaking the loop.
waaaaaaaaaah shalz upload schedule is getting better
trying to do weekly! :)

Hey...
7:30 you could've had used the Weighted Ejector behind the blaze burner! idk if it would be more survival friendly to do that way.
actually no because you need to power it as well.. so yeah he probably did the most efficient.
4:18 number 2 of shalz oof moments.. LOL IT HAS TO GO THROUGH A BELT
im curious, do you think if u hyperenchanted a sharpness VI book youd get sharpness VII? and go until X?
its a good day when shalz posts
I can only suggest to try using buttons instead of levers with the copper lamps, I'm not sure if they send redstone signal when they are on, but it's worth a try, and probably a comparator to send a turn off signal to the lamp when it detects that the item in the enchanter thing... That way you also know which enchants has been applied. I'm not a redstoner, but I think that can work somehow?
"we just killed a couple of sheep over here and put their xp into this fluid tank"
