I've been watching your videos for a year or so without even having a 3d printer, I get my Ender max neo Monday and I'm excited to finally utilize all the information you have given us in your videos. My wife even recognized your voice the other day after 7 months of not watching anything 3d Printing related, But since then I bought a PC and now a 3d Printer and I'm excited to start printing and working on some displays for my space.
Exactly what I was trying to tell another UA-camr that took so much time finishing his textured mask, when you get it save the frustration of sanding and prepping and painting just by printing it installing the magnets deburring done
@@lytatroan there are tutorials online if you Google them but its basically purchasing an adapter to allow it connect to the PC and then using a software to control the camera.
These masks are amazing! Just got into 3D printing and Franks Channel is my staple page and my go to for everything 3D printing! Amazing entertaining content that is so helpful!
Can you point us to the strips of elastic bands you used? It looks like it comes in a roll but I don't see it in the description or on your mask parts on Amazon.
Instead of the elastic bands, I'll use painters tape to hold helmet parts in place while setting things up. Did that for my Iron Man, Mando, and FNAF masks.
Try lining the inside of the cowl(wolverine) with black felt to help stop the light from showing the magnets. You can buy felt sheets from most fabric stores.
great video just printed mine, QUESTION ---> what glue do i need to glue the clothing elastic made of fabric to the inside of the helmet please bro????? I printed mine in PLA+ if that makes any difference, tried superglue and it won't stick
Love the Barbie T-shirt , genius design and print,, awesome job , I like how we can still hear your voice pretty well in the DP mask, what's the ventilation/breathability like?
Hey frank! I’ve been watching your videos since you made that mark 85 suitcase, and I finally decided to get a 3d printer for myself and start making these props aswell. I searched on Amazon and the #1 bestseller is the FLASHFORGE Adventurer 5M 3D Printer. Do you have a review for it anywhere, would you reccomend it? Thanks
Hey Frank, I wanted to ask you what app(s) you would suggest for 3d scanning. I want to scan my head to better scale prints and I just wanted to see if you had any idea on which is best. Preferably the cheapest route is best but anything helps
Thank you for this video! I tried printing my first mask (Wolverine) this week on my A1 mini and half of it was good, the other half had a lot of problems. Hopefully this one will turn out better 🙏
Love your videos so much! Could you do a short video on how often we should maintenance our printers, where we should put the grease, and how tight the belts should be? I've always been better at software than hardware, and I'm sure I'm not the only one with a printer or three that needs some help ❤
@user-pl4ym2hs8j I have many printers he does And stop treating people like they woke up yesterday! If Google had the answers I needed, My CRM4 wouldn't be out of commission for 4 months
I felt your pain when putting the magnets on the Deadpool mask. I’m dealing with that issue right now it falls apart so easily. A tutorial on how you did the elastic band system would be great!
Hey Frank! Do you happen to have any tips for printing foot armor working? I haven't decided yet if I want to do shoe covers or actual printed shoes for my Metroid Dread Samus cosplay suit, and even then, I have no idea how I would be able to scale them efficiently, since they're so much different than the rest of the pieces.
Hey Frank, I swear a while back you mentioned that there was an stl of a head on Thingyverse or somewhere that was good to use for sizing up a helmet. Was that you? if so can you tell me where i can find it please because i seem to of forgotten...
The Wolverine helmet on the iron man body reminded me of the X-Men space outfits. Around the time when Wolverine gets the Adamantium ripped out by Magneto.
How come you use the tree trunk looking supports instead of the basic ones, I’m assuming it might be something you can change in the settings of the programme
Thank you for the elastic tip! I bought a ladypool printed mask to wear to a con in about a week and I’ve been DREADING the possibility of it falling apart at the con 😅
hay man just want to know if I've tried to print 3 cosplay items using in total 500g of fulfillment and have had them all fail but have printed multiple small figures and have had no problem so should I just steer clear of the iron man helmets and Thor hammers and if you think I should just keep trying what could i do different to not get the same results
Hey Frank, awesome prints! I have thesd files and they are super awesome to print. Can i just ask, why do you use glue on your textured pei sheets? Or was this residue from another print? Thanks bud

The fact that there are models so good you don't 'need' to prime and prep it up is amazing!

The helmets turned out beautiful, I will definitely print them.LFG❤️💛

Why does that slicer look exactly like the bambu software?
Never have I been this early or this hyped for a video!
I'm so ready to learn to make these for myself!
Instead of the elastic bands, I'll use painters tape to hold helmet parts in place while setting things up. Did that for my Iron Man, Mando, and FNAF masks.
The elastic bands are permanent. They’re not to hold it while setting up. Tape will break eventually.
@@FranklyBuilt thanks. Probably should have watched another minute before typing.

hey frank im going to get a 3d printer i have never done this before what size printer do you recomend for making helmets? pls respond love the vids
Measured the magnet holes in Fusion. 10mm x 2mm magnets will fit in the holes with no scaling FYI

Now that I’ve seen Frank dance as Deadpool my life is complete 😂

Use stronger magnets
You can also use Duct Tape inside, to keep the pieces together :)
I would love that wolverine mask.
Great work! Do you think it is worth to overscale the helmet/mask a bit in order to add think foam pads inside for confort?

It’s textured. It just gets hidden naturally
