This knot allows you to connect a braid to a nylon or fluorocarbon leader. It is one of the most resistant in its category because the pressure of the braid is distributed over a large surface area of the leader. The stronger the pressure on the braid, the tighter the knot around the fluorocarbon.
Connection nodes
These nodes are intended to join 2 pieces of lines together. These can be similar materials but also radically different materials such as fine braid and large monofilament. They must therefore have optimal resistance despite the difference in materials. Since it is often line from a reel, these knots must not catch in the rings of the rod in order not to obstruct the passage of the line. For this, there are finishing additions to the basic nodes making them more or less conical. On the other hand, these knots are not always easy to make and some should be reserved for the most skilled fishermen. Note that for the same node, there can be several variants and names.
