I just found your channel and I am enjoying your presentations very much. The fact that I was born in '62 and that I am a wood worker and studied design and silver smithing with a family friend (engineer by trade) helps. Your presentation style and video length are excellent. I look forward to watching more of your videos. Had a chance to visit Scandinavia on three occasions. Loved it!
Hi, We’re so glad you found our channel! Thanks a lot for your kind words, they mean a lot to us! Welcome back to Scandinavia as soon as this darn epidemic is over!
Thank-you, that was informative and fun. I especially like the music! I have a few Stelton pieces: the salad servers and the salt-pepper-mustard set. I love them. Thanks again! 👏
Thank you very much! And glad you like the music, some people seems to find it a bit annoying :) Yeah, the Stelton pieces are really charming with clean and simple lines. We found an old ashtray on a flee market a couple of weeks ago.
@@ScandinavianDesign101 Thanks for the response! ☺ Someone locally is selling one of those Stelton Cylinda revolving ashtrays for $80 CAD. No one smokes anymore in my world so it's hard to justify buying such a relic, but I'm still very tempted. It does look very cool.
It's perhaps a bit much, specially for an ashtray. But it's a cool piece of design and we often find our self buying old ashtrays even though we have no use for them whatsoever. By some reason they often look so unresistingly nice, like small sculptures.
✌🏼✌🏼 my fave AJs are the Egg, the series 7 with armrests and castors and his oversized outdoor AJ wall light for Louis Poulsen. I wish the Giraffe isn’t the Little Giraffe as what is readily available now because these armchairs are perfect for a Platner dining table IMHO. Thanks so much for this episode. You are well appreciated 🙏🏻🙏🏻
thanks to the chair....found this channel. Have someone owned or enjoined the swan or egg chair? Do you thinks is right for listening music? I want to create a space for people can experience the music with lovely valve amp, beautiful and i think i should have nice partners...Thanks and great channel¡

Agree. We bought it as a small sculpture. It's quite cool with the rotating dome shaped top.
@@ScandinavianDesign101 Don't you think $80 CAD (528 SEK) is too much?

He is remembered for his contribution to architectural functionalism and for the worldwide success he enjoyed with simple well-designed chairs

Didn’t have time to talk about them in this video, but we’ll get back to that…

What's on your face? 😆 🤣.
