- Welcome to In Which They Serve, the oral history series that chronicles the stories, memories, and life experiences of military veterans and active duty personnel, law enforcement. emergency services, and indeed any other profession and individuals who serve the public or their country.
In this episode, Zac Halberd interviews Daniel Guy, a retired corporal in the United States Marine Corps, about Dan’s two combat tours of Afghanistan. From literally having to fish in an Afghan river to feed himself, to witnessing the hierarchy of priorities when it came to an Afghan man deciding between his vehicle and his children, Dan’s time in theatre profoundly changed his outlook on the world, religion, and life in general.
The interview was conducted in a public restaurant, and we hope you listen through to the end of the interview to be surprised at exactly what kind of restaurant it is...

Love the picture at 5:32. I was on that convoy with bridge platoon 8th esb as we were en route to build a bridge in Garmsir for 2/1 in 2011. This picture was taken as we were passing through Marjah, 3/9 had control of a portion of that AO at the time
Did much in the interview with Dan chime with your own experiences?
Yes, 100%. I'm glad he can be a voice for all combat veterans who operated outside of the wire in the GWOT. Thank you!@@creationcorps
Was in Marjah with 2/3 (Attached 3/9) the same time you were there. Always enjoyed seeing 2/1 on the same deployment cycle.

Great video, thanks for posting.
Our pleasure, we want to spread veterans' stories as much as we can!
So happy to have collaborated on this project! Dan's story is so weird and utterly unlike any other Afghan vet story I've heard in a while. Definitely worth a listen.
An amazing first-person account. Thanks to everyone involved.
Many thanks, glad you enjoyed it!
Hi, I have seen many videos of your channel, your videos are very nice but your channel has some deficiencies like keyword research, thumbnail SEO, video file SEO, description SEO and video title research, these are more likely to get top rank for videos and get likes, comments, shares on videos, through which Hughes Organic subscribers come in handy
