There was a time for many years I couldn't look at my own reflection. I owned no mirrors, almost nothing in my home was reflective, anything that could potentially show my looking back at myself was hidden away or covered. For years I hated the man in the mirror. He wasn't me, he was everything that I hated. Every regret, every mistake, all of it was him. And every time I looked in his eyes, I say the pain hiding behind the fake smile. It took a long time to over come that, but eventually I did. And now I sometimes work as a model, so I'm constantly having to look at myself, it's easier now. I still don't have a mirror in my bedroom, but there's one in my bathroom at least. Small victories. This song brought me back to that, and it reminded me a lot of what I used to feel, and I'm proud of how far I've come. I no longer hate myself. The man in the mirror isn't my enemy anymore, he's just someone else who's lost. But we are finding our way.

There was a time for many years I couldn't look at my own reflection. I owned no mirrors, almost nothing in my home was reflective, anything that could potentially show my looking back at myself was hidden away or covered. For years I hated the man in the mirror. He wasn't me, he was everything that I hated. Every regret, every mistake, all of it was him. And every time I looked in his eyes, I say the pain hiding behind the fake smile.
It took a long time to over come that, but eventually I did. And now I sometimes work as a model, so I'm constantly having to look at myself, it's easier now. I still don't have a mirror in my bedroom, but there's one in my bathroom at least. Small victories.
This song brought me back to that, and it reminded me a lot of what I used to feel, and I'm proud of how far I've come.
I no longer hate myself. The man in the mirror isn't my enemy anymore, he's just someone else who's lost. But we are finding our way.

Definitely an Adam song. Love the versal show of support by Mesus and Tom. Great brotherhood chemistry. Could totally relate decades ago. Made some rather poor choices in my youth and brought myself closer to the grave than I care to admit. Rose above it, in time, and now I soar above it and observe the decaying sea of the human race that hates anything that puts a mirror in its face. No longer hate the reflection, but sad at the reality of lost years.
