      Exactly man it's sad to see a lot of fans wanting the organization to toss him to the side. Mixon was here putting in work through all of the down years from 2017-2020 and just took a pay cut to stay. You're not a real fan if you're not rooting for him

    • @Medalist4256
      @Medalist4256 Рік тому +1

      ? Mixon took that pay cut to have a job, that's it. He wasn't doing the Bengals any favors if he didn't have too. He saw the running back market, knew if he didn't take a pay cut he would be released, then 2 weeks before the season he would be picked up for even less money than his new pay cut contract. It would be a prove it short term deal, with little money. Or you take the pay cut the Bengals were asking for and you make more money than being released, and are on a winning team this season. On the plus side this will be the best line Mixon has ever had to run behind.

    I'm just not a Mike Brown hater like a lot of Bengals fans are. I'm aware of how poorly he ran things when he first took over decades ago, but he has gotten better and better over the years and he genuinely cares about the players, coaches, fans, success of the team, and the entire city of Cincinnati. He doesnt get credit for that. Yeah he was stubborn and liked to do things his way, but thats most people. The Bengals are one of the best ran organizations in the league now. With Katie Blackburn and Duke Tobin, the Brown family has really set the Bengals up for success. Outside of playoff and prime time wins, the Bengals have had a lot more success than people realize the past 20 years, and now with Burrow, the playoff wins are finally pouring in. The Bengals draft and resign their own and honor the contracts they sign as good as any team in the league.

    • @brycemcneil4404
      @brycemcneil4404 Рік тому

      The stadium deal that he got out of Hamilton County is *appallingly* one-sided, the team still doesn't run a lot of things to standard, and pushes against player union comp (completely oblivious to the adverse effects that would have for the less-rich athletes in the state of Ohio). Drafting Joe Burrow didn't turn Mike Brown into a noble man.
      I think a lot of Bengals fans take criticism towards Mike Brown as criticism towards the city of Cincinnati which is ridiculous: if anything, the recent success is something that *the city of Cincinnati* deserves richly because heavens knows the city and the Bengals fans put in the dues and the time...

    • @jonathanhaven1690
      @jonathanhaven1690 Рік тому

      @brycemcneil4404 See this is what I mean. You completely over look all the good things about the Brown family as owners. Look around the league, there are much much worse owners. At least they are good people who actually care about the team. I can't blame them for the stadium deal. Trying to get the best deal financially for the ownership group is not such a bad thing. If they had won 7 super bowls people would have a totally different opinion of it.

      @jonathanhaven1690 and I have no way of knowing if the Browns are "good people" as compared to any other owner. Just because Mike Brown is folksy, doesn't make him any more (or less) morally upright than the next fellow.
      It's telling, BTW, that the best you could say is "there are worse." Congrats, you're not Dan Snyder or the Fords! Wonderful!

    • @jonathanhaven1690
      @jonathanhaven1690 Рік тому +1

      @brycemcneil4404 Past 20 seasons - 5 Division titles, 9 play off appearances, 5 playoff wins, 2 AFC championships, 1 super bowl appearance. Puts them in the top half of the league in success. And they will be climbing the list year by year now. Like how they actually have the 2nd most playoff wins in the entire league the past 2 seasons.
      It's also quite easy to tell if they are good people or good owners by how they treat their players and coaches. And they treat them much better than a lot of other teams do. They don't cut guys early when they sign a contract. They don't fire coaches early. They are loyal to their own guys they drafted and re sign them past their rookie deal. And if you listen to Mike Brown talk in this video you can clearly see how much it means to him. He's not just some random billionaire owner from halfway across the world that bought a team as an investment. Him and his family have their roots in Ohio and Cincinnati. It's more personal to them. They care more than most.

You have a top 3 elite quarterback in the NFL,who will have you competing for Super Bowl Championships every single season. So lock the guy up long term,so you can structure your team for future years to come. The money is going to come in,trust me! You can charge 200 dollars for the cheapest seat up in the third deck of the stadium and the jungle will still sell out! You have those dudes on your team. You have the talent on the roster and coaching staff in place to be successful for many years to come. Everyone wants to see Joe Burrow and the Bengals,so let’s make it happen. Let’s give the City of Cincinnati Joe Burrow for the next 10 years!! We will be be hoisting Lombardi trophies as long as Joe Burrow is our quarterback. Quite frankly to the fan's utter detriment on a number of occasions in franchise history. Burrow is the QB of his dreams so if there's one contract I have every faith will get done, this is the contract.

    I live in Cincinnati , have all my life & I absolutely hate the Bengals , Mike brown sitting up their saying all of this when what he doesn’t tell you is the teams worth is 3 billion dollars . Here’s the way I see it . The Mike Brown & the Brown family & the Bengals will never win a Super Bowl championship ever , they don’t want to put money into the team , the Cincinnati Reds have more history in the MLB than the Bengals have in the NFL . The Bengals will never win a bowl until Mike Brown & the Brown family relinquishes the team to someone they don’t know , yes sells the team to someone else . For years they’ve gave the shaft to the people of Cincinnati & re-negotiations are going to happen in 2026 with the city of Cincinnati , we might not have a NFL football team if the Bengals don’t get what they want from the city , & that’s ok with me . I guess Mike Brown & the Brown family & all of the Bengals players are happy & content with being second place . If I was drafted to the Bengals before the draft I would submit paper work to the NFL saying that I will not play for the Bengals ever & if I was drafted to them I would go play ball in Canada until they let my rights go to some other ball team . If I was Joe Burrow or Ja’Marr Chase & any other high value player , after my contract was up I would leave the Bengals & chase the money in the NFL that way when I retire , I would be set for the rest of my life . I hope they chase the money because they deserve it, the Bengals don’t deserve them .

    Translation
    We need burrow to take less, we cant match these other teams massive QB contracts, might work out might not, we cant pay higgins, hell we might not pay chase, were tight asses, hopefully we draft good again, enjoy it while it last

      How did you take that away from this ? Bengals have always paid their QBs. Relax . Seems like you're projecting past failures on the organization that they have corrected since Taylor took the reins .

    I’ve never understood any NFL owner ever squawking about money. There are not many sure things in life, but owning an NFL, you are guaranteed of making a HUGE profit EVERY YEAR!!!! That is not hearsay, that is a FACT!!!! In other words, if you own an NFL team you are SURE to make a HUGE profit every year NO MATTER WHAT!!!!!!!!! So for ANY owner to EVER complain about not having enough money is ridiculous. Remember, GREED is one of the seven deadly sins.
