How I Fixed and Removed Blinking Red LOS in PLDT Internet Modem

- When I woke up this morning I could not connect to the internet. When I checked my PLDT Modem, I saw that the LOS was Blinking red. I performed troubleshooting without calling PLDT Technical Support and now my Internet is working perfectly. LOS Blinking Red has been removed.

Mine got fixed once the third step is done (removing the blue colored wire thingy for PON). Was very scared for the 4th step, but thankfully it didn't have to go that far for me. Thank you for this very helpful troubleshooting video 😀
I am having this same issue, was gonna do the same but my panel have big sticker saying "don't open "
this looks very simple I will try what you did, better than wait for weeks for support to come.
@@SimpleBasics95 thanks for the suggestion, the technician manged to come today to check it out. it turns out the fiber cable on the street was damaged due to some construction works. it took 2 hours to replace with new cable now its working perfectly.
Simula nung kinabitan kami ng cabinet tulad sa last method mo . sa tuwing na rereboot yung modem namin na kahit may internet . nag LLOS . Naayos ko sakin pag 20 mins ko pinagpahinga . pero pag mangyari man ulit . gawin ko yung last method mo . salamat , Laking tulong 😁
My los wire has been removed from the los socket. How do I put back the wire inside ?
The wire that goes inside the blue thing under the box has been pulled out. How do I put it back in ?

Before you do this dont use a knife if you cautious, you can still use knife to open the optical fiber box but becarefull if you cut one WIRE you cannot put it back with a tape.... try searching the optical drive how it works

I just unpluged some wires and LOS has the red light , nothing works ...b
sir tinawagan po namin kanina yung pldt regarding din po sa LOS. sabi po samin na sensitive daw po yung blue cord na yan and we were told to not to remove it po. medyo naghe-hesitate po akong gawin po yung method po.

Sir, paano po kung hindi red yung LOS but the PON is just blinking all the time and there is no internet. NOT CONNECTED it says there. Please help.
I have my wire directly connected, I can't unplug the one from wall what do I do
note: tanong kayo sa kapitbahay kong may connection ba sa kanila,..kung wala wag na kayo magbtroubleshoot dahil nasa linya ng poste o linya sa labas ang problema..kaya e report agad sa pldt.

Pano po pag isa lang yung panel? Sa loob lang meron sa labas ng bahay wala rekta na agad sya sa poste. Ginawa ko na step by step kaso isa lang panel namin

basic trouble shooting. baka maluwag lang yung fic niyan kaya nag LOS yan. pinaka worse niyan yung putol yung fiber mismo.

I did this and did not waste time calling my ISP, it happened again but it was because a trailer hit the cable to our modem, then I called tech

@@SimpleBasics95 ahhh ganun po ba tama po pala ung mga nababasa ko sa internet na built in ang mga modem na naka ON 24/7.
First time lang po kasi namin mag.pakabit kaya medyo natatakot din ako lalo na pag.mainit ung modem (baka sumabog or kung ano ba)

I didn't even call a helpline and I fixed it on my own :)
I only called them to replace the wire that is broken.

Sir done with those troubleshooting but still not working. Red LOS is still showing, couldnt contact 171 tech supp do you have any more steps i can do? Very important for homebased

ganyan din ang nangyari sa pldt home fiber ko off kodin at tinanggal ang saksakan nagkaroon naman now ng signal the problem naman sa landline naman di nagkasignal may signal ang internet na mababa ngalang pero ang landline naman ang walang signal
Ayaw po gumana nung ginawa ko po yung guide niyo. Still blinking (los) no landline. Good condition po ang wirings. Nireset ko po few times. Still the same situation.

I get around -25 dbm to -30dbm received optical power, i rolled the excess fiber cable before and every now and then mag LOS siya

Nagawa ko na lahat ng troubleshoot nya mag reset na rin ako pero wala pa rin ilaw yung power nya isang blink lg meron at wala sa iba. Ano po dapat gagawin?

@@SimpleBasics95 I was hoping the panel disconnecting thingy would work (after trying all other troubleshooting) but still didn't work. Tried the panel disconnect with the modem turned off and unplugged. What do you mean by trying to do it with modem turned on?
