The most important bit for the Nismo 350 is the seem welded shell, everything else can be brought off the shelf, even the engine was unchanged from the 300ps DE.
I agree! It's amazing that Nissan spent the time and money to send every one of the Nismo chassis off to be seam welded. It's definitely one of the hidden gems of the car! Thanks for checking out the video I appreciate the support.
The Nismo 350z's chassis were taken out of the factory lines and sent to Autech, Autech Japan also tunes GT500 class Nismo racing car engines (Skyline GT-R R34 and Fairlady Z Z33) competing in the All Japan Grand Touring Car Championship (renamed to Super GT in 2005) against other tuners such as BMW Motorsport, Mugen, and Toyota Technocraft.
Thanks for the knowledge! I think it's super cool that Nissan did that with the 350z! Thanks for watching I hope you enjoyed the video. I appreciate the support.
Loved the video. I didn’t know about the damper that the nismos have. Very cool. The track edition does have the brembos. Im actually putting them onto my touring edition now after I got them powder coated.
That car was built by the same race team that builds Nissan race cars has the Nismo name but it was not done by their in-house tuning division which is why it's spot welded and seen while dude because it was built by a real race team that 350Z is a legit homologation race car for the street built for car enthusiasts and people who are in the tuner culture they will be the ones who get the most out of the car and enjoy it the most
I love it when companies make homologation race cars like the 350z Nismo! I really love mine and can't wait to take it to the track one day where it is meant to be. Thanks for watching the video and checking out the channel I appreciate the support.
That's awesome! You'll love the Nismo when you get it! Before my Nismo had had the same set up you have now. Thanks for checking out the channel I appreciate the support.
Thanks so much! So the Nismo isn't any faster than the normal HR 350z but it handles miles better. Thanks so much for checking out the video I really appreciate the support.
You're so welcome I'm glad the video was helpful! I actually got super lucky. My old Z got totaled in an accident and that week my Nismo was posted for sale and I went and bought it with the insurance money. I see them come up for sale often I would use Autotempest.com to search for one but I also use Facebook Marketplace. Let me know if you get one! Hope the search goes well. Thanks for watching the video I really appreciate the support.
@@ogchichi Thanks man I appreciate it. If I can answer any more Nismo questions let me know and I'll do my best to get the right answer. Good luck with your search.
I just bought a fake one I think. Even has issues. I went to the dealer today. Got some credit and he's like "it's a nismo tho" it's still an expensive car. The center console does not have the nismo number, nor does the speedometer. Just has break covers and emblem. Help!!!
Oh man I’m sorry to hear this. So the first this time look for is the nismo plate on center console behind the shift knob, next check the speedo and if it doesn’t say Nismo then it’s not a real Nismo. Also, all 350z Nismo have the HR engine so if it has anything else in there it’s not a Nismo. I’d tell the dealer it’s not a Nismo and try to get your money back if you can. I’m so sorry that this happened to you. If you need more help let me know.
@@chasemonson_ yeah. It's a touring. Aka base I think. Cool but they sold as a Nismo and talk so much shit. Since it's a used car please I'm not really sure what I can do. I think they have laws on their side tho. Idk. I like the car. Just. Why lie... That just hurts my soul.
@@TheLoLzSickKidz Tourings are still pretty good. They come with lsds so they make good cars. I hate that that happened man breaks my heart. On the bright side your Z looks really good with the Nismo kit on it and it’ll look even better with the mods you do. I’m sorry this happened!
@@TheLoLzSickKidz That would be considered false advertising, as they did NOT sell you the right product. You should go to a local lawyer, I’m sure you’d be able to at least return it and get your money back. There’s a lot of laws in place to pretext the consumer too.
Used cars are sold as is. It's up to buyer to confirm condition of the car. Even if it broke down or different engine under hood. Unless the car is stolen, they didn't do anything legally wrong. If what you say is true, and they did lie intentionally, i would leave reviews of the dealership on yelp, Google maps, UA-cam etc. Don't be mad or lie, be as honest as possible on how they mislead or lied to you. This will definitely make them lose customers and they will probably contact you to resolve amicably.
Hey Chris, thanks for the info. I completely forgot about the exhaust but I didn't know the radiator core support was different. Thanks for checking out the video I appreciate the support.
I was going to ask about the fresh air intake and exhaust system difference. I'm pretty sure the Nismo has a true dual exhaust that is tuned for the car. I'm not as sure about any air intake differences or tuning parameters on the chip for the extra hp & torq. The newer models also seem to have better performance seats from Ricaro but I'm not sure about the early 2003 - 2005's. Clutch differences? Wheel hub bearings on DE 350z might be better as it's a known upgrade to get 370 units if/when the 350z DE goes bad. @@chasemonson_

Can't stand the rear bumper on the nismo 350Z. Front bumper is alright, but I'd rather have the 370z nismo style bumper for the 350z. Spoiler is good.
A friend of mine is offering to sell his to me for 15k what do you think man? Is it worth it? Currently own a 04 Acura RSX type S
It all depends on the mileage and how well its been taken care of. It sounds like a good price to me but Id have to see it for sure.
