I did have to call customer support to get the pod to work. Small glitch, but still would not have been able to use it without calling for the fix. I think that should be in the directions. I bought one and sent it back, and re-purchased.

It is very easy to clean and all the little extras, all have a place on or in the xBloom so the pieces don't get lost in the utinsle drawer or junk drawers. I would highly recommend this to anyone. It will NOT disappoint!

was using a smaller than standard coffee pot machine. Had hell of time getting a cup mixed to my liking. These one cup machines are easier to adjust when adding creamer or in my case usually part of my protein shake.
Not as good as handmade but the machine does al the work so I will happily compromise. I've done what James Hoffmann said he did which was to play with the default grind settings to varying results.

The Kalita 155 filter is too floppy, without structure, and will fold up on itself when the xBloom pours water over the grounds in a circular motion. The xBloom pods have their filters attached to the pod cup so this is not an issue. Stupidest thing I’ve ever crowdfunded.

was using a smaller than standard coffee pot machine. Had hell of time getting a cup mixed to my liking. These one cup machines are easier to adjust when adding creamer or in my case usually part of my protein shake.
Not as good as handmade but the machine does al the work so I will happily compromise. I've done what James Hoffmann said he did which was to play with the default grind settings to varying results.

The Kalita 155 filter is too floppy, without structure, and will fold up on itself when the xBloom pours water over the grounds in a circular motion. The xBloom pods have their filters attached to the pod cup so this is not an issue. Stupidest thing I’ve ever crowdfunded.
