This year I tried a raised bed and to prep the area, I dug at the general spot. Apparently, about 2" below the surface, I found 3 very large flagstone rock pieces, about 12" length on each. So if I had tried to put rebar down in these spots, I may have hit some resistance. There's probably a whole lot of stuff buried just a few inches under the soil in all these neighborhood homes.
Here’s a tip Wendi, when using a hammer, hold it from the bottom end rather than under the head. It will be a lot easier & more efficient to use ! Good video :)
I love the mulberry branch reuse! And your bittergourds are looking great. Mine are ok, but I did not keep the weeds pulled very good this year. Keep the videos coming, thank you!
I feel the urge to leave this comment. You are a true gardener! I have seen videos where "gardeners" spend loads and buy artsy/fartsy implements and throw it together to form a garden. Not impressive at all. The real beauty and creativity lies in repurposing, reusing, hacking, experimenting, salvaging from scrap and then creating the garden. Your garden is soooooo cool! Very soothing to the eyes and mind. I do something similar, except on a much larger scale, in over 2500 of planted space in my backyard, growing over 70 varieties (all types of eggplants count as one) of vegetables and have some fruit trees that I have planted (apples, peaches, pears, figs and grapes). If you happen to be in the East Coast (NJ) please visit me. Also, if you are interested in tried and tested varieties that I grow, lemme know and I will share seeds (for free).
How did you connect the middle vertical conduit pipe to the top horizontal pipe? I see that you used the corner connectors at the end. We are trying to figure out how to do three way.
I try to repurpose, reuse… I remember seeing an old wood ladder, painted, and placed in a garden. I kept kicking myself because I had an old wood ladder I got rid of☹ I could see all the things I could have done with it now😹
@@wendiland can you please give me a link, what kind of cutter? I know it's pretty hard to cut rebar. I have to build trellis by myself, because my husband is not a handyman, 😄.
WHERE were you able to buy rebar that DID NOT LOOK like it had been RUSTING for 20 years??? The rebar at Lowe's is a hot RUSTY MESS, and you surely need gloves to handle it!!!
I love the simplicity of using a rebar instead of driving the posts into the ground. Thanx for the tip.

love the idea, I need something to hang mounted orchids and this is a great idea.
Great video! You did an awesome job. I plan to build a trellis for next year’s garden planting green peas, dongua, and tomatoes 😁
Good project, smart option when don’t have the vehicle or space to load cattle panels

Great video! Thanks for sharing!
Hope it’s helpful for whatever that is needed for your garden. :)
This is so awesome... I have been looking for something like this..... Omg... Thanks
Great job Wendi !

What is the green netting and where is it found?
Good idea looks good
Would this be sturdier than stakes and rope?
Have you tried using PVC conduit instead of metal
Yes it’s easier and cheaper, but not as sturdy.
@@wendiland Thanks. Good job!

There are “T” connectors (3 way) you can get.
Thanku. How much total for this project?

Such an independent woman. Makes me want to help you more hahaha
You're gorgeous! The project is cool, too.

Hi , where did you buy gotcha connect ?
Most things are from Home Depot. Refer to description box below this video w/links to materials and tools for project.
Em gái giỏi quá! Cô đã 60 tuổi rồi rất thích cái trellis này. Có thể cho cô biết tên của cái phần rap của hai cái ống lại được không?
Co Di Home Depot co do
Hi Wendy
The rebar is 10 feet long, how can you take it home? I was asking if they can cut it for me, 😄, the answer is no, they can't.
You can buy a cutter to cut it there. That’s what I did. Good luck!

Where is your location, I love to see your plants, so impress by you, watch your videos
pro tip: you can watch series at instaflixxer. Been using them for watching a lot of movies recently.
@Erik Toby yea, I've been watching on InstaFlixxer for since december myself :)
Cow panel and T post should be easier to install and sturdier.
Would love to use that if it was easy to get hold of, and a vehicle to bring it home!
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
