Have a 74 plate upgraded from a 2019, new one trend, arm rest optional extra, auto folding mirrors optional extra, underseat storage extra, steering wheel folding extra.. fuel tank tiny old one 1 a week fill up this one 3 times for the same milage, comfortable but pet hates include all climate now on screen no buttons, stop start turn off through settings and resets every start up.
Got these in our fleet. USB ports stopped working after a less than a 1000 miles, gives error "usb device plugged in has stopped responding". keeps throwing out an error saying "check tailgate" which is always closed, then disappears. Has locked me out of the rear cab a few times, stand there locking unlocking and it just wont unlock. Every door handle is "pull" handle, old style, the rear tailgate door is electric button which has a delay, first you have to make sure you press the button right, then wait for it to open the lock then you can pull, slight delay but if you have a pull handle you will just pull and it will just open the door with your pull, if you do that with the electric button it will pull you back because you would be pulling it before its unlocked. Not a massive delay but a noticeable one so much so you have to change your habit of just pulling a door open. Same or similar problems accross the fleet. Not all but alot of them have issues. USB issue i googled and apparently ford will eventually turn around and say its your cable. When it could be an original apple cable or a cable from reputable manufacturer. Just because they cant fix it or dont want to they will shift the blame onto you so they can get away. You could even ask em to sell you a compatible cable and they will say they dont sell em cos if they do theyre still going to have the same issue.
i would prefer if they just kept the old shape and in stead put all there effort into fixing all engine problems and make it into a reliable van you can trust
Mark. Yea please! Your reviews of vans and commercial vehicles are second to none! Yes the Transit is an icon! Even head turning. That said shocked to read the comments below on the Friday night shift, dog's dinner of the new spec Transit. Perhaps the " don't be first to buy, wait 6 months" applies? Surely Ford will get the Transit " spot on". Back to reviews. More pick up trucks. Here the farmers appear to be buying Ford Rangers by the " bucket load". Cheers! 👍👍
I have unfortunately just taken delivery of one of these vans and it is the worst van I’ve ever had. Three weeks and it’s been back to the garage three times and not been able to fix it. The sat nav does not work it many places because the r deliver can’t pick up a signal. Some mornings it will not start and a message “vehicle blocked” is displayed for over ten minutes. It wants to try and do a software update most days. If I pressure wash the underneath the footwell is wet because of all the unfinished holes and seams underneath. In fact it’s not even seam sealed or painted underneath. Wiring connectors are exposed to the weather and in places such a wheel arches. The inner wheel arches don’t even fit properly. The seats have a label on them saying “low cost” which is terrible for a £50,000 vehicle. Then there are all the driver safety distractions/hazards, sorry “aids” that pull the steering wheel to the side and apply the brakes when ever it encounters something like a side barrier on the road or a speed chicane. There are many more faults and most are ignored by ford or not able to be fixed.
Currently driving the previous version but the sport model and had this new mk3 custom limited on loan for 2 days loved the gearbox they have finally got the ratios right ie lower meaning 3rd gear for mini roundabouts no problem now, steering is very light but feels like more turns lock to lock which combined with the soft suspension means it’s more van/lorry like to drive. I found lots of annoying rattling from the drivers door and general road noise seemed uncomfortably loud. Also hated the main speedo display looks incredibly cheap Chinese also air vents have no individual turn off and generally plastics seem cheaper. I need to try a higher spec Auto but otherwise disappointed as been waiting for this van for a while.
you compare with driving a normal car... good, how does it compare to a chevrolet express van ? and that is really a normal car with an airplane cockpit... and ford custom ?
Ford have really dropped away. For the passenger market , they have very very little to offer anymore. I’d be surprised if they are still selling in Ireland in 10 years
Diesel has the stupid ass wet belt system timing guaranteed to fail I wouldn't waste my time I've had one before just rubbish even when you do early oil service😢
Crap. Bought one 4 weeks ago and haven't seen it for the last 2. So many problems. Rejected it and I'm now waiting for something else. If anyone has the model before this, please keep it
Paint issues, powertrain malfunction with historic codes. Oil life is at 0%, constant deisel filter blockage. Satnav doesn't work. Reverse camera sometimes works. Screens come on when they feel like it. No arch liners. No check straps. Uncomfortable seats. Doors don't shut properly. Wires exposed through out the cargo area. I think that's it mate. 70 plate had no problems in 3 years.😢
Yep. I absolutely love my 2015 Transit Custom, 6spd 2.2td, no DPF, no adblue, brilliant fuel economy, so many positives things on the 2015 gone on these new ones. Lost a sale, will look after my 2015.
Just so you know, the 2024 VW Transporter is made by Ford at the same manufacturing plant as the Transit Custom. All made at the Ford / Koc Otosan plant in Turkey. Underpinnings are the same with the only difference being badge engineering.
Loving this. I think Nobby on vans has a lot of Potential
Genuinely. As a dad with four children, who don't drive I do a fair few hauls, and hire a van. I find these kind of reviews really helpful. Thank you.

We're having a lot of problems in our fleet with these, the maps do not work properly and I've had seat sensor issues
this looks exactly like the Renaul Trafic 2023

Ranger is useless for anything but a farmer.
Just picked up my 24 plate. Any idea where the height adjustment is for the drivers seat…I’ve looked everywhere😂

Sounds like a nightmare. Personal van or company one?
More vans please

Love your presenting style, I think the Primastar offers better value
Wet belt still? Is there a 4-wheel drive option?
Yes wet belt, yes AWD option, but only in Automatic diesel.
@@zoltrix7779 Well if they want to sell them they should make the first wet belt change free. A courier would need this done in 18 months?
Probably one of the best vehicles ever 👍
Does this vans engine use a wet belt?
Yes
Unfortunately yes
Boom
In Australia Ford offers 5 year unlimited km warranties.
These are flying out the door at the moment incredibly popular, if your looking to lease they are dirt cheap for what you get
Can’t stop seeing them this week now that I’ve been driving one
4 wheel drive and im sold
Option on Automatic diesel only.
No armrest is a deal breaker

Ive had my 2014 for 6 years.
chain cam, 550,00km runs perfect.
@@RIPPERTONyeah you're lucky then the timing chain ones did go better than the stupid ass wet belt system

Alot of extras with pants pulled down
Ford hates cup holders
Oh oh, wet belt.. haven't ford learnt yet ?
They have learned. that's why they changed it from a chain to a wet belt, so that they can sell more belts.
Goat?😂 havnt been the goat for about 30 years. VW transporter and vito wipe the floor with a transit custom
Full of 💩 you are
