The best video I have seen to date with no fancy crap, no millennial brat looking for face time on a video, and annoying music. Well done, and thank you!
Your videos are the best. I fixed a broken iPhone someone gifted to me and now it is 100% functional. Thanks to you cost me less than $70 fix 3 issues. Looks like new now. A $400 iPhone 6 Plus cost me less than $70. Thanks a lot. I did subscribed and I have you thumbs up
Thank you so much for this tutorial!! I dropped my phone in the water and it was suggested by another youtuber to replace this (he linked to your video) and perhaps the battery. We replaced this first since we recieved it in the mail first and the phone charged and turned on!! I am so happy that I get to retrieve all of the precious photos and videos of my kids. Thank you Lord!
Just used your video to fix my iphone 6 plus, and it worked flawlessly. I did lose one screw, but it didn't matter (thank god). good stuff my dude! i'm def subscribing to your channel.
Just completed this and I can’t thank you enough for this tutorial! Followed the other video and we replaced the battery and the port. We have lines in the screen though. No matter how delicate we pressed the ribbons down, it still exist. Very possible it was bad beforehand but the charging port wouldn’t allow for a charge so I’m going to follow another video on changing the screen out!
This was great! I never thought I could fix my iphone, but thanks to watching your video a LOT I just did! I am NOT a techie - just a single mom that didn't want to spend $$$ for a repair or phone replacement. Thank you!!
Once again Jerry you come to the rescue. Using your videos I’ve successfully changed my screen, and now my charging port. Your easy to follow instructions are terrific. Admittedly it took me a bit more than 6 minutes but that’s only as I have the dexterity of an ape with arthritis 😂. Phone now charges without me needing to jiggle the plug about. Success!
Thank You Very Much Jerry for putting out this video! It is by far the most detailed and easiest to follow instructional video on iPhone repair I've ever seen!
Thank you! Great instructional video. Just replaced my charging port with a new one purchased on ebay for $7.95. Great savings plus built confidence in being able to work on my iPhone.
Thanks for the video it was very helpful. Unfortuntly I have ran into a snag. The old charging port worked kinda. (if you held the cable right) the new port does not seem to be working at all. Is is common that the new ones do not work? Thanks again.
This is the best tutorial out there. The sound is 'tunneled' or 'muffled' after re-assembly. Any thoughts? Nothing was left out, everything back where it was before.
Couldn't have done it without this video - thank you. One thing I would add (for those of us getting on a bit), would be to have a magnifying glass handy.
Best video I've seen thank you. Not sure what's wrong with my 6 plus but I replaced the battery, I plug in a charging cable and it vibrates, shows its charging (lightning icon beside battery) but the battery is draining and there is no charge at all. This video helps a great deal to take it apart and investigate. Thank you !
I replaced the charging port and followed your guide. All went well aside from 2 screws going missing. Not my question. The vibrating motor won't vibrate the phone. It works. I can hear it. Just not as powerful
so detailed, can you tell me what function do the wired cable? My 6plus dont charge and after disassembly with this tutorial I can see that the wired cables are disconected in first place ... can be this the cause the phone dont charge?
Hi you didn’t mention you have to bend ribbon parts to fit and some replacement parts are not accurate when it comes to positioning holes for screws. Next to the jack my microphone cable tore off so now I have to order another one.
Very good vid thanks. No luck though. I tried this and the battery replacement. I've got a u2 chip coming in the mail but after that i'm out of ideas. It's possible I broke a connection somewhere but i don't think so. any suggestions?
Okay, i've NEVER done anything like that before but i got it done. From opening to exchanging the doc took less than 10 min but putting everything back took 2 hours. It was hard to line up everything perfect and i mixed up the screws. 2 screws won't fit so i left them out. I did see lines after hooking up the 4 cables and then the phone was "on" but wouldn't turn off. I freaked out but after reconnecting everything, worked good. BTW, small screws are PITA. Thanks so much. Sub'd
Followed the guide and was very careful with the screen but I can't get rid of the lines on the screen no matter how many times I disconnect the 4 bits and re-insert them. Any help?
Hey Jerry, I am doing a iphone 6 plus screen and I have run into something I have never seen before. I took off the metal insulator backing and there is another metal cover behind it. I have done about 50 various iphone screens and never run into this. any thoughts?
Hey buddy great tutorials , my iPhone 6 plus is all dark , it doesn't turn on at all, it was not water damaged , can you tell me where to start trouble shooting first, I have no idea where the problem is , I've tried different cables to charge, but nothing, its all dark screen . Thanks.
Does anyone know if he had to solder stuff, I mean like heat gun and stuff, cause when he took off the entire port with ribbon cables and stuff there was this clear goo, which I think is solder or thermal paste that you replace and heat to install the port?
My 6+ just suddenly stopped charging. Also my PC / iTunes no longer recognises if I attach the phone via USB. The phone WILL charge very slowly if I have it turned off completely. I've verified the cables and charger are good with another phone. If I turn the phone off and and plug it into a charger it will turn back on. However the lightning symbol to say it's charging does not appear when attached to the charger or my PC. I've put the phone in DFU mode but iTunes still can't see it. I know the battery is good because it does take a charge and the phone can be used. I have managed to do a software update from iOS 11.3 to 11.4 and this did not resolve the issue - Am I right in thinking the primary suspects are now hardware? Specifically the Charging port assembly?
I may have to give this a try, I just looked on Apple.com and an after warranty repair is $329 just for the service fee! And I'm sure they'll inflate the cost of the charging port.
+Munchito696 Well I just saved myself time and money. I looked inside my port with direct sunlight and noticed discoloration at the back of the port. Then I thought of something... Compressed pocket lint! I broke a toothpick in half and used the splintered end and ended up digging out compressed lint and it works now! I figured blasting compressed air would get any lint out, but I guess it was packed in so tight that it needed something to break it up. If you are having charging problems check for that first.
you are my hero, just had this problem and this solved it. At first i thought it was my port that was messed up because the charger would wiggle. Turns out it was the lint and now it does move at all and charges. Thank you !!!
Munchito696 Your comment on the lint thing saved me $ and trouble. Thanks bro. I read your comment and went to work on getting all the fucking lint out. As I was doing it, the videos kept playing automatically, and one came on that explained the same thing. But you saved me bro, thanks !!!!!
Thanks for the video. Before replacing the charging port I was able to wiggle the cord and get it to charge. ( tried several cords with the same result.) Unfortunately, after replacing it, everything works except it won't charge at all. If I plug in the lightning cable with the phone off, it wakes up the phone but will not charge it. I ordered and tried another charging port and have the same result. Any ideas? Did I miss connecting something? Thanks in advance.
Does anyone know if you can change the port and the battery at the same time? I need both and don't want to open it twice. I also don't want a good port and a bad battery unless I have to. Any knowledge would be helpful! Thanks
first disconnect your current battery and plug the old one in, see if it turns on. then try charging if it charges its good. Im in the same scenario so im playing it safe and opening it when i have both parts.
before i did this my battery was at 34% but when i pluged the battery back in when i finished my phone showed 5%. should i be worried. also idk if im paranoid but it kinda seem like it takes long to fully charge

Concise, excellent camera view, diagrams and all, and no beer cans or puppy's either Awesome!, thanks ;)
Lol. Thanks! I try to keep my puppies to a minimum.
Puppies make every video better. lol

Is this for the gold strips that make your phone charge?
@@zandria4974 yup
This video is super concise, easy to follow, well-done, man! This kinda stuff makes UA-cam so valuable.
watched, fixed, saved video to my playlist. hell yeah!
Thanks for the video it was very helpful. Unfortuntly I have ran into a snag. The old charging port worked kinda. (if you held the cable right) the new port does not seem to be working at all. Is is common that the new ones do not work? Thanks again.
Thank you for your videos! Just replaced the Touch-screen, Battery, and Charging-jack in my iphone 6-plus. Works perfectly!
I’m going to try this in a couple days when my tools and parts arrive. Nice tutorial. I subscribed.
This is the best tutorial out there. The sound is 'tunneled' or 'muffled' after re-assembly. Any thoughts? Nothing was left out, everything back where it was before.
Great video! Straight to the point and quick while not skipping any of the important info.
Couldn't have done it without this video - thank you. One thing I would add (for those of us getting on a bit), would be to have a magnifying glass handy.
Andy Brown “getting on a bit” meaning half dead and past your prime?
best iphone fix it video I've seen and used. Worked perfectly. TY🙏
THANK YOU, JRE. Worked perfectly. Saved me lots of $$$.
Joel Harris Heck ya! Glad I could help out. Saving money is the best.
Youre the king, bruh.
Best video I've seen thank you. Great instructions! My phone still won't charge:(. But your video and instructions and quick response to my email question was A+!
Chris MacArthur did u find out what was wrong with it
Great and very clear instructions. Thanks a lot. Just finished changing my iPhon's charging port.
Great Video! Worked Awesome! I wouldn't have tried without it.
Will this same tutorial work for a 6s Plus? And will the charging port be compatible as well?
Excellent video, just did this tonight with the help of your video 😁👍😎
Thanks for the tip Jerry. Tedious man...Your fingers really take the center stage....hahahaha....good job man!
Gotta do this for a friend! Thank you SO much for this vid! Amazing job!
Any tips for removing a stripped screw? the lower screw on the vibrator motor... might just drill it out, not sure though. Thanks
Awesome tutorial. Worked like a charm.
did you face any problems?
Shouldn't you disconnect the battery before screen removal and replacement?
island vacation only if your phone is still on 🍩
Hi you didn’t mention you have to bend ribbon parts to fit and some replacement parts are not accurate when it comes to positioning holes for screws. Next to the jack my microphone cable tore off so now I have to order another one.
Thank you for your excellent videos. 👍🏻
Are all the screws the same size? Or do they need to be kept separate
what is the function of the black wire cable you mention?
Aragrev7 following
hey zack, where can i get a little clear plastic thing that you use to pop out the cables?
Great Video..
Mine all works ok after this but now the thumb print doesnt work? Did I have to turn that off before I changed the screen?
Thanks
Very good vid thanks. No luck though. I tried this and the battery replacement. I've got a u2 chip coming in the mail but after that i'm out of ideas. It's possible I broke a connection somewhere but i don't think so. any suggestions?

great tutorial! worked well
Is there much of a difference with replacing the port on the iPhone 7 Plus?
Good tip don’t plug in the battery before putting the screen in because u can short the screen out happened to me and I lost a perfectly good screen
I really appreciate your video change my pin connector and it turned out fantastic thank you very much
This was a very helpful video thanks
Thank you so much. You're awesome
What typically do you need to replace if the idevice gets water damage?
It worked good but on the microphone is that the tubular shaped piece and if so the little rectangular piece located on frame is what?
Followed the guide and was very careful with the screen but I can't get rid of the lines on the screen no matter how many times I disconnect the 4 bits and re-insert them. Any help?

Great video! 👍🏼
What does that little button that's on the shield of the charging port to do?
I sometimes have trouble with the antenna clicking down in place near the battery connector. Any suggestions?

Where can I buy a replacement wire cable (the one next to the speaker)?!

It works 😍😍😍😍 thank you 🙏🙏🙏♥️
Exilent work .... weldone mate
Hello, I have a question..., my iPhone 5s brings line in the screen just after 10 seconds, what could be the problem?
Hey buddy great tutorials , my iPhone 6 plus is all dark , it doesn't turn on at all, it was not water damaged , can you tell me where to start trouble shooting first, I have no idea where the problem is , I've tried different cables to charge, but nothing, its all dark screen . Thanks.
maybe the charging port. try bring it to tech so they can check it
unlikely that it's a battery problem because it should try to boot with just a charger. Try checking your screen connections
plug it in to a 2 amp wall charger first
Qader Eshpari u
check your battery possable need replaced
Ip 6s and ip 6plus are same in charger pen pls answer my question??
Great video!
you saved me $$$ thank you sir!!!
Very good video, thanks. I replaced the port and now only half the screen is responsive to touch. What could this be? :(
Sam Matheson maybe the lego connectors
Can we connect iPhone jack with another Mobile

Hi I just want to ask you something. Can I change connector charging port Iphone 6s plus with connector Iphone 6 Plus? Please reply thank you so much!
idk that's a good question... if they connect the same and fit the same i don't see why noy
Does the 6 plus and 6s plus share the same charging port?
Excellent, thank you for the video
Which toolkit do you have?
My vibration cable tore can I still use the phone?
why did you not unhook the battery first to avoid any shorts?
I may have to give this a try, I just looked on Apple.com and an after warranty repair is $329 just for the service fee! And I'm sure they'll inflate the cost of the charging port.

+Don Wynia I'm having the same problem... have you found any solutions?
+evangelon2 hey Don, it was my cables. All of them where bad. You've probably already figured this out.
Does anyone know if you can change the port and the battery at the same time? I need both and don't want to open it twice. I also don't want a good port and a bad battery unless I have to. Any knowledge would be helpful! Thanks

thx man, saved me $70, great job.
If my charger port has a burnt smell from a fried usb charger cord do I need to replace it?
Good Video Very Helpful
gone through and done this checked it charged fine and then gone to use headphones and it keeps playing out of the speakers, any advice?
before i did this my battery was at 34% but when i pluged the battery back in when i finished my phone showed 5%. should i be worried. also idk if im paranoid but it kinda seem like it takes long to fully charge
What if one of the screws are stripped
Nice job THX
