Lol, Benjamin is so adorable! My mom nick named me "Dirty Gertie" when I was a child because I was always covered head to toe in dirt lol. Loved playing in the dirt digging, mud pies or just whatever. God made dirt & dirt don't hurt! That's my philosophy lol.
Amen! My daughter has a master’s degree in early childhood development and she would whole heartedly agree. It helps develop the immune system.
I remember all 4 of our kids grew spruces from tiny little starter pods like that; now that they're 35, 30 and 27 (twins) those starters are all beautiful trees in our front and back yard! What better way to teach a child life and healthy growing. We just old enough to not really remember who's tree is who's though. Loved this video! Waiting patiently (not) for about 2 feet of snow to melt here in Indiana.

I used to lay in the grass and watch the clouds. My mom used to say that if you watch the clouds long enough God will give you one that looks like something. So we would lay in the grass for hours watching and making out shapes and just talking and having fun and laughing. Those were the best times with my sister. 💗

OMG Benjamin is the most adorable assistant - ever.
Maybe you already know this but I thought I’d mention it just in case! The love in a puffs put off sooooo many seeds. When the puff turns brown, open it and three new seeds will be inside each puff with their own little heart on the seed itself. It was such a cool discovery last summer.

Love these videos - my seed starting has improved so much since I started watching your channel. I did wonder, why was there no vermiculite on the Love in a Puff? Does it not react well or is it just not necessary for the seeds that are really buried?
I wondered the same since the reason for the Vermiculite is to retain moisture.
@@mariafolch8067 And to prevent damping off. Some seeds need more light to germinate, that might be why she didn’t put it on the Love in a Puff.
Home Depot has a portable planting tray similar to yours for $10.10 with free shipping. Could not believe they even offered free shipping to my house. I do not live close to a Home Depot. It does have a small tray attach at back where you can keep your tools until ready to use. Have not tried it yet but please with the way it looks. Be using it very soon!
