• Empty black toner bottle becomes new waste cartridge, do not throw it away!

• Dispose of full waste cartridge, do not recycle it as it contains waste.
• Individual toner doors WILL NOT OPEN until toner is completely empty.

Two questions
1. Can I change a not yet completely empty toner cartridge anytime (earlier than the copier prompts to do it) to a new one in a Kyocera TASKalfa 2554ci?
2. Can insert a partially used toner cartridge into the machine?

Hi Nick. 1.) No, individual toner doors will not open until they are completely empty. This is stated at 0:51 in the video. 2.) Yes, you can insert partially used toner cartridges into the machine if the toner cartridges are not damaged and are the correct type for the machine. Please reach out with any more questions. @@CenturyCatalyst Ok thank you. The other day we had an issue, when this question came up. We have two machines, one them had the Magenta empty, and the Yellow almost full, and the other one had no Yellow but plenty of Magenta , and we had only Cyan and Black cartidges on the shelf. It was correct to assume that no way we could have had at least one working machine by moving one toner to the other machine.

What did happen between 2:03 and 2:04 in the video why the cut , is it a secret how the cartidge doors misteriously change from closed to opened state ? How do 'you simply have the door open' of a net yet empty toner cartridge?

Nick, this was simply a continuity mistake in editing this video. Cartridge doors will NOT open until the toner is completely empty. This is said at 0:27 in the video. When a toner is empty and the machine prompts you to change the toner cartridge, it will tell you to open the grey door/covering where the toner cartridges are located. If that toner is in fact completely empty, the respective toner door will open automatically as you open the grey/door covering.
