I love your reviews so much because of one reason, THEY ARE SO ACCURATE, Keep killing it man you are the only person I trust for reviews. So solid. Love the cuts to throws and your explanations, I might have to go buy some frisbees from you
Duuude!!!! So very much stoked you’re throwing a Fuse. Much like the Escape, the Fuse is underrated yet essential once one gets their hands on them. Straight, straight, straight!
Yeah! Those two are definitely ones where trilogy players all know about them… but those outside of trilogy don’t really think much about them, but they are GREAT!
I got an Opto-Ice Fuse in the L64 mystery box, and it immediately kicked the Opto one out of my bag. It's still understable, like a Fuse should be, but without burning over nearly as easily or being too straight. I love the Fuse for that understable mid slot, though I prefer the Compass for actual dead-straight shots and the Claymore for the 'room to work' straight shots. I think you'd really dig the Claymore, honestly. It's like a Compass that turns or a Fuse that fades, and I have both of my aces with it!
Something I've noticed with the MP2 "Meta" plastic, is it has a definite difference in look and feel from the Meta plastic seen in the Tilt and the RC3s. Those Meta seem to be very C-line/Chroma (IS4) like, while the MP2 Meta is more Neo like with some iridesence.
The fuse really started reemerging as a popular mid ever since trilogy started releasing more premium plastics. Gold-ice and opto-x make the fuse incredible!
I’ve been bagging mind bender and fuse trying to figure out which one I like better for straight wooded tunnel shots. It’s probably my form inconsistency but for me the fuse seems more predictable. I like the feel of the mind bender better but I can’t seem to find that consistent flight.
I've been loving the Mind Bender, flies exactly as it does in the video on the tunnel shot. I have the newer Jonathan stamp Fuses and it flies great, sneaky distance but the feel is not good for me. Both are great tho.
I've been putting off buying a fuse for a while, the ones I've thrown have been great, super smooth and glidey flight. But, I'm still jamming on the VIP Ice Tursas in the meantime!
I throw vip tursas and opto fuse. My Tursas is way more understable, hyzer flip to full turn and fuse will flip up and turn a little maybe but more straight for me. Tursas is very underated
Yeah the Tursas is great! Definitely an underrated mold! They have released a lot more special runs of that recently to pick up traction, but it definitely deserves more love!
@@ApolloDiscGolf yeah level competition plus you're a dealer - sell more Fuses. win win man. Honestly been loving the perspective reviews coming from someone that's not a monster/superior-form thrower. We just wanna have fun throwing plastic.
The reason you thought the fuse would be more understable is correct. The reason why it wasnt is because you got it in opto ice plastic, which is a naturally more stable plastic. So if you got a regular opto fuse, you would see some difference. trust me, ive thrown both.
I'm almost positive that the Innova Wombat3 is very close to the same disc. might be a bit sharper on the edge. I know flight numbers shouldn't always be trusted, but I'm pretty sure they're the same as well
@@ApolloDiscGolf that might be the real comparison to do lol. I feel like almost every manufacturer makes the same disc with the slightest little difference though, but those are the only 2 discs I've seen that have that specific shape.
been looking for this slot. I decided i no longer like the Infinite Kon Tiki because the rim is too thin... I was gonna try a Buzzz SS since I like the OG Buzzz ... My best friend throw a Meteor really well too
Should've gotten an Opto one as well, would've been slightly less understable ALTHOUGH the difference isn't usually huge. The Fuse is understable but not flippy, definately underrated. The flat/flat-ish ones are definately the best ones. Anyways everyone should try one. Everyone thinks a Fuse is super understable but it really isn't unless there's headwind
The Fuse can take power, but I guess it can be deep for some people (I only throw mids with a fan grip so I can release them cleanly). It is great to hear an awesome review of a disc even when it isn't the perfect fit for the one reviewing it 👍🏻
Yeah, I don’t know why, I just always thought of the fuse as a flippy mid! But it was nice and straight! I feel like if I got use to it then I wouldn’t have a problem with the release! It could have been the day too because I usually throw a beat up roc3 for my flippy mid and that’s pretty similar in shape!
Eyy I´m Jonathan 😀People should buy a Fuse and also your merch ❤🤘
The Gold Ice plastic feels amazing! 🙌🏼
Where did you come from jonathan! 😂
@@ApolloDiscGolf agreed. Gold Ice fuse is a total win! Reminds me of some quality old school vinyl from the 80's.
I love your common man approach and relatability you bring to your reviews and commentary.
Thank you! I appreciate that!
I love your channel, man. With all the disc golf channels out there, I always watch yours for every new video. Great job. Good stuff!!
Thank you so much! That means a lot! 🙌🏼
Fuse in Opto X is my favorite flippy mid. Lobster comes in at second.
The Lobster one? 😂
And I have heard good things about the opto-x ones!

Another great video from SMP...i bag a Fuse and the slightly more over-stable Compass in both opto and ice plastic.
Thank you! And that’s a solid combo!
The kastaplast k1 svea is almost identical to the opto fuse, love both molds, you should do a comparison on those 2, great hyzer flip discs..
Yeah, I definitely need to do more videos on Kastaplast stuff!

Yeah it’s been a really long time since I have thrown a fuse! I just tried it a little bit when it came out… but haven’t thrown one since!
I love my Fuse. Also, i ordered a Toque. I can hardly wait to wear it in the back half of winter.❤
Thank you! 🙌🏼
I’m pumped for them! They should be pretty dang warm!
Interesting to see I'm not the only person who slept on this disc. Just bought one the other day and can't wait to give it some rips.
Fuse begins where the classic DX aviar ends. Love em both! Gold Ice reminds me of old school vinyl. Some of the best plastic in the bizz.
Is that opening song saying, "buy fuse, buy a fuse"?!?! 😄
For real!!! I heard it too.
...buy Fuse...
dude lmao cannot be unheard now :D
I never noticed that while editing 😂
😄 Jonathan would be proud.
@@curdit9 😂😂
That Mind Bender looks like a Mako3 to me
I may have to get one of those when my super beat in roc3 stops having a perfect slow left to right pan
Yeah… it so hard to kick the beat up roc’s out of the bag 😂
Best disc reviews. Thank you!
Thank you! I appreciate it! 🙌🏼
I have a Jonathan version Fuse. I love it. Dead straight all day long. Very comparable but a bit more glidy than my Champion Mako 3.
Yeah that was such a cool release! 😂

Would love to see Fuse vs. Comet comparison video!
Oooo, that would be good! I haven’t thrown a Comet in a while!

Depends on your preference! Some people love the roc-type shape!
I love my Fuse....you should try the Fuse in the OptoX plastic...JohnE McCray version is sweet.
Yeah I have heard great things about the Opto-x! Their X plastics are great!
It is a bit more stable but feels so good… flight is similar but doesn’t turn over as much.
I have an Opto X fuse. Been using it ever since my mind bender went for a swim 😢

Try throwing the Fuse with a fan grip. Much easier to release and I can still get 'em around 300 ft.
Yeah, I might try that… I don’t usually fan grip stuff though.. might be a flaw, but I just power grip everything 😂
