This is a good video for a novice or expert for the installation of the law folding stock adapter. After watching the entire video I believe you will have no problem installing the law tactical folder.
I've got a Law Tactical AR folding stock adapter Gen 3-M still BNIB. I'm saving it for the 300aac 10.5" PDW im building next month. Currently throwing together a 4.5" AR9 that I've been tinkering with. Was going to use the law tactical on it initially. Then I stumbled onto a removable RAB-AD9 detachable buffer tube assembly adapter, and ordered it for the 9. Keep the footprint down as low as I can fttb.
Thanks, I appreciate that! Check out my channel, I may have some other install videos that may help you! Hoping I could earn your subscribe thanks again! 👍🏽
Yes, I did later on. I realized that screw was there after I made the video. So yeah, make sure you tighten that set screw. it’s just an extra set screw to ensure tightness. Thanks for pointing that out. Make sure to tighten it.
It looks like your bolt extender that came with the law tactical kit fit into your fx9 bolt. Mine did not. I had to buy a cheap polymer one from freedom ordinance. Why did yours fit and mine didn't? Good video by the way
Just mine together watching you video but the only issue with mine is the bolt carrier won’t fully pull back due to hitting the release button on the adapter. So imma take it apart and see what’s up
Yeah idk I took it apart again and put it right back together and it seems to be working just fine now. Bolt carrier is charging back fully now 👍🏽 I guess I just to break it in I guess but it’s working now 🙏🏽
That’s fine. My lower had one too but it is held in by a screw. Aero lowers are a but different. That’s why you didn’t see mine come out. So just make sure to put yours back in.
Do you not have a spring and detent installed for your rear takedown pin? Usually when you remove the castle net and back out that spacer the pin and spring want to come flying out.
That is because I have a different lower than you. my lower has a set screw for that pin so mine doesn’t ever come out unless I manually unscrew it most lowers like yours will have that and will pop out. Just make sure to put it back in.
I'm not sure if this would be legal in california. I got a 7.5 in barrel ar pistol with blade stabilizing brace. Not rim fired and doesn't have a fixed mag. Would love to know if it's legal or not before I do anything.
Tbh I’m not sure. I don’t know the restrictions for cali. If the website won’t ship the item to you then probably it’s restricted. If you’re able to get it shipped still then it’s probably ok. That’s my guess.
@@Redeemed_Team Thats my original guess too but California being shady, they probably made it legal to own the product, but illegal to install the product.
I have the aero precision M4E1 lower receiver. They are built different. The takedown spring is still in there. It never came out because a small screw is holding it in place. So that’s why you didn’t see anything because it never came out. Look up M4E1 lower on the aero precision UA-cam page if your still curious. Pretty cool design.
They make the tolerances tight on purpose to keep it nice and snug which I like. Great quality tho and it’s probably the best folding adapter in the market. Hands down. Enjoy.
It’s called a gun smith hammer thingy lol 😂 jk I believe it’s called an armorers wrench. I got it at sportsman warehouse! They sell a lot of these on Amazon too I believe.
That’s a good question I never had that issue. I’m not sure why your Ruger is doing that my thoughts are maybe the retention spring is sitting too proud. I would have to look at it and see it for myself to really help you better.
@Redeemed_Team I figured it out after I asked the question. This kit comes with an additional pin and spring. I figured I could use that one and if it broke I would still have my original. it turns out that pin is too high and that is what the extension runs into. So I installed my Ruger pin and spring and it works fine. Thanks for the reply
@@black84z28camaro not sure what your saying. My weapon is working no issues. Maybe I have a different lower receiver than yours. Idk. I have an aero precision M4E1.
Hello from T-Town! I’ve been thinking of putting together this exact setup and stumbled across your video. Have you had a chance to shoot it with the folder? Just curious if you’ve had any issues. Thanks and great video!
Thank you I appreciate your feedback! And yes I’ve had a chance to shoot with this folder alot! Absolutely no issues so far! Although I don’t use a normal buffer and spring that you see in this video! I actually use the Geissele super 42 buffer and spring setup in all my guns!
Could you tell me what the overall length of your weapon is while folded? I'm building a similar rifle and am also trying to figure out the correct size backpack to get. Thx!
Since you need the bolt extension this isn’t compatible with a 9mm blowback AR since it has the extra weight in the back of the bolt. I didn’t find a solution for that yet
Nice vid. I wish this god damn fucking adapter didnt cost $269..having to take the upper and lower apart and put them in two seperate areas of my backpack so they dont scratch each other is a pain but not spending almost 300 dollars is nice too. I wish the cheaper ones weren't crap.
I think this is the best tutorial for new gun owners. And I have seen many ones on youtube. Thank you.
Thanks for your feedback 🙏🏽
I agree

Best tutorial if seen in a while. Great job, my guy.
Thanks !

This is a great video on the install. One of the best I've seen.
Thank you feel free to check out some of my other install videos. Have a blessed day.!
FWIW don't forget the rear takedown retention detent and spring is behind the endplate. They are VERY easy to lose.
Good point!

Sounds dope! 💯
I’m sure a lot of people watching this were confused as to why their castle nut didn’t loosen with 6 ounces of pressure like yours did haha
😅😂🤣🤣 yeah sorry mine was already broke loose haha
Thank you brother, the need for a folder is here. I believe. I've resisted this move too long ! 🙏 👍
It’s a great unique attachment to have I think. 👍🏼
👍great video your explanations were on point and easy to understand. Great job, thank you.
Thank you 🙏🏽
Thanks for the video! Super helpful. I have one of these on the way.
No problem! Glad this helped!
Excellent how-to! Might try this on my DDM4 PDW blackout. Just hope it works! Thanks bud
It will work! 👍🏽
Wheres the rear takedown pin spring? Also, isnt there a set screw on the side above the button to lock in the inner collar?
My rear take down pin is held in place by a set screw. So it never came out. M4E1 lowers from aero precision have this feature.
@@Redeemed_Team it's weird cus after I commented I then saw another install video and he indicated aero precision lowers have captured springs.
@@EnergizerTX yes sir that is correct
@@Redeemed_Team does your law folder not have a set screw above the button? I was just looking to see if people put loctite on it.
@@EnergizerTX I’ll have to take another look at it when I get home. If it does I don’t remember using any lock tite on it.

Awesome job thank you very much!
Very good presentation! Thank you!
Great illustration , thank you. I'm gonna try to install one now.
Thank you
Excellent tutorial. Much obliged
Thanks for tuning in!
Where does the skinny spring that went into the buffer?
Great vid. Have you had any rusting issues w the Law Tac?
I haven’t. I do take really good care of it though.
thank you very good job helping us
Wheres your rear takedown detent spring? Oh you must have one of those lowers with the capture screw.
Exactly. Captured screw.
LGS wanted $50 and said it would take 4-5 days. I ended up ordering a $25 wrench from Amazon and did it myself. Thanks for video!🫡
Great video. You did a whole lot better than brownsnell.

Did you tighten the set screw on the receiver side of the Law folder? I didn't see that.
Yes, I did later on. I realized that screw was there after I made the video. So yeah, make sure you tighten that set screw. it’s just an extra set screw to ensure tightness. Thanks for pointing that out. Make sure to tighten it.

My lower is different. The spring detent is held down by a set screw. That’s why you never saw it fall out.
Can you shoot in folded position
I have one installed on my custom binary build and the detents that were supplied shear off every time I shoot with them. I’m taking it off tonight
What type of torque driver is that and where did you get it? Thanks.
Vortex torque driver. Get it on Amazon
Where can i get that castle nut wrench
Any gun store or sportsman warehouse
Amazon too

Glad this helped! 🙏🏽
Will this work on a PSA 300 BLACKOUT MARAUDER?
As long as the lower is molded after an ar15 style platform.
What is the brand of that castle nut removal wrench and where can I get one?
Armorers master wrench. Made by Real Avid.
Why do I have a pin in my back take down pin? I have that skinny spring. I didn’t see anywhere where you put it back?

Good observation. Yes I’m not sure about 9mm compatibility

Yeah a lot of people remove them you just hammer it loose
