I’ve listened to her talk about her plans. I haven’t made it to the website yet, but I feel inspired already. I can see her vision for raising the quality of life for all Americans. She’s right. When the middle class is strong, America is strong. You have people who have money to make and money to spend. Even people who complain about the workforce. If they have ideas and are willing to put in the work, they can become entrepreneurs. I see why this is seen as a threat to the other side, however. Large corporations often seek to dominate the market, which lets them control prices, make more money and have more political power. That creates an oligarchy. This is precisely why we need more small and emerging businesses. More and more you hear about them wanting to keep wages so low it’s hard to get by, much less get ahead. Hearing young people talk about how hopeless they feel that they will ever be able to afford a house lets you know how dire the situation has gotten. That’s also why many people don’t want to have children. Who can afford them? Most women end up raising their children alone, which often plunges them into poverty. Trump’s policies will make it even worse. Everybody will be suffering and scrambling, while he and his rich friends get richer. Our community has a crabs in a barrel problem. I'm proud beyond words to vote for VP Harris. I like her policies, which are available on her website for all to study. The choice is easy, vote 💙 Say no to project 25.
I’ve listened to her talk about her plans. I haven’t made it to the website yet, but I feel inspired already. I can see her vision for raising the quality of life for all Americans. She’s right. When the middle class is strong, America is strong. You have people who have money to make and money to spend. Even people who complain about the workforce. If they have ideas and are willing to put in the work, they can become entrepreneurs.
I see why this is seen as a threat to the other side, however. Large corporations often seek to dominate the market, which lets them control prices, make more money and have more political power. That creates an oligarchy. This is precisely why we need more small and emerging businesses. More and more you hear about them wanting to keep wages so low it’s hard to get by, much less get ahead.
Hearing young people talk about how hopeless they feel that they will ever be able to afford a house lets you know how dire the situation has gotten. That’s also why many people don’t want to have children. Who can afford them? Most women end up raising their children alone, which often plunges them into poverty.
Trump’s policies will make it even worse. Everybody will be suffering and scrambling, while he and his rich friends get richer. It reminds me of when the monarchs looked at the hungry and said “let them eat cake.” Cold. Callous. Self serving greed. #VoteKamalaHarris2024

Then you create a vision for what you would like to see, and work backwards to create a plan to eliminate its origins. Create a culture that supports achievement.
Will that eliminate the spirit of comparison and competition? I don’t know. I know I like collaboration and cooperation. That could move us further away from the acceptability of “crabs in the barrel” syndrome. Those are my thoughts about it, but the truth is this. It raises its ugly head in families, among friends, and even exists in marriages.
