Cow & Chicken humor was genius! It is definitely one of the funniest cartoons I've ever seen! I never understood why people called it a Ren & Stimpy rip off, the humor was very different and it felt original compared to other shows (and in the late 90s half of the cartoon shows had this "gross out" style, but many of them were not funny at all)...
Usually you watch something you loved as a kid and you find it's not as good as you remembered it. Personally for this it's the other way around. Then you realize that these cartoons were not made for kids....the creators made them because they liked it. And this show is brilliant. Back in the day when Cartoon Network was English in my country I always watched it since I love cartoons, even if I didn't understand most of it. However this is how I got my American accent. When I actually started learning English in school I remember it was a little weird since we studied British English XD Also I learnt to love voice acting without even knowing it. I recall a later episode where Chicken was searching for something in the closet, and one of the objects he dug out was what can only be Mom and Dad's upper bodies.
