This is a funny plot but there are countless shows with similar type of humour only in Norway. Denmark and Sweden also has good comedies. I know the Finnish humour is hilarious as well. Finland is Nordic, though.
This show is just pure gold. The concept of it is so fcking beautifull. It makes us question our stupidity of then and now. Any person who has a brouder consciousness will find this show hilarious. For me it's probably the funniest show i've seen all my life

Orm is surely not Harald III of Norway that led 18 battles from the front and went on to be the head of the Varangian guard in Byzantine before heading back to Norway to get his crown, then he decided to invade England (why not?) ALmost made it , but they where ambushed at Stamford Bridge.. Another Norwegian decendant did manage to invade and later unite England thought; William the conquerer.
In 1906, Horace Kephart wrote a book about the great outdoors. He wrote that you recognize a seasoned woodsman in that he doesn't show off, and brings a pillow. Loving it.
Yes guys. As a modern swede I can confirm that I do not have any training in swordfighting and would prefer to sit comfortably if going on a long journey. But please do share tales of your adventures o´ brave warriors!

It was the end of fishing for the day and was packing up, as I did so I accidentally knocked the middle section of my rod off the 20ft high concrete dock into the water where it could never be retrieved. Just as this occurred a Russian sailor was walking past with a prostitute on his arm, witnessing the event he remarked, "Do not laugh, do not cry, you say hello - he say goodbye" - the prostitute and he laughed and walked off, leaving me to stare into the dark water thinking of how angry my dad was going to be when I got home.

I know this probably makes no sense to foreigners but to me as a Norwegian, I am like: Can't you guys see the landscapes are typical Norwegian? Sweden is pretty flat. Norwegian is much more mountainous with fjords. And while the accent is exaggerated a lot, it is a typical Norwegian accent. Thick Swedish accent sounds quite different. Okay, okay, I realize to non Scandinavians it probably sounds all the same. But to us it sounds very different. Then again I can tell what party of Norway people are from based on their English accent. Every region gives a different English accent.
Can we NOT do that? There are some 'woke' homoerotic scenes, including the scene where Orm takes a pounding... The show is good. But not because of 'anti-wokeness'. Chill.

My god, this is a Norwegian show made primarily for Norwegians. Us Norwegians support gay rights, women's rights, and basic human rights, and that's something we as a culture are very proud of. Your American ideas of "sjw" and "woke" are not welcome or needed here, and pretty much everyone involved with the production of this show is what you would consider an "sjw" anyway. Get out of here.

This show repeats the mistake of running every anachronistic joke into the ground. Yeah we get it, the guy has modern sensibilities--it can be done if it's quick winks instead of goddamn paragraphs.
