  • Here's a delicious authentic Thai recipe for clams stir fried in chili paste, loaded with garlic, chili peppers and sweet Thai basil. This is a fast easy Thai dish to cook up at home. I only recommend using fresh clams if you can get them.
    This recipe will also work with littlenecks, topnecks and cherrystones which I know you can get fresh at your supermarket so get ready to make this delicious spicy Thai seafood recipe.

    Ingredients:
    500g (1lb.) Baby Clams
    3 Tablespoons Thai Chili Paste

    2 Tablespoons Minced Garlic
    7 Red Thai Fresh Chili
    30g Thai Basil (1 large handful)
    6 Tablespoons Evaporated Milk
    1 Tablespoon Oyster Sauce
    1 Tablespoon Light Soy Sauce
    1 Tablespoon Fish Sauce
    1 Teaspoon MSG (optional)

    Thanks for the awesome recipe Wally. I have made this dish many times with what I had on hand: different variations of seafood, substituted Thai Chili Paste with Thai red curry paste and added sliced ginger/scallion. It's always a hit with my husband.

    I've never watched a recipe and felt that I MUST try it. This is really a first! The combination of ingredients looks amazing, and it's not even that difficult! Thank you for this recipe.
    UPDATE
    This recipe is DIVINE!
    I have actually tried it, but without the chilli and thai basil because I didn't have any. I also added half a table spoon of sweet chili sauce. It's definitely a keeper. I've already shared it with my whole family.
