***** About Living Traditions Homestead *****
Living Traditions Homestead is all about living a simple and sustainable way of life. We believe the world has gotten too “busy” and that people are missing out on many of the true blessings this world has to offer. We started as a small urban homestead in Gilbert, AZ and after the city grew up around us, decided it was time leave corporate America and take a big leap of faith by moving our family to the Missouri Ozarks.
We put out new videos every week! We hope you will become part of our homestead family by subscribing to our channel and watching as we give up the rat race and live simpler, more fulfilling life in the country.

When I first started watching your channel, many years ago now, one of my favorite things was watching the ducks & chickens run out every morning! Running with wings outstretched with pure joy! Now your geese do the same. Loved seeing the pigs again, too! I have always liked cows, so seeing them was also good. I do miss seeing Sara's goats! They were so well trained! It was a joy to watch her with them. It is a pleasure to watch how wonderfully the two of you work together. Keep up the good work and take care of each other. Buy the way, how did the bulbs & flowers that Sarah bought at Walmart turn out? Did I miss a video on that? GOD bless
I had forgotten about those. I am interested too.
And the rabbits!
@@franceswatts4001 YES! The 🐇's
💚 Yes, haven't seen anything of the rabbits for awhile 💚
WOW! The ORCHARD trees look great! All of the fowl and the entire homestead looks super. You’re good Stewards. Blessings!
With all that is happening in our crazy country you guys are a breath of fresh air and a blessing to watch! All your birdies make me giggle!
And their homestead is one of the most eco-friendly farms that I have ever seen!!
Love all the animals. You treat them with so much kindness.
Thanks for inviting me along for chores. Being bed ridden from stroke recovery, it puts sunshine in my heart and day!
Blessings
I hope you have a full recovery
Get well soon. God Bless
Thanks to you guys this 66 year old lady on 3 acres in Haiku Maui one of the wettest spots on the planet has ventured into chickens! I followed you guys with the wooden log in ground beds. Did that after watching you and like you the wood rotted and I wanted taller beds. Just today I put together my 32” 9x2 Vego raised bed. We get over 100 inches of rain a year and when I discovered a plastic snap together coop that was waterproof for sale locally I snagged it. Was able to acquire the owners 3 1 1/2 year old female silkies too! It’s been about a month and I am so blessed to watch the little puffballs from my living room! Their egg production is perfect for my husband and I. It’s all because of your inspiration. Mahalo plenty for all your successes and failures as I have benefited from them greatly! Aloha from North Shore Peahi! Nancy Byrne
Love the animals and birds. You have such a beautiful farm place, absolutely gorgeous! I would never want to go anywhere, just be at home enjoying the beautiful scene and enjoying the farm! God bless you and keep you safe ! ❤️🙏🏻🇺🇸
Thanks for taking us around with you as you tended to your animals. You two are such great caretakers, loving and kind to your flocks and herds.
Good morning 🙏 chickens are beautiful, good luck on the baby cow. Goslings are huge. God bless you 🙏 ❤️
I love how well you care for your animals. Always making sure they have a clean safe environment and have all the nutrition they need. You help make Saturday mornings my favorite part of the weekend.😊
Love Kevin being the mama bird shoving the babies out of the nest!
Good morning, love all your animals! Thank you for sharing, have a lovely day!
It is so beautiful there at your place. The view from the pastures are amazing. ❤❤❤❤
You need to save that picture of the turkeys with the clouds in the background for a living traditions homestead calendar .
I remember back on the old farm every morning you would let the black ducks out of their house to eat, they would run and flap their wings so fast. It was adorable to see.
I love it when you show the animals and all the residents of Waddlesville
Wow, those clouds do look unusual. We love you guys!
Man made.
Every time I see those Polish Crested chickens I start laughing. They look like rock stars.
Those are asperitis clouds. Sort of rare but pretty!
I think this American Bresse chickens appear to be a great asset for a small farm. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the wonderful video. It's always a joy to watch you with the animals. You do such a good job and teach us so many interesting things.
Been with you guy's from the beginning (unlike some channels from there beginning) I'm so very thankful that you have remained the same peaceful with knowledge content..an never jumped on the fear factor bandwagon..may God bless your channel to continue to grow from the peace you share❤❤❤🕊️ I raised my children in Sparta an watching feels like coming back home🙏
The baby chicks are so cute!
And they will be delicious in only a few months 😊
Good Morning! Love seeing your animals!! We got to meet Air to Ground Farm yesterday at their new store!! Was good talking to them!! Kiddos are pleased with the coasters and tic tac toe they found that you guys sell there! Thank you!
I love these videos as well !!!
We had two calves born here on our farm over the last two days and they are just the cutest!
I always like the animal visits. 😊
Kevin us funny.. lol
Silky chicken don't fly. That's why they are so good to have. Plus they are adorable 😁
You guys have a lot of birds.😀
Always love to see your animals. I really enjoy your channel.
We love hanging out in waddlesville with you guys.
This was a really good video guys. We enjoyed it! Nice how you let the camera run (no dialogue) awhile after each chore was done to show the birds just doing their bird thing.
See you In September! 🌸
Love the video, thank you guys so much for sharing with us.
Thanks for sharing your animals with us. You take such great care of them.😊
Blessings Kiddos!🌻🐛💚🌿💕🙏
Really enjoyed watching 👍👍
OMG you are roasting your turkeys! that metal covering with no shade is like an oven, and only an open end with air. I put reflexives on my pens. It helps insulate form the heat and cold.
This is a very common design for a poultry tractor inspired by Joel Salatin.
@@LivingTraditionsHomestead Yes that may be. If I had one of them here in northwest fl I would have roast turkey. How do you build an oven all metal. You stated one died and you did not know why. I would put a thermometer in the cage and see how hot it gets. You will know right away if it's too hot or not. Best wishes. I have learned a lot from your video. You both are awesome teachers!
Wonderful video. I enjoy seeing the birds. You keep them so comfortable and safe. Thanks for sharing. Blessings to you.
I love the animal video check-ins!
I lov watching your videos
Beautiful place.
💚 Beautiful day on the Homestead, those clouds really were exceptional! 💚
Pretty chickens! Could you show in your next Q&A what the grit is? I had heard this years ago but had forgotten about it. Glad yall are getting some rain. Its raining here today!! We have been in a drought.
THANK YOU
When you roast your geese, can you take us along?
This is Mona 68 and clintonville Wisconsin saying thank you I love it
After that 6.3” from Beryl Jeffco Mo, on a 30* grade. They declared from the southern system that your getting so barely nothing for us until next week
I wonder with introducing the new turkeys esp and the chickens to their new environments, if you should also dunk their beaks into their new waterer, because sometines they arent the smartest birds, and need a little coaxing.?😂❤
I was wondering if you will be adding a roosting bar to the chicken tractor for the meat chicks to rest on.
Thank you for the update Kevin & Sarah. Prayers. God Bless you all in Love. Maranatha ! ( shared to f/b )
Morning
Hallo from the Netherlands. In Greece to make the turkeys fat ready for Christmas, they give pine nuts to them!!!
Awesome ❣️
That black & white chicken reminds me of Phyllis Diller.
I have 1 polish crested we call her Mrs. Howell, if you know you know lol
the turkeys want the grass back:)
Kevin... "You're going to a new home." Then he sings.."You're going to Love it!" That was cute. I LOVE your land!
It was a fun time watching all the happy animals! Thanks for sharing your knowledge & tidbits of your lives🤗🇨🇦
Another awesome video thank you
Thanks for the great videos 👍🤗
The pigs must be a little camera shy yet. 😆
Wow , sky is weird and cool looking
Thanks for sharing. I love watching you two on your videos.... You two are so blessed to have one another. Your homestead is beautiful and you two work so hard......
I just love your cows. They are so sweet faces and color. The fuzzy chickens are to cute. The pigs are eating politely :)
The clouds are wavy due to the upper winds!
That's what they say..
The turkeys nees grit as well
They have it.
Pausing already at 2:50. Those silkies and crested heads are absolutely gorgeous with their different colorings! Wow did they make me a first giggle, but after seeing them the colors are really something❤
I love seeing you with the animals. 😀 Thanks for showing us all the moving around. Those puffball heads (sorry, I forgot their name) are adorable. Hope all goes well with Cindy and her hew calf.
Thx
Love the red chicken
Hello Kevin & Sarah,I always enjoy seeing all the birds & animals.Have a nice week end.❤
I get 20 new layers next week and 25 meat birds the first week of August. I am excited but not like the extra work. But it will soon be ok as everyone gets to growing.
❤I Always LOVE SEEING ALL of the Animals!! Especially the Cows!! Loved it When You Kevin Said You THOUGHT the Turkeys WOULD BE EXCITED 😂 The Pigs are Sure Growing.. GOD BLESS AND Take Care!! FRUIT TREES ARE SURE GROWING! From MO too❤❤ ALL THE CLOUDS LATELY HAVE BEEN BEAUTIFUL BUT DIFFERENT!! Keep Looking UP.
Started my day with feeding the mini horses, dog and cat. Im house/animal sitting right now. Seems so appreciate to watch you doing chores also. Have a great weekend.
Love seeing your interactions with the poultry and animals. Always interesting and informative. Val C ❤️🙏🏻
I always love watching you two. We hav been getting rain off and on. Our corn is growing like a weed but very nice salt and pepper. Oh boy a new baby. Have a good evening. Lv and Prayers to all.
Dear Kevin and Sarah,
I watch almost all your videos. I love the content. I very much enjoy how well you work together.
I notice that your grass looks very green. Have you had plenty of rain this summer? Do you not have a drier summer? Or, is this normal for your area?
Lastly, your young fruit trees seem to be growing well.
Sincerely,
Larry Clarence Lewis
London, Ontario, Canada.
I really enjoyed your relaxed Waddlesville & cow tour!! You have things set up so nicely. Thanks for the video!! 💕
We both work away from home so we made the hard decision to get rid of our chickens. Still have some ducks because they just go to bed easily at night unlike our stupid chickens lol. I think when we get back in to chickens when we retire in a few years, we’re going to go with Bresse.
🌺Good morning you 2. I just love watching you in waddlesville, it’s just so fun to start my morning 😁, Everything looks so lush and healthy, Your such good stewards of all God has blessed you with!
Can’t wait to see the calf. The birds are looking good. The ducks are getting big. Have a great day and really enjoy the rain. Wish we would get some. We have 10% chance later this week which will amount to almost nothing for us. Thank you for your update on the birds and cows. ❤️
Good morning
the turkey were just wondering why you would prevent them from drowning them selves in the rain
I thought that one chicken was antisocial; but it is very smart.
Looks Great! Those clouds were awesome to watch, I was walking around the homestead that day as-well and was amazed at Gods work! It was really cool. We have a good SW view of GT Trail and it was just BEAUTIFUL! Enjoy. - Jeff
The animals are all so well taken care of. Best of luck with the new calf. Sure the chick's and turkeys will adjust
Those ducks are piggies! So much more aggressive than the other birds
I wish we could've seen when the chicks were hatching! Love that!
The chickens are so pretty and ducks are so very funny! The piggies are growing! I love the American Bresse chickens. So pretty. It does look like waves when you are under water looking up! Yes, I see the rain drops. Nice set up for the turkeys. lol they seem surprised! lol So pretty, they are going to love being in the grass. All the best!
I have often thought the atmosphere is similar to water. We are the bottom feeders, the plants are the seaweed, and the birds are like the fish swimming in the current. I think it is very similar.
Thanks for sharing with us, stay safe and keep up the great videos. All the animals are looking great. Fred.
A+ Update
My birds always dump over their grit dish. So now I just add grit to their food once a week or so and that been working well.
I love, love. love what you do. Thanks for sharing it with us.
All your animals are well taken care of.
My favorite birds in Waddlesville are the silkies and the Polish chickens!! Very smart for that one chicken to run to the empty trough before the other birds were released!! I also noticed that the geese were very territorial with their feed when some chickens tried to join in!! Those geese gave just one look and the chickens left!! It's been very hot pretty much everywhere in the U.S.!! Everything on your homestead looks great!!
Hello from South Mississippi. Wife and I love y'alls videos. Our next adventure is a yard full of bielefelders. Thanks for another great video. Stay Safe and GOD Bless
🙏🕊😎👍
I always say good morning and good night sweetly to my girls like you Sarah 🥰
Enjoyed your video, like getting the details on everyday chores on the farm. 💛 Look forward to a new calf!💚
I have had a hard time with a good hatch rate as well this year. I tried hatching out 18 chicks this year and only 5 hatched with one dying out of those 18. Others have had the same issue. We feed them but they are also free range. I am thinking it's not the rooster considering many of us are struggling. It's either the feed from the stores or something in the skies such as in the chem trails. Too many of us with the same problem to just be an individual bird.
