Sharpen up those #2 pencils because school is back in session. I'm teaching an online class on using GIMP to create scroll saw portrait patterns. This class is a bit more structured than the tutorials on Scroll Saw Goodies. Each lesson builds upon the previous until the end when you're a pattern making pro! Each lesson will include a video demonstration, a written out tutorial and additional material. A dedicated forum is available for you to ask questions and get some feedback on your progress. Adam Barraclough I used Camtasia for these videos. Nowadays, I use Screencast-O-Matic. Best of luck with your video series.
Hello I just discovered your channel, and website. I downloaded the inkscape no problem, and I have downloaded GIMP twice but can't get the icon to appear on my desktop. I can see it in my list of programs, but can't figure out how to get it to open.
+Tverga60 I'm not sure why that would be. You should be able to download it. Once downloaded, you click the file and the installer will proceed to install the software for you. Once installed, it should have a shortcut on your desktop and one in your Start menu. You can un-install and re-install and see if that helps. If you're still having trouble, I'd recommend jumping on their forums and see what they have to say.
+Scroll Saw Goodies I found the problem. I was not hitting the customize button to set everything up. Once I did that the system did everything it was supposed to.
