Roller nap too thick, your orange peel surface will have a 50% variation from the roller nap alone, use 3/8inch roller nap when going low coverage such as 2 gallon

Runnnnnnnnnnnnn from this product!!! I have been using Sherwin Williams Silicone 44 on commercial roofs and this stuff is pure garbage!! It cracks, it peels, the birds peck it, if you walk on it, it is very slippery and there isn't a roof that was done, that wasn't re-leaking just weeks after it was installed. Do NOT make the same mistake I did, Silicone is not a good roofing system (period).

I’ve got a project where the client is wanting any alternative to tear off and replacement of their poorly installed TPO roof. They want us to move really quickly and prefer we use silicone from local sherwin Williams to move faster. Did it not stick to tpo in your experience? Also did you perform adhesion test?

@@User-qv9kl It sticks to TPO very well and yes our GC did adhesion tests so no problems there. Where Silicone fails is that the underlying roof is "still rotting" so to speak, the seems will still come undone, there will still be puncture holes from birds / screws / nails etc. and any moisture in your roof will just "bubble" causing a break in the silicone. . . . Yes, Silicone works best over TPO but make sure if you decide to use it, that you are doing the seems THICK. Otherwise good luck.

After after 26 years and doing countless systems. Hot, torch down, cold app, hot rubber, PMMA, keel, EPDM, TPO, PVC and liguid applied tremco and so on. In 26 years silicone is the biggest grift on the market. Doesn’t last and can’t bond anything for repairs. I would say let the scabs have this one but I’m sick and tired of having to go and repair this bullshit. Silicone is garbage and not for roofing

Listen to this man. . . I manage close to 1.7 million sq of commercial roofing and we made the HUGE MISTAKE of using this garbage on most of our roofs and to this day we need the roofer to come out each and every month to make repairs. Sherwin Williams Silicone is GARBAGE.
