      Cheaper to leave it down there than remove it for scrap (remember there are no deep coal mines remaining in use). I do wonder if the mine would be more viable now the pound has crashed making imports more expensive. But we are also closing all the coal power stations so maybe not.

      It's still underground like all the Locomotives that was there. The only thing they brought out was the batteries that run them

      Everything in 99% of the mines was left under ground total joke I worked in a lot of the mine closers and nothing came out of them

    Should still be open, just shear vandalism .
