I understand them taking the gold/silver but for a people who considered themselves ( and they were) fearsome warriors. Had no issues with Slaughtering so many old feeble unarmed monks. It must've been like killing Children. I know it's impossible to put ourselves in the same mindset But I can't imagine i would've enjoyed or felt like a warrior after doing that .
