I heard about the exploding toilet story yesterday and literally thought to myself, "Damn, that sounds like something Jesse and Crendor would cover," and lo and behold, they have.
The Crendor motivation to go to the gym is the best one. I was just like "god damn, my body is starting to hurt more". Started doing daily cardio and stretching a few years ago, and I honestly feel better at 31 than I ever did in my 20s. Plus, I'm flexible enough to do the splits now which is neat. So much less back and joint pain and fewer flare ups.
@@ActiœnMan you know you don't have to jump into the air and do the splits as you hit the ground, right? It's not like you're competing in the women's floor routine at the Olympics. You can just get flexible and enjoy the lessened back pain.
@@ActiœnMan and I'm just saying that if you spend 10 minutes each day stretching, you definitely won't regret it. One of those simple things I just didn't do for the first decade+ of my adult life for no good reason.
Jesse i feel like you started your New Years's resolution early by taking a step back and not pushing yourself so hard and as long as you're keeping up with that, you're doin great :)
Wow buffdor started when he was 28 and now I just turned 28 last month and within 1 month I injured my shoulder scapula muscles when I was doing nothing that hurt to the point I couldn't really move for 2 days. Maybe it's time for my buffdor arc..
Weather Request for my hometown of Didsbury, Manchester, UK. Its a suburb of Manchester with a church (St. James Church) that was originally built in 1235, though the current building went through renovations and modifications in the 1600s and 1800s. For restaurants I recommend: The Didsbury Pub, Saints and Scholars The Khandoker (Indian) Zeugma (Turkish) Bella Vita (Italian) Neuve Tapas Bar (Spanish) Okitchen (Japanese/Korean)
Jesse should promote himself more here in Cox n Crendor just like Crendor. This podcast is the only way I get updates from the boys. I would like to not miss in things like those blankets.
Are the merch people still affiliated with the tour people? Maybe can lean on that relationship to see if the "where's my money" process can be smoothed. Or might be they stiffed the tour company, or the tour company is going under too and that's something else you need a new one of.
Weather for my hometown of New Prague, Minnesota. We have one of the last remaining Radioshacks, and an annual town Dohzinky festival where we close down a major state highway for parades, dance, and drink. Look up the Dohzinky Zero K Marathon but don’t look at the restaurants. Best food in town is Dominoes.
Weather request for Wandong, Victoria. Shoutout to Wandong, I've never been there but I drove past it recently and thought you'd find the name mildly amusing
Forgetting the best PAX, PAX Unplugged in Philly. Got your Warhammer, got all the boardgames, all the TTRPGs, CCGs, accessories, panels, and good times.
SPORTS: Hi Jesse, just wanted to remind you that back in episode 295 you were excited to find out that the 2024 Olympics will be featuring break dancing as an event and you said you would go and see it, just letting you know in case you forgot, also WEATHER: can I get the weather for HUDDERSFIELD UK, where I live it is the home of rugby league and also can we hear wappie British version 😁
Likely you need a lawyer to get your merch money because they need to argue for your place in line to get money from the bankrupt company. The tough part is the banks always get paid first even before people get money that was being withheld
Weather request for Niigata City, Niigata. I now live in a different city in Japan but I still frequent Benkei Pier Bandai which has the best fatty salmon sushi I have had in my life. Other notable food places are: Leather tramp kitchen Soup curry chutta 博多串焼きバッテンよかとぉ (Hakata kushiyaki batten yokato)
Imma keep going with my weather request: Lycksele in Lapland, Sweden. Take a look at our "fine" pizzerias, bakeries with extortionate prize tags, the world's pointiest O'Learys (probably), Sweden's most impressive -penis- ice pillar, and a summertime filled to the brim with rockabillies, horse jockeys and Evangelicals!
Nashvillian here I didn't see this Nashville New Year program, but I can tell you everyone who parties downtown are drunken tourists. Yes, people are moving here from larger cities driving up property values. Yes, a lot of music other than country happens here. I've played a few games with soundtracks recorded here.
Try Principality of Sealand for weather, a nation that spans the "land" of 43,060 ft² and it's exports are nobility titles. (though gaining such titles in such a way is illegal in many areas)
Weather request for Grande Prairie, Alberta Canada. Was the Violent Crime capital of Canada circa 2015 or so. And the coldest city on the planet once or twice a year. 😂
Weather request for springfiled oregon. Its not really an interesting place, often over shadowed by being right next to the much bigger eugene, but its my home and maybe you guys can find something special by looking st it through the lens of a stranger.
Always remember that these guys have more money than we could even imagine. They like to act like they are on our level but they can afford to eat literally every day.
Ever since that news story of the woman's Stanley cup still having ice in it the next day, after being inside her car that caught fire, theyve become a toilet-paper-for-covid level unironic meme
Weather suggestion: Brno, Czech Republic. It is the second biggest city in the country, and similarly to Florida the city is known for bizarre news stories recently there was March of Silly Walks through the centre. There is also a big black astronomical clock in the main square which is laughed at for its unorthodox shape. Brno also has its alligator, it is a "dragon" - stuffed crocodile that hangs at the old town hall.
I don't know if the fact of the day really counts since March 1st had been celebrated as New Years prior to the Julian Calendar. Like New Years was already celebrated. It was just on a different day. In many European countries the date of New Years wasn't changed to January 1st until after the Gregorian Calendar over 1.5 thousand years later. In the UK, March 25 (the supposed date Jesus was conceived) was New Years and it wasn't moved to January 1st until 1752.
From what i remember, there was a viral video of a ladies car after it was on fire, burned to a crisp, but the stanley cup inside was still good and had ice from the drink she was drinking. Idk know man, i cant afford to have hobbies that require me to buy shit constantly
Yeah, what the heck is up with people going shopping in their pajamas? I work for a big box retail hardware store and we're getting customers (mostly college students I think) going shopping while wearing footie pajamas!? I don't get it. Maybe I'm old...
The toilet explosion sounds like a problem with the air vent of the waste water. I don't know how you americans do it but over here every house needs to have a pipe that connects the waste water to fresh air usually on the roof of the building. If the air vent is missing or the the pipe is too small then pressure can build up and push waste water up the toilets. I'm not an expert on this but I know about it because I bought a house and I had to do repairs on that air vent.

I use to be able to put my legs behind my head. I wouldn't want to do the splits and slam my balls on the ground

That pizza place sounds like a mob boss needed a hobby to relax, so they run a pizza truck once a week.
My blanket is so special now. 😊
I can't believe Jesse bought me a blanket!

No-one, and I mean NO-ONE in Finland eats sushi for a breakfast. We start the day with a cigarette and coffee. Fish is hella pricey over here. :D

Weather request: Seal Rock, Oregon
It’s really just a wide part in highway 101, on a cliff over the Pacific Ocean.
"6 blocks away from the office" was probably too much information Jesse

the 12 grapes is something here too, Argentina, and put money in the shoe of the right foot

The Stanley cup is about a girl who got her car blown up and only her Stanley cup survive thats why it's popular now

Hearing that they got robbed by that company is so hard to hear :( They just laughed it off, but they lost a lot of money on that. That sux.
Weather request for Bastardo, Italy. My in laws live about 4km from there 😂
Bone's Silkeborg honestly looks so good, but it's also a bit expensive. The burger is $24.84 USD!
Weather Request: Speaking of Janus, a restaurant in my hometown Ljusdal Sweden is also named after that god!

Would ne really cool if you added the PWHL to your sports coverage. Its a new professional women's hockey league.

Oh i guess they might not be related xD
Is this pizza place new? Maybe they're trying to get people hooked. The free drinks I could see being consistent, though.
