Holy crap that run was amazing.
Not only did he 100% pivot from the strategy that he was using up until the Seraph fight for the better and methodically think through the play of each and every card on that last fight, this man manages to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat with one of the most jank second floors I’ve ever seen and a TRAIN STEWARD anchoring his top floor. • @ollie5419
      @ollie5419 4 роки тому +4

Formless Child is just a pretty bad card in general. 2 Ember is usually far to much to spend on returning a unit, not to mention it takes up a capacity slot and can only be played once per combat, and you might not draw it on the turn you want to play it, and it's not like you can permafrost it. Also as it doesn't reform but rather just returns the unit to your hand, you still have to spend ember to play the returned unit. And finally, it returns a random unit to your hand so you don't get to choose what to bring back.
(Also as the guy above me mentioned, I'm not sure if this is the case but morsels might be included in the dead unit pool, so it could possibly just bring back a morsel. Not too sure on that point though, but still I would say it's definitely the worse of all the ways to bring back a unit.)

My favorite part of this episode was in an early fight when NL said "I don't love that we didn't get to gorge much in this fight" as he was playing a card that meant he killed the boss a turn faster meaning that he missed another turn of gorging. A 100 damage Overgorger going into fight is like "did you draft him after fight 5?"
My favorite part of the entire series is NL realizing he can switch up his floor arrangement in the last fight. He got the perfect starting draw and I screamed HE'S DONE IT at the top of my lungs when he put his good units behind his tank.

I will admit there have been many days where I have felt I was watching scrambled eggs, unable to reach high tier pognacity. Today dashed those fears. A truly BRILLIANT run from Egg Dad today. Not undervaluing that which had previously been unfairly disregarded (IE: the quick upgrade, and Train Stewards being capable of doing literally anything.) Although the crown jewel was that Seraph fight, an unorthodox line of play that covered this decks largest weak points; The slow set up time, and the low health of our overgorging boi. Turning what could have been a depressing, slaughter of a deck that wasn't prepared for the Seraph into a convincing, well deserved, pog-inducing W.
Truly Pog, so beautiful I might shed a tear. Now go crush Cov-25, I know you can do it!

I like how you value quick a lot more this run than you have ever before, it is a very useful upgrade, also great thought out fights and less rushing, very nice to see.
NL the overgorger can gorge on the last turn of a battle so even if all other floors die, it can be worth letting them die instead of buffing them in order for him to gorge one more turn and letting him kill the boss (as long as he can kill the boss ofc).
On that 5th round you could have just sapped the boss and taken no dmg... sap is crazy good on weak multi-strike units, the 5x5dmg=25 boss would have been 2x5dmg=10 boss and he would have taken double the amount of dmg from your units.
OMG NL, TAKE UMBRA STONE, it is almost a must take with overgorger, now you will need to fish and hope for multi-strike which is risky and even if you do get it, it's still good to have both as it consumes anyway.
"You hit me fairly hard" it's 1 damage... *puts his champion on another floor*.. lol
"Our overgorger really needs more morsels" doesn't give him morsels for as least 2 turns even though you had some in hand and capacity but just didn't notice lol.

My gourd..... it's so pogged right now.... will the egg-father finally ascend to the heavens of post-Cov25 content?! Guess I'll have to tune in next time... Congratulations, my friend. You certainly deserve it. One more win, brother. You got this.

Bruh... what... in the world did I just watch.
The quickness on the multi strike overgorger keeping sweep units from murdering his champ with 3 health.
The fact he didn’t put multi strike on his life steal unit which would have actually caused big problems since he was only getting 1 life steal per turn on the seraph fight and would burn through 2 a turn if he had.
The fact that he realized capacity was his biggest priority and would just deal with energy by setting up floors one at a time.
The fact that he did the math multiple turns in advance on every single turn with the seraph fight.
The egg man’s wife says “love you” back and he just goes into hyper poggerdrive mode.

First off, glad they buffed Advanced Prototype, it needed the buff. Second off, I'm so proud of NL right now. He's pogging harder than it should be possible to pog. He's gonna beat Covenant 25 in no time flat.

This is just too confusing, the egg is too smart and the pogs are too high. Really well played final fight :)
