>Give me a melting card >What if we could bring units back from the dead? >Bring a defeat unit back to your hand with +40 Attack? Nah, skip. ???? This is exactly what you said you wanted NL
He always says he doesnt like Morsel Maker because of the 2 ember cost and Formless child is 2 cost. maybe thats why. and the unit would be random too, could get a morsel lol
Formless Child is just a pretty bad card in general. 2 Ember is usually far to much to spend on returning a unit, not to mention it takes up a capacity slot and can only be played once per combat, and you might not draw it on the turn you want to play it, and it's not like you can permafrost it. Also as it doesn't reform but rather just returns the unit to your hand, you still have to spend ember to play the returned unit. And finally, it returns a random unit to your hand so you don't get to choose what to bring back. (Also as the guy above me mentioned, I'm not sure if this is the case but morsels might be included in the dead unit pool, so it could possibly just bring back a morsel. Not too sure on that point though, but still I would say it's definitely the worse of all the ways to bring back a unit.)
Wow, NL has gotten so much better at this game. I'm so proud of my chicken-born son. Rare draft play was pretty funny though. I don't think he knows, but Formless Child is the only rare melting card that "brings units back." I guess he wanted remnant pact maybe?

My favorite part of this episode was in an early fight when NL said "I don't love that we didn't get to gorge much in this fight" as he was playing a card that meant he killed the boss a turn faster meaning that he missed another turn of gorging. A 100 damage Overgorger going into fight is like "did you draft him after fight 5?" My favorite part of the entire series is NL realizing he can switch up his floor arrangement in the last fight. He got the perfect starting draw and I screamed HE'S DONE IT at the top of my lungs when he put his good units behind his tank.
I will admit there have been many days where I have felt I was watching scrambled eggs, unable to reach high tier pognacity. Today dashed those fears. A truly BRILLIANT run from Egg Dad today. Not undervaluing that which had previously been unfairly disregarded (IE: the quick upgrade, and Train Stewards being capable of doing literally anything.) NL the overgorger can gorge on the last turn of a battle so even if all other floors die, it can be worth letting them die instead of buffing them in order for him to gorge one more turn and letting him kill the boss (as long as he can kill the boss ofc).
