- This is just a little update, letting you know what I’m up to now! A year hasn’t even passed since my diagnosis but I am finally starting to feel normal again!

I'm so glad I found your channel. We had a family friend diagnosed in with Breast Cancer in September 2008, 9 months later, she was gone.
Me, My siblings and all her nieces and nephews that I became friends with looked up to her like a mother. When she was diagnosed, it was a week after my 10th birthday. Too young to know what cancer was, or what it would do to someone. I was always told she was "poorly" and that "she'd be better soon" We then got a phone call to say she was dying. It took me Two Years to accept the fact that she's gone, and to be honest, nearly 10 years down the road, I still don't want to accept it.
Your channel has helped me learn about breast cancer, what it does to someone, how it's treated, how it affects daily life, work, relationships, etc. I'm so so happy you're doing so much better. You're able to get back into work again, and pretty soon life will be back to normal. Your new hair style looks great! It reminded me of how my Grandmothers would've looked in the late 1940's.
If you don't mind me asking, where in Ireland are you from? I have family all over that country Dublin, Limerick, Ennis. I stayed in Castlemaine County Kerry last year for a summer holiday and loved it. The rental house was huge, the area, and the residents were all very caring, and when they found out we were tourists, they were so keen to show us around the place, despite the many tourist help desks.
Recently, I was admitting into hospital with severe feelings of pain and pressure in my head, i was MISdiagnosed with a Ventricular Brain Dilation (I'm still unsure what that means), I had a CT scan which showed the dilation, but went back after pain was getting worse, and went through an MRI Scan which showed there was nothing. I never got told what was wrong, but this was all a couple weeks ago and I'm now okay. I had most of the symptoms of a brain issue, but i didn't have anything to worry about, it was just scary not feeling right and nobody being able to identify what it is.
Sorry this was so long, but over all, thank you for what you do.

Your videos have been such a comfort to me right now. I rewatch all your cancer videos almost every night and when I feel weak, like I can’t do this, you inspire me. I am trying to do the same on my own channel to spread awareness to at least my friends and family and that’s all thanks to you showing me I COULD do it. Thank you Dee. Thank you for doing this...thank you for showing me I can make it through the next 6-8 months. Thank you for your strength even when I’m sure you felt weak. I'm so glad you are doing well. I was diagnosed with a rare cervical cancer in January 2019. I can't imagine going back to work after this is over because I'm feeling so bad and sad. It gives me so much hope that one day my life will come back to me. I start treatment this Tuesday and your videos have made me feel better. Thank you so much for this!

Hannah Cwp I didn't have symptoms. They found a fibroid and decided to do a hysterectomy. When they sent everything off for biopsies my cervix came back with cancer. It is a kind that isn't detected with a pap smear so by the grace of God I was saved.

I am on chemo 3...on a similar path as you had so all of your videos are super helpful. It is so great to see you getting back to ‘normal’ although normal doesn’t really exist anymore once u have been through this. Can you do a video on diet and what you ate, comfort foods, energy foods.

Dee, I just wanted to say thank you! I've watched all of Your Videos and you've totally inspired me to be strong, not to be scared and to fight! I got diagnosed with breast cancer on January of this year while I was 32 weeks pregnant. Was in total shock! Couldn't believe it that this is happening to me and especially I was pregnant. Now my baby boy is 7 weeks old and I am just extremely scared but watching your videos is extremely helpful, it helped me not to be scared, that I can do this, that I got this and if you did it I can do it too! I am going to have my surgery next week Monday April 8th, a lumpectomy and then chemotherapy right after. Thank you so much for your videos. You have such a beautiful family ❤️❤️❤️ take care.

Thanks for doing these video's and I'm glad to see you're doing better. I just had my first round of Chemo 2 weeks ago and going for round 2 next week. I hope I do better with the side affects next time. I had expectations of taking only a few days of from work after each treatment but keeping my job. Realizing now that just isn't going to happen. How depressing.

Hello Dee, I find you very inspiring!!! What tests did they do to say they can find no active cancer now? I’ve had chemotherapy and radiotherapy last 29/05/20 last week on a phased return to work from home started work. Just wanted to get a time frame really. Xxx. How did you feel when they said they couldn’t find any active cancer did you feel abit less worried if that makes sense. Xx
Tracy Knee well to be honest you are just told you have no active cancer once radiotherapy finishes. We don’t get regular check ups here. Mine have been a bit more regular than others (I get a CT once a year) and then I go for a mammogram on the non cancer side once a year also which is the biggest waste of time. No is the answer x sorry, you don’t feel better. At least I didn’t. The worry goes away slowly. But you never feel magically cured.

Hey love! Just coming across your channel and I was wondering had you ever gotten tested for the BRCA1 Gene Mutation or "Triple-Negtative Breast Cancer"? I ask because there is a particular section in my family where many of the women with the gene mutation has been diagnosed with Triple-Negative Cancer in their breast, ovaries, and/or cervix. It's usually more aggressive than the typical forms of the cancer and it happens at Younger Ages. If you haven't, I urge you to have your doctors test you for the mutation and if you are positive, have them to perform not only a double mastectomy, but a hysterectomy as well for preventative measures because you're very likely to have another bout of cancer or a higher chance of it spreading. Also a 50/50 risk of it passing down to your children. I have a cousin that passed from this type of breast cancer and her daughter dealing with it right now at the tender age of 28, so I hope I can help prevent it in other people! AI is for aromatase inhibitor it is given to Brest cancer patients who are er + to help reduce/get rid of oestrogen, hope that helps to clarify?
