fun fact: eris is the reason pluto's been dwarfed! scientist when they discovered eris decided it should be a dwarf planet, but then they noticed eris and pluto are very similar in size, so it was either both are planets or neither, i believe that's also when they made the 3 rules of being a planet

I think eris was just a prequel to that. I watched the explanation on cgp grey that they were actually fine to leave pluto as if, but since they find similarly sized object around pluto orbit just like Ceres was, they had no choice to recategorize it.

I love how this video shows Pluto’s insecurities and the fact that he still holds a grudge against the planets for making him a dwarf planet.
Counting their time the planets basically said he was a dwarf planet 10 minutes ago
Technically he said in one episode he was getting bullied alot for being a dwarve planet or something so he probably wants to get treated better by becoming a planet again

I know why Pluto acted out at the end about why dwarf planets should be treated the same as planets. Since Pluto was demoted in 2006 the planets must’ve bullied the hell out of him. Probably calling him names and saying hurtful stuff. Think of it as Pluto wanting revenge against his bullies. So maybe during a future episode everyone would want to have settled differences.

Damn, Pluto did a 180 here. He doesn't realize that the others have never experienced what he went through because they were never designated as planets to begin with, nor had much encounters with them.
I feel bad for the others. You can tell Eris especially was lowkey hurt over Pluto's comments 😢
Actually Eris was designated a planet for a few months. Said designation is actually what caused Plutos demotion and the creation of the dwarf planet category. They thought they were going to find a bunch of Eris's and they just never did.
Fun fact about the dwarf planets: all of them, save Ceres, have their own moons. Scientists used the Hubble Space Telescope to study Pluto and found four more small moons besides Charon. The other four are Styx, Nix, Kerberos, and Hydra.
Eris has a small moon of its own named Dysnomia.
Haumea, has two satellites, Hi'iaka and Namaka.
And Makemake has one provisional moon, S/2015 (136472) 1, nicknamed MK 2.

Is it just me or is the animation getting better every video? I just noticed the eyes have a bit of squash and stretch with moving/changing instead of just being still for the most part. The asteroids are all different and more detailed, the lighting/shading has improved, the backgrounds, you can even see some of the planets/sun in the distance. The tweening too, props to you guys!
Edit: I keep adding more stuff to this because I noticed more and more small details here and there, really good job guys!

Can I just state how amazing Solarballs is at developing characters' personalities and arcs?
The other dwarf planets accepted Pluto since they know that he is a dwarf planet like them and wanted to bond like dwarf planets and not care about the planets, whereas he wanted them to all go and confront the planets and make their roles higher.
And I noticed that the solar system was placed directly behind Pluto, which indicates that Pluto is still holding onto his past.
And Pluto looked so adorable when he was blushing when they told him that they don't know who Venus is. ❤

The way “Solarballs” has the potential to be an actual TV series for cable/streaming services! SPACE IS LARGE we got all types of exoplanets from Kepler & TRSS. I seriously love the fact that it’s educational, funny and entertaining with small story arcs. I’m in love with how great the animation is as well! 😂🔥Especially that one episode where Earth’s Moon ran from Callisto & iO lol bro was GONE!!!

This was a really fun episode! Pluto tried starting a revolution but failed... I hope that in the future we see him finally accept his status as a dwarf planet.

It was so Amazing, Really Fun, and Well-sceptical for the Dwarf Planets..
God, I just LOVE THEIR INTERACTIONS IN THIS EPISODE! THEY'RE ACTING LIKE A REALLY CLOSE FRIENDS PLAYING GAMES OR FAMILY MEMBERS IN GENERAL!! Even though- well.. they just met!
Really love for each characters playing their roles in their Fantasy story, LIKE BRO- I DIDN'T EXPECT VENUS JUST CAME OUT OF THE DOOR LIKE THAT NOR EVEN THE SUN JUST SITTING ON THE THRONE... i was so suprised i jumped off-
But the thing is.. Definitely love Pluto's "Backstory" in the Fantasy Story as it was certainly reflecting to his Character, Eris was pretty fun to watch on this Episode aswell!!, It's great to see her Character playing more active while playing her role!!! Haumea as a some sort of Wizard always Comfort me, i can't seem to looked for a Word to say! ^^
Now, MakeMake gotta be a real Great Narrator during the story played, and by the seem of his voice, he seems very exciting and enthusiastic to see his Friends playing along on this game. His Voice at the beginning already had me guessing it was MakeMake's.!
Pluto However, I already expect him to also not really adapting into this whole Game, but damnnn... I Didn't expect the ending of this episode.
The Argument just really heartbreaking to see. It's even more terrible to hear Pluto still wasn't accepting himself wholely or more rather... the situations around him a little.
I guess this sort of also be a remark of His Character, actually i'm kind of glad In the previous, Pluto didn't just Understand Completely after what they told to him that it's okay to be a dwarf Planet and not a Planet anymore despite we all almost thought he fully accepted himself this time.
But He just can't... knowing how much far and much Experiences he's going through the entire time before he met the Friends who truely cares about him, understands him, and accepting him for who he is..
Just imagine this, Pluto was so used being down His status compared to the other planets Just because he's now.. well Not a Planet.
At first he always Views the Planets as some characters that are just with him, mainly cause he was also a Planet just like them.
But now, Now that he heard and found out the discussions over the Truth of Pluto not being a Planet anymore left him speechless and is in Identity questioning.
It's even worse because at first, he thinks he's all alone. No one is just like him and that's the truth because the Other Planets in the solar system didn't wanna hang out with him just because he's now different from them. He truely hates Being Called Weird and Small.
Which might also be the reason why, but also pretty reasonable that Pluto finally had some *Great conflicts with the Planets.*
But this was also why in the game, Pluto really wants to have the Attentions and Spotlight he got Because he used to not achieving them from the past.
But I also Understand Eris's anger towards Pluto for a while now.. I guess she really was thinking that Pluto finally accepting himself as a dwarf Planet just like the Others, But then truely, It's also sort of hard For Pluto, because sometimes... Accepting yourself might took time, even if it just seems like you accept yourself already does not entirely mean you already feeling Comfortable at being you.
I felt bad for Pluto, but the dwarf planets must have been kind of confused at Pluto for a while.
I just hope this new friendship we're never to tear apart.. we really don't want to see another broken Friendship as in the Lore of Solarballs!
Then of course, I clearly waited more For the Next Adventure story of them, will the story continues? We'll wait!!

Pluto is a spitting reflection of Earth and Titan. His meltdown was the equivalent of Earth’s meltdown at Titan, and Titan’s ambition to rally up against the planets.
I've been waiting so long for this episode to come, I hope it will be a masterpiece!

The sun being the enemy made me smile but when Pluto left in a huff that made me sad also we couldn't see Mercury and Mars and Earth and Moon and the Gas Giants so I'm kinda sad about that too otherwise good job!

THATS WHAT WAS MAKING ME FEEL UNEASE ABOUT THE EPISODE!! I was enjoying it ok but Pluto kept interrupting. It was kinda annoying cause I was trying to enjoy the game. And then what made me dislike him was the fact that he was sorta trying to ruin the game with realism by saying: “dwarf planets can’t take on the sun” as true as that is, it’s still a game, nobody wants realism in the game. Now true we still gotta be logical cause how the heck ( example) could grass kill a person by…. Beatboxing or singing ? How does that make any scenes lol. But that’s where you would propose a reason. Maybe the story or game take place in a different dimension where logics are entirely different? But yeah, I kinda am a little on edge for Pluto in this episode as of now.

The planets needing to accept "race" equality and live accordingly... A dwarf planet (Pluto) needing to find self-acceptance for what he TRULY is... Some of the moons needing to not be haughty, vengeful and belligerent (eager for fighting and war)... Sheesh! Awesome way of bringing real life (world) problems into a fun animated series! Not only is this series educational for astronomy purposes, it also teaches people that treating others unequal brings forth sadness and hate (and thus, everyone should be treated with respect) and it teaches people how to deal with what one is and that that's sufficient. *So good!*
I also love how both possibilities are shown here as well: the planets have mistreated the moons to a smaller or greater amount and this, of course, is degenerating and humiliating. The moons aiming to get that right is understandable (just their means are pretty unjustified). *Real problems* should be recognized, acknowledged and dealt with.
On the other hand, Pluto feels insecure and probably mistreatened as well. But he himself made his position a problem. People in the real world, too, often view facts as problems or enlarge irrelevant, small problems into unnecessarily big problems for no reason instead of dealing with their own inner struggles that created the idea of a certain thing being a (big) problem in the first place. *Fake problems* are in one own's head and can only be solved by that person themselves if they want to find true peace. Therefore, a lesson to be learned, is that one shouldn't make problems where there are none.
I really like the parallel between Moons and Dwarf planets and how they feel in the system, moons are tired of getting overshadowed but decided to take action in the wrong way, meanwhile Dwarf planets are just vibing and are fine where they are, Pluto is desesperated to be a planet again but he's acting more like a moon

After he was demoted into a dwarf planet, he felt sad and thought it was unfair because he used to be called a planet. To make matters worse, the planets started to make fun of him by it, to the point they bullied him. He was probably friends with most of the planets before, but now, since he was no longer a planet, he lost them all (not sure if Neptune counts here), this is why he hasn't accepted this dwarf planet status. All of this made him believe "a planet is a superior celestial body that gets everything they want. It can beat every lower celestial body and will get all the attention it wants, unlike them." Because of this, he started to have insecurities and fear the planets to the point imagining one made him nervous, it also made him believe every dwarf planet got treated the same by the planets and wanted respect too.
He decided to look for dwarf planets because he was desperate on getting attention and have friends. However, since he believed every dwarf planet got treated the same, he thought other dwarf planets would be mad at the planets and look for a way to fight them back, so he was not expecting that the celestial bodies he met would act like that.
He lied to finally have the relief on getting attention for the first time in Earth years, but after Eris revealed the lie, his insecurities got back and was scared that now even dwarf planets would hate him. Even if they didn't and treated him nicely, Pluto was frustrated because the dwarf planets he met were nothing like he thought, but despite this, he ended up liking them. He decided to get along with them to not only make friends, but to try to convince the dwarf planets that planets were superior (according to him) and try to fight them. After Pluto thought of that last part a lot, he actually thought one day he would need to fight "superior" categories to get his status back and get treated well by everyone, and since he didn't know when it would be, it made him anxious.
*(Read the paragraph above to understand this one)* Since he didn't really want to play the game, he started complaining at the start of it as a sign that he wanted to do a different thing. I feel like Pluto wanted something like a training to be prepared for that day he thought would be real, this is why he was taking the game too seriously afterwards (the complaining at the start isn't part of this tho). It frustrated him that no one could understand him about what he meant with "What if it's not a game?".
Something I also want to talk about is about Pluto wanting to win by making it all by himself. When he got bullied by the planets, his self-esteem got very low and that's why he got desperate on getting attention and have friends. But his lack of friendship or in general, talking with others (except for Charon) made him not know when to act a way and when to not do so and this, mixed with his low self-esteem, was not good. Since he was taking the game seriously as a training for "that day" (read the paragraph above the one above to understand), the fact that he made a good move during the battle made him really happy, but that made his self-esteem unstable to the point he suddenly got a big ego and wanted to do everything by himself to impress others. But this wasn't the only reason he acted like that, it was also because he hasn't received attention for a long time, and this was his opportunity. After that, Pluto knew that what he did was wrong, but like he said, the planets haven't let him be himself.
Another point I want to talk about is that he actually wants to be friends with the dwarf planets he met, the reason why he doesn't fit with them is because no one seems to care about what the planets have done to him. He wants to be listened to about his problems and thought dwarf planets would do it, but he only got negative responses, which stressed him. This is also a bit Pluto's part for not telling it the right way and instead, trying to let them out inside a game. Still, the others should acknowledge that's the reason why he acts the way he does.
After he thought he would finally meet celestial bodies like him, nothing worked. Pluto isn't capable of socializing anymore because of what planets did to him and can't accept the status he is now, it's pretty sad, but Pluto is a good dwarf planet, I hope he solves his problems soon.
(Btw I love the way he said his "backstory" at 1:50 , it fits so well)
