    Glad you're back man! After 2 attempts myself at the OSCP, I'm also going through these PG Practice machines. I feel like they should have made these machines mandatory during the training. I would also say that there are PG Practice machines not on this list you are showing that absolutely should be. I feel like Offsec knows about this list, so really any of the 154 PG Practice machines "could" be incredibly useful to go through.

    Hey man, just wanted to say I really appreciate your videos, I've been trying to figure out my own methodology but I learn hands on, so being able to see how someone else does things really helped me visualize the process. One request I would have for additional content, could you please make a video about your note taking setup? I would love to see the details behind how you have your obsidian setup and exactly how you get your notes as you go through these videos. I gathered a little bit of it but some of it was fast and I couldn't grasp exactly what you were doing. Keep up the great content.

    Just curious, while you are writing your notes, you are like storytelling there as well. Things like "while sending the request, the response we get is quite interesting". Do we need that level of detailed note taking approach for the OSCP exam? or this is just something you would like to do? I am curious because I will take the OSCP exam soon and wondering if "like a narrative" approach note taking is good/necessary approach? Thank you for the video, I really liked it!

    • @ByteSizedSec
      @ByteSizedSec  3 місяці тому +1

      Great question! I like the narrative because I often come back to my notes in later points in time. Say I used a technique somewhere, but I can't really remember the details, or started a pro lab in january, but continue in april, it will be hard for me to fully remember context and get back into things. This is where my narratives help me out a lot. We remember stories much better than just blank statements.
      So i got used to this.
      To answer your question, do you need this for oscp or for your notes anyway? No. Does it help immensely? Yes!
      Do what works best for you! And go rock that exam! 💪🏽

    Hey! I wanted to know if run autorecon in exam, do we say we ran it or just paste the code it ran (like nmap) on the report?

    • @ByteSizedSec
      @ByteSizedSec  2 місяці тому +1

      you can say you ran it, or go into manual commands, which is also output from autorecon and then run that singular command again to get the output you will then use as evidence.

    Could you make a video setting up just the notes itself? I use obsidian too and I'm thinking of setting up a template that looks just like this. But the way you did this was way too easy and had everything I keep looking for. Possibly hosted on github?

    • @ByteSizedSec

      @@ByteSizedSec Awesome! I set up some templates, but the way you were so easily able to do everything and already had the folders set up, I want to create a script that will allow me to open the folders with everything I need inside so I can run through what I did and capture everything. I just gotta get to that part of my journey I guess.
