PRESENTATION OBJECTIVES:
• Summarize the malaria lifecycle and explain why the liver stage is an ideal point to intervene.
• Describe the mechanism of action of the two most clinically advanced, WHO-approved vaccines.
• Identify two strategies for next-generation vaccines that could lead to higher rates of protection than the current WHO-approved vaccines.
