Wow I am going to try this paint mix that is such a great idea especially for custom colours you may want. I so love the glue texture created and finished off with the gilded paint
It makes me so happy to hear this inspired you to give it a try! I would LOVE to see the end result if you end up sharing it on Instagram! You can tag me and use #bybridgetdiy , if you'd like!🥰🥰
its really important for people like me to diy's that you measure
Certain projects have specific measurements that work every time, but this one is a bit more like making bread dough: you just have to look for the end consistency, rather than following strict measurements (especially when you're adding paint to tweak the color). Most of my videos consist of projects I'm trying for the first time, so it's not an exact science, even for me😊 I'm so glad you're here for the journey, though!🥰
Thank you for sharing
😍
Glad you enjoyed it! Good luck on your DIY adventures!🥰
very nice tutorial. thks. questions: 1, will the glue come off ? 2. what kind of sealer do you recommend to make the tray waterproof?
Great questions! With the type of glue I used, I've never had it come off at all. I liked the matte appearance of my dishes, so I left them unsealed. I haven't tried sealing anything like this, so I don't feel confident giving a recommendation. But I encourage you to experiment and see what works best for you!😊
This was so helpful, thank you; but what glue did you use?
I'm so glad it was helpful! Links to the materials are listed in the description🥰
Is it waterproof
The version I made is unsealed, so it is not.
Hi, lovely work. Do you use any type of sealant on the trinkets?
I didn't seal these particular trinket dishes with anything because they get very light use. But you certainly could seal them using a spray or brush-on sealant!
Are these trays strong? I tried making it with a more watery mixture and it broke immediately
Mine have held up great! I obviously would be gentle with them and not drop them on a hard surface, but I haven't had any issues when using them to display trinkets.😊
When dry my white cement crack what to do
So sorry to hear that! I haven't experienced it myself, so I'm not positive what the best course of action is, but I'd recommend experimenting with your water/paint/cement ratios. There may have been too much of one of those ingredients to properly bond. Best of luck!

What brand of paint was used?😊
Hi, Yazmin! I used the Behr Marquee paints for this project! I love getting $5 paint samples from Home Depot so I can play around with custom colors. Happy making!🥰
What paint is it any paint or special
I just used interior house pain, but I think any paint would work just fine!:)
What glue
The glue I used is linked in the description☺️
My trays tend to bow as they dry (the edges curl up so the tray is curved. Any idea as to why?
That's odd; I've never had that happen! But you could perhaps combat it by laying a piece of parchment paper on top of it and then placing a heavy book over it while it dries to force it to stay flat. I imagine it would take longer to dry, but I don't *think* the parchment paper would stick🤞
@@ByBridgetDIY not a bad idea, thank you!
Good luck! I'd love to see how your finished trays come out! If you'd like, feel free to tag me on Instagram @bybridgetdiy and/or use the hashtag #bybridgetdiy 😊
Dear can u tell me how to paste it on a table
I've never tried applying concrete directly to a table, so I'm not certain of the process, but I think it could be very beautiful! Good luck!😊
Thanks alot❤️
What kind of paint is this?
This is a sample of Behr paint from the hardware store! You can choose whatever color you want, but remember that the trinket dish will turn out much lighter than the color of the wet paint. Good luck!😊
Wow, I actually tried the glue on the mold and poured in the cement......let's say that mold cannot be used again!!
Experimenting with DIYs is always such an adventure, isn't it?😂 I hope you have better luck adding the glue to the finished piece afterwards next time!🤞😊
thank you so much for the tutorial!
I'll tag you on Instagram when i make one💝
I'm so glad you loved it! I can't wait to see your creation!🥰
