unrelated to this video, but great to see Deagan Fairclough win BRDC Young Driver of the Year award! (i think he's the person whose grandmother you said you knew in a previous video?)

@es14hellothere Indeed, yes. His grandmother, who is only about 60, has been jumping up and down with excitement over it! I might get an invite to his Aston Martin F1 test drive!

It was a fairly good series but I just don’t think it what Star Wars fans rlly want, I’m glad ashoka s2 and andor s2 are on their way, they are projects that truly excite fans. I’d put skeleton crew in the same group as the acolyte

@@baz._3972 The problem is that they keep experimenting with different ‘Star Wars’, instead of simply sticking with the basics. They don’t need to reinvent Star Wars.
I think that The Acolyte was terrible. Clumsy stupid bad Jedi. With those sisters seemingly able to jump from good side, to bad side, to good side, at will.
Andor was very good, but not very Star Warsy. It was just a very good SciFi series. I’m looking forward to the second series.
Not too keen on Ashoka. It was more ‘Rebels’ season 4.

@ I think the Ashoka series does rlly well at actually building on the lore already shown in other series instead of just inventing stuff left right and centre and the characters in the show actually have depth which makes us care about the plot

@@baz._3972 Two problems for me there though; firstly, the series is called ‘Ahsoka’, not ‘Rebels’.
Secondly, they should be attracting and building a new audience all the time. They won’t do that by having numerous characters in Ahsoka be from another series, that everyone is supposed to know about already for some reason; and a commonly unknown animated one too. Further development of ‘Rebels’ should have been in another animated series. They shouldn’t be trying to please ‘Rebels’ fans in a mainstream live action series that’s meant to attract the masses.
If it was me, I would not have done all these separate shows, which look like desperate grasping at straws to catch an audience. Instead I would have simply had ‘Star Wars’ Series 1. Ten episodes. Followed by ‘Star Wars’ Series 2. Ten episodes. Etc… following one timeline. Post Jedi (the first Jedi, not the last one!). Keep it simple. Please the original Star Wars generation, like myself, but also please causal viewers. All this jumping between timelines is too much for the casual Sci-fi fan. As Kuiil would say.. “I have spoken”.

@@BattalionRustASMR can completely understand this view point, whenever I’m trying to get mates into Star Wars listing all the things they need to watch to understand the rest is insane, but an Ashoka series would have to tie into the clone wars, rebels etc as it’s the only screen time she gets

@ Yes, for the knowledgable fan, a link to Clone Wars or Rebels would be ok, but not necessarily needed. And a casual fan would just like to see this new to them character doing Star Warsy stuff. In fact, that’s what I would have preferred ‘Ahsoka’ to be about too. Even though I know the lore and all the canon, I would still enjoy a completely new story with just Ahsoka in it, more so. And newbies would love that too.
