@ a better official as an 11 year offical will respectfully disagree with the ruling on play 1 and play 3. In play 1 it is a thrown in and there is no ream control and the offensive player never had all 3 points in the front court after the thrown in In the third play if the defensive player tipped the back which caused it to gp to the back court thsys not back court .
the first one is confusing. what do you mean by the first foot down being the pivot foot while the player is in motion in the act of catching the ball? after the catch the player has the option/choice to make either foot the pivot. hard to picture what you are describing without some visual aid.
Player A is in the front court player B is passed the ball as as they are stepping across the half court line. Player B’s front foot is clearly on the floor in the front court before the pass touches the players hands. Does having one foot constitute being established in the front court. I had a coach said both feet must be in the front court or it is a violation.
I am confused on question 3. A1 inbounds from back court to A2 in front court. B1 tips the ball on the pass, A2 jumps, catches the ball and lands in the back court. The ball never gains team/player control in front court (one of 3 elements needed). Why is the ruling a back court violation?
When ball is touched by b, throwin ends and therefore exception ends for jumping and catching in air. When player catches, status is front court then lands in backcourt. Violation.
If a team is being the ball from the backcourt and A1 passes to A2 who catches the ball with one foot in the front court and one foot in the back court with the ball coming from the back court, you say that to have front court status you need to have both feet and the ball in the front court. If A2 lifts the backcourt foot and puts it back down in the backcourt having never put that foot down in the front court not having both feet in the front court that would not be a violation but rule 4.4.1 in IAABO rule book says it would be? And if you only caught the pass with one foot on either side of the division line and a violation called before the player had a chance to lift a foot or dribble would that be a wrong call as not both feet made it into front court first?
what are your thoughts about changing the black and white stripes that referees wear? the mere presence of the zebra stripes creates agitation. i propose a "softer" shirt that both commands administrative authority and partner is administrating of the game.
I love the NCAA-W shirts. I doubt NFHS will make a change. States adopt what they want. Pushing for a change at the state/local level is your best approach to getting change.
f you have a question about a play, drop a timestamp (MM:SS format) in with it. Makes it MUCH easier for me to respond!

Comprehensive. Makes backcourts easy to recognize
your content is excellent. i think to improve the content it would be helpful to have a video to support the topic being discussed. thx
Hi Mark! Thanks and yes. Working on ways to bring in rules/case references into the show.

At the captains meeting does the spokesman for the team have to be a starter ?
Hi Bryant! No. There is no restriction to that effect.

2 feet and the ball. This is the easiest way to make a ruling on backcourt violations.. .

Hi Brian!
When A2 catches the ball what is their status? They jumped from the frontcourt.
