What retinol formulation do you use? Otherwise, you would have to apply it after the Axis Y Glow Serum. Always layer products from the thinnest to the thickest texture for optimal product absorption. But the rest looks okay.

Hey! :) I recommend using either your Rice Toner or Snail Essence. Still, if you want to use both, use the toner before applying your essence. COSRX, NIOD, Good Molecules, Biore, Nivea or Isntree could be great sunscreen options. Isntree Hyaluronic Acid sunscreen leaves the skin pretty glowy afterwards. Your PM routine looks good. Yes, you can use the Snail Essence before applying your Retinol or Retinoid to the skin. After that, you may not feel the need to use a moisturizer, in that case, it's fine to skip it.

Hmm, it does not layer well, but you should use the dark spot correcting serum first. Personally, I would suggest using them on different days, ideally in your evening skincare routine. So, just cleanse the face, pat it dry, then apply either the Axis-Y Glow Serum or the retinol.

If you have a water-based vitamin C product or serum, then the morning routine is okay. However, for evening use, apply the Axis Y Glow Serum after the Snail Mucin since it contains heavier ingredients.

You have already listed them in the correct order. You can also use one serum in the morning (AM) and the other one in the evening (PM). Remember, you do not need to use sunscreen at night.

AM: Clean face with a gentle cleanser suitable for your skin type. Pat dry. Apply Dark Spot Correcting Glow Serum or Vitamin C serum. Apply sunscreen if exposed to the sun. PM: Clean face with a gentle cleanser suitable for your skin type. Pat dry. Apply Differin gel. You can now leave it as it is or follow with the snail mucin. If you use the snail mucin, give the Differin gel a few minutes to fully absorb into the skin. Regarding the frequency of Differin gel, you can technically use it daily. However, for some, it works best when first used every other day and then, after a few weeks, increasing the frequency to daily usage.

Hey! :) Yes, the routine should help to lighten your dark spots caused by the sun or previous acne. However, I recommend seeing a doctor to get something like Hydroquinone for your melasma. Ask your doctor how you should use it as it's a very potent treatment, which is often being used to lighten melasma.
I used this serum in morning and after I used sunscreen then almost 2 hours later I saw that I got so many bumps all over my face. Did it react for sunlight? Cz I use it at night and never happened that
Are you sure that it's the serum, or is the sunscreen causing your skin to break out? I mean, it could be that the combination may just be too rich for you and then clog your pores. Alternatively, yes, the combination may react with your skin. However, it could also be your sunscreen.
What's the issue with applying the essence / serum / other products on top of your eyelids ? I've always been putting them to avoid dry skin around my eye area & also to get rid of the dark circles/ spots there & it doesn't cause any irritation if I'm careful about not getting them inside the eye

Generally, if you use tretinoin, you don't need to use other products. But to answer your question, I would layer the serum before the cream, allowing maybe a couple of minutes in between for absorption. My suggestion is: Morning routine: Clean your face. Pat it dry. Apply sunscreen (if you're exposed to the sun). Evening routine: Clean your face. Pat it dry. Wait a few minutes. Apply tretinoin. That's it!

The order of application is okay, although I think that's quite a lot. I also wonder if your skin is very dry, or if there's a specific reason for using these heavy creams. @@amyfernandes1014 I would recommend skipping the CeraVe Moisturizing Cream entirely, especially if you are using a hydrating sunscreen, as most sunscreens are hydrating. In the evening, it may still be excessive, unless your skin is extremely dry, to the point of flaking. I suggest initially going without it for some time, and if necessary, you can later incorporate this heavy cream into your routine.

Yeah, you might want to consider discontinuing the Anua products. If the issue persists, try eliminating another product until you identify what's triggering your CC.

Almost everything you see online with quick results isn't real - it's manipulated in some way. Therefore, be consistent with your treatment. However, if irritation occurs, don't hesitate to adjust your routine. Feel free to ask me again after several days or weeks. Just post your questions underneath my videos.

Hey! :) Overall your routine looks good. Still, what are your skin concerns? You can add TO Argireline Solution after cleansing in your AM routine. Use your AHA + BHA toner in the PM, before or after your Rice Toner, and your HA moisturizer can be used after the Effaclar DUO (if you still feel the need).
@MelissaVanDijkOfficial Thank you for your reply. I'm sorry about the super long reply x I used to have very dry skin and damaged barrier. I used Cicaplast Baume B5 a lot, which helped with that, and now it's a lot better. Like dry to combination, i would say. I abused Cicaplast, lol I get random pimples a lot, sometimes clusters, especially after shaving/laser(after laser and shaving i only use Cicaplast). I also get single small or cyst like ones that leave scars. I have uneven skintone in places and can get dullness. Every day, my skin does something different. I just can't seem to get it right with products. It's like my skin changes every week. Sometimes, it looks okay, and other times, it's worse. I just started my PM routine last night. I woke and have tiny random red pimples with head everywhere and other pimples i have seem more visible. Is it normal with effaclar duo at first? I am still waiting for my spot corrector to arrive, then start my AM routine with it. While waiting for it, I'll use my PM routine in the morning or my first aid repair cream. Is it ok to use the dark spot corrector even if i don't have oily skin? Also, should i apply products i use straight after cleansing to damp skin? Does it matter? Im not too fussed with the glow recipe products, but i just dont want it sitting there because i hate wasting products. I will use them as you recommended until they run out as they are small, not full-size After i run out of the HA moisturizer, can i use my ultra repair cream after the effaclar duo if needed? With your skin type and concerns, it's important to be gentle with your skin and avoid overusing products. What skincare products did you try in the past to treat your acne? Regarding your PM routine, it's normal to experience some purging or initial breakouts when starting a new acne treatment like Effaclar Duo. This should subside after a few weeks of consistent use. As for the dark spot corrector, it can be used regardless of skin type. And applying products to damp/dry skin does not matter. Your skin absorbs water while you're washing your face making it damp, just make sure to pat off the excess water (water drops) from the skin surface. Do not apply your products to wet skin. As for the Glow Recipe products, it's understandable that you don't want to waste them. Using them as recommended until they run out is a good idea. Sounds like a pretty intense routine, and I'm not sure if it might cause skin sensitivities over time. While the combination is possible, personally, I would not recommend using all these treatments on the same day, especially not if used too frequently.
Yes, the reason for this is that sunscreens contain hydrating ingredients, and if you choose the right formulations for your needs, you can simply skip it. However, let's say you have a very drying matte sunscreen and you feel the need for extra hydration. In that case, you can certainly use it, but it would be best to choose another sunscreen that fits your needs.

Hi, I use a niacinamide toner that is from a brand called dot&key... Which I think i should probably stop cuz my skin has become sensitive due to the overdose of niacinamide from both the toner and the axis-y dark spot serum...for the morning routine...after that toner I use the Axis-y dark spot treatment serum and then I use cosrx snail 92 cream which as i mentioned before has a thicker consistency than the axis-y..... after that i use a moisturizer from the company called quench that has matcha in it and after that I actually use two types of sunscreen...which is a tinted one and a sunstick... For the night routine it is the same but instead of the quench moisturizer I use a night cream that has retinol and ceramide in it and then i use only one of sunscreen....and on Sundays i add retinol in my evening skin care routine....that is after toner and before the axis-y... These r my 2 routines.....and thank u for replying 😆

I recommend using either your Rice Toner or Snail Essence. Still, if you want to use both, use the toner before applying your essence.
COSRX, NIOD, Good Molecules, Biore, Nivea or Isntree could be great sunscreen options. Isntree Hyaluronic Acid sunscreen leaves the skin pretty glowy afterwards.
Your PM routine looks good. Yes, you can use the Snail Essence before applying your Retinol or Retinoid to the skin. After that, you may not feel the need to use a moisturizer, in that case, it's fine to skip it.

Hmm, it does not layer well, but you should use the dark spot correcting serum first. Personally, I would suggest using them on different days, ideally in your evening skincare routine. So, just cleanse the face, pat it dry, then apply either the Axis-Y Glow Serum or the retinol.

Yes, the routine should help to lighten your dark spots caused by the sun or previous acne. However, I recommend seeing a doctor to get something like Hydroquinone for your melasma. Ask your doctor how you should use it as it's a very potent treatment, which is often being used to lighten melasma.

Are you sure that it's the serum, or is the sunscreen causing your skin to break out? I mean, it could be that the combination may just be too rich for you and then clog your pores. Alternatively, yes, the combination may react with your skin. However, it could also be your sunscreen.

What's the issue with applying the essence / serum / other products on top of your eyelids ? I've always been putting them to avoid dry skin around my eye area & also to get rid of the dark circles/ spots there & it doesn't cause any irritation if I'm careful about not getting them inside the eye

Generally, if you use tretinoin, you don't need to use other products. But to answer your question, I would layer the serum before the cream, allowing maybe a couple of minutes in between for absorption.

The order of application is okay, although I think that's quite a lot. I also wonder if your skin is very dry, or if there's a specific reason for using these heavy creams.

In the evening, it may still be excessive, unless your skin is extremely dry, to the point of flaking. I suggest initially going without it for some time, and if necessary, you can later incorporate this heavy cream into your routine.

Almost everything you see online with quick results isn't real - it's manipulated in some way. Therefore, be consistent with your treatment. You can add TO Argireline Solution after cleansing in your AM routine. Use your AHA + BHA toner in the PM, before or after your Rice Toner, and your HA moisturizer can be used after the Effaclar DUO (if you still feel the need).

I used to have very dry skin and damaged barrier. I used Cicaplast Baume B5 a lot, which helped with that, and now it's a lot better. Like dry to combination, i would say. I abused Cicaplast, lol
I get random pimples a lot, sometimes clusters, especially after shaving/laser(after laser and shaving i only use Cicaplast). I also get single small or cyst like ones that leave scars. I have uneven skintone in places and can get dullness. Every day, my skin does something different. I just can't seem to get it right with products. It's like my skin changes every week. Sometimes, it looks okay, and other times, it's worse.
I just started my PM routine last night. I woke and have tiny random red pimples with head everywhere and other pimples i have seem more visible. Is it normal with effaclar duo at first?
I am still waiting for my spot corrector to arrive, then start my AM routine with it. While waiting for it, I'll use my PM routine in the morning or my first aid repair cream.

What skincare products did you try in the past to treat your acne?
Regarding your PM routine, it's normal to experience some purging or initial breakouts when starting a new acne treatment like Effaclar Duo. This should subside after a few weeks of consistent use.
As for the dark spot corrector, it can be used regardless of skin type.
And applying products to damp/dry skin does not matter. Your skin absorbs water while you're washing your face making it damp, just make sure to pat off the excess water (water drops) from the skin surface. Do not apply your products to wet skin.
As for the Glow Recipe products, it's understandable that you don't want to waste them. Using them as recommended until they run out is a good idea.

Yes, the reason for this is that sunscreens contain hydrating ingredients, and if you choose the right formulations for your needs, you can simply skip it. However, let's say you have a very drying matte sunscreen and you feel the need for extra hydration. In that case, you can certainly use it, but it would be best to choose another sunscreen that fits your needs.

Hi, I use a niacinamide toner that is from a brand called dot&key... Which I think i should probably stop cuz my skin has become sensitive due to the overdose of niacinamide from both the toner and the axis-y dark spot serum...for the morning routine...after that toner I use the Axis-y dark spot treatment serum and then I use cosrx snail 92 cream which as i mentioned before has a thicker consistency than the axis-y..... after that i use a moisturizer from the company called quench that has matcha in it and after that I actually use two types of sunscreen...which is a tinted one and a sunstick...
For the night routine it is the same but instead of the quench moisturizer I use a night cream that has retinol and ceramide in it and then i use only one of sunscreen....and on Sundays i add retinol in my evening skin care routine....that is after toner and before the axis-y...

Midnight:

Before bed routine:
When i finish job in the morning, I go home. Again clean face with cetaphil and use ordinary hyaluronic acid and then use ordinary Retinol 1%. and then Cetaphil moisturiser and sleep.
Once in week:
I also apply AHA30 BhA ordinary as well once in week. I have been using this products for the last 5 month. i got some results but still my face is not clear like dullness, Marks and have some spots as well.

@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet My skin type is oily but it's been a few months since I have my cheek sides dry. So, I think my skin is dehydrated rn. I finished my 1 bottle of snail mucin and I apply it on my wet skin after cleansing and then apply Purito Centella Unscented Serum after 1-2 minutes then apply my moisturizer.

My skin was all clear but I thought of adding a hydrating and calming serum as my skin is very very sensitive but it gave me many pimples. It has been 2-3 weeks since I have been using it .

I always apply products to damp skin, but do not confuse damp and wet skin.
