The eye drop one is pretty stupid to be honest. It says on the package how much stuff is in it and I doubt it has any more (or less) than that. Also the prescription you have received is valid for a certain amount of that stuff. So if the package is filled with air doesn't make much difference. I think besides the packaging the complain should be about the prices of pet medicin in general. Those are usually really high and that isn't really about the packaging in any way.

If Starbucks wants an app that can erase your phone without warning, and the app is mandatory, then they can supply the phone to be used. They cannot force you to use your personal device for work purposes.

2:00 I was working at starbucks when this happened. We were all super hyped to finally have an easy way to access the schedule without having to send that "hey do you have the schedule" text. It was one of those things where the district suits said "those are all just standard workplace app features, we shouldn't ever have a reason to use them". Nobody in my store ever downloaded the app.
I think the Starbucks app might have been designed with company phones in mind. For phones given to employees by the company for workplace use only to prevent people from running off with it or selling it on E-bay or using them for private affairs. Being asked to put something like that on my personal phone would be an absolute dealbreaker for me, though, like if I saw that I'd message my employer that if I'm obligated to agree to those requirements I'd rather just quite the job immediately. Just because I work for those people doesn't give them permission to basically break my phone whenever they want.
That's also not exclusive to the Starbucks app either. I remember the first time I had to walk somebody through downloading an email app that the company I worked for had and saw all those same permissions for. Now with an email one I can KINDA understand it because if somebody else got ahold of your phone and that enabled them to read any of your emails (and we dealt with a LOT of end user information for government agencies in email, so in that context "end user" = "just about any citizen who's got data on file with these government agencies"), but on a TIMECARD app?! That doesn't sound right. Even if it has your own personal information on it, if you lose it and because of that somebody now has access to your personal information, well that's still YOUR fault (not to mention that you probably have a dozen other apps on your phone that all have that same information on it), so why should your employer need that much access to your device under the guise of protecting your identity from your own stupidity?
Yep, that would be the most reasonable thing. Though, normally you'd have those features hidden away and implemented into the OS, or something similar, seems like it would be able to be just uninstalled. That way you can ensure that you will get the Phone back one way or another. Also if you annoy IT and don't do stuff they tell you too (in the reasonable ballpark), or do stuff they tell you not to do, they can just lock your phone and you have to come in. I had someone not use a new, reworked version of a program, but rather let the old one installed and use that (He saved it on an external Harddrive...). He could show his work done on his PC it it would never reach our Servers. The old version was not compatible with our new Database so the guy was first whining into my ears and then complaining to upstairs. They told me to just give him a new MacBook with only the new Version installed. I gave him 36h to save his Data and not gonna lie, that was the most satisfying remote reset I've ever done.

i have a workaround on android: open an incognito tab, open youtube, go to the video you want to listen to, then hit play, press your home button (or go to another page/app) and now you should have a notification with a playbutton. Press that playbutton, and feel free to put your phone to sleep or do anything else.
I accidentally discovered that if you click on a video and then open your tabs on the phone like to go check your browser before you watch the video, if there was an ad starting at the beginning the ad keeps playing when you go to another tab, and the video will olay afterwards too. Sometimes I open a video and slide over to chrome to check a hane real quick, and because there was an ad the video will be playing still, and I have to go back and pause because I wasn't ready, I just wanted to open the video lol

Now it's a healthy plant but they are a living organism so don't mess with them. They can experience stress and will die. Not really a drama but you're just wasting money...

2:04 - I have this on my workplace. It is actually because the app has access to the corporate servers and data. These permissions serve in case your phone gets lost or stolen so it can be securely erased and/or found. From a security standpoint, this is a great thing. Most of us at my workplace do not feel the need (neither are required) to have access to work from our phones so we don't care and don't have this on our phones but the managers and team leads often need access to work 24/7 so they do have something similar. Yes, there are people that have their phone properly secured, but in order to standardize and make sure that company data is secure, and your device is compliant, what you see is necessary. Imagine having to explain your client that their data has been leaked to the public because someone lost their phone and that phone was used to steal data.

Though, normally you'd have those features hidden away and implemented into the OS, or something similar, seems like it would be able to be just uninstalled. That way you can ensure that you will get the Phone back one way or another. Also if you annoy IT and don't do stuff they tell you too (in the reasonable ballpark), or do stuff they tell you not to do, they can just lock your phone and you have to come in.
I had someone not use a new, reworked version of a program, but rather let the old one installed and use that (He saved it on an external Harddrive...). He could show his work done on his PC it it would never reach our Servers. The old version was not compatible with our new Database so the guy was first whining into my ears and then complaining to upstairs. They told me to just give him a new MacBook with only the new Version installed. I gave him 36h to save his Data and not gonna lie, that was the most satisfying remote reset I've ever done.

i have a workaround on android: open an incognito tab, open youtube, go to the video you want to listen to, then hit play, press your home button (or go to another page/app) and now you should have a notification with a playbutton. I accidentally discovered that if you click on a video and then open your tabs on the phone like to go check your browser before you watch the video, if there was an ad starting at the beginning the ad keeps playing when you go to another tab, and the video will olay afterwards too. Sometimes I open a video and slide over to chrome to check a hane real quick, and because there was an ad the video will be playing still, and I have to go back and pause because I wasn't ready, I just wanted to open the video lol

It damages the cactus so if you have one with a glued on flower, remove it carefully. People tend to do dumb shit with plants for whatever reason... I got a cactus as a gift with a christmas hat on and when I removed it, the cactus lost a couple of spines. Now it's a healthy plant but they are a living organism so don't mess with them. They can experience stress and will die. Not really a drama but you're just wasting money...

These permissions serve in case your phone gets lost or stolen so it can be securely erased and/or found. From a security standpoint, this is a great thing. Most of us at my workplace do not feel the need (neither are required) to have access to work from our phones so we don't care and don't have this on our phones but the managers and team leads often need access to work 24/7 so they do have something similar. Yes, there are people that have their phone properly secured, but in order to standardize and make sure that company data is secure, and your device is compliant, what you see is necessary. Imagine having to explain your client that their data has been leaked to the public because someone lost their phone and that phone was used to steal data.
