Hi Ian, well done for building the best DIY conversion I think I have seen! I've built lots of VW campervans but have recently been thinking about the Boxer van like yours. The extra room and a bathroom is a 'must' now me and the wife are getting older! Do you have any information, parts list, plans etc that you worked from, you could save me days if not weeks if you would be willing to share!
    Kind regards, Steve

Hi Steve, and thank you for your kind comment. This is the first conversion I’ve done and learned as I went along but I got the basis of the build and also learned how to carry out electrical work from Greg Virgo’s build series on UA-cam. There is a rough diagram of the build dimensions in the description box below the van build video that I did, if you can’t access it then just let me know. I have a list of a lot of things that I bought just so I had a record of how much it all cost but it’s by no means complete. I could try and send photos of this to you as I don’t have a scanner at the moment, just send me your email address. Cheers.

That was a lovely park up. Loved the views. You are so lucky living up there. Meant to ask, where are you from originally? Good to hear a proper northern accent.
Hope you and Ellie have a good Christmas.

Hello and thank you for your message. Yes, it’s a lovely place to visit and the weather is always more favourable on the east coast compared to the west.
I am from a small town north of Sheffield that lies on the edge of the Peak District and work near Gairloch between April and October, I live in my van whilst I’m working there but am now back home again in good old Yorkshire.
P.s I have subscribed to you , all the best,
      Ian and Ellie.

@@onevanandhisdog3641 thanks for your reply Ian. I (Daryl) am from the Peak District. New Mills. Although we live in Nottingham now we go often as we have family still there and we also have a static caravan in Youlgreave.
Thanks for subscribing. We hope to get back up to Scotland again next year. It has been far too long since we last visited.

Hi Daryl, the Peak District is a great place and I love going there but I do prefer the tranquility of Scotland. I hope you manage to get back up there someday. As soon as Christmas is out of the way I’ll be having a week away somewhere, maybe just over the hill into Derbyshire or maybe North Yorkshire moors? Take care. Ian.

I think I need new tyres before I dare visit the lakes in winter but would be good to meet up sometime Daryl, I’m sure the dogs would enjoy that too.
