Havildar Alum Bheg, a sepoy of the 46th Regiment of the Bengal Native Infantry, who following the Indian Rebellion of 1857 and being said to have killed a British missionary family in Punjab, was executed by the British by being blown from a cannon.His severed head was taken to England by a British officer as a war trophy.
A book called "The Skull of Alum Bheg: The Life and Death Of A Rebel In 1857" by Kim A. Wagner tells the tale of the brutality that this man and many others suffered at the hands of the British Raj in 1857.
The skull of Alum Bheg was subsequently taken to Ireland before being discovered in the Lord Clyde pub in Walmer, Kent, in 1963. It remained there until it was given to Wagner in 2014 by the pub's owners. The Natural History Museum confirmed its likely authenticity and Wagner, with little evidence to go on, traced Bheg's history using various sources including letters written by the relatives and friends of Bheg's alleged victims.

Our forefathers fought with shoulder to shoulder for the independence of this beloved country and today the same countrymen are fighting between themselves on the lines of religion. Sikh didn't revolted otherwise we would have got independence in 1857....they were loyal to English..... thought muslim n Hindu revolted in large numbers but in end most loss taken by Mughal only coz Martha Empire was abolished way before that
Muslim only revolted bcoz of islamic reasons.. otherwise they were always busy licking balls of britishers ..be it 1857 or khilafat movement. All work done by sikhs and hindus.muslim waited for opportunity and took our land and made pakistan . Muslim never loved country more than islam and they never will .
Sikh not give support to Hindu Muslim utter Pradesh solders because in 1849 Anglo Sikh these hindu muslim soldiers fought with Sikhs and gave the support to British against Khalsa Raaj ,that why they did hate with maratha and nawabi soldiers, because of hindu muslim soldiers of utter Pradesh and gorhka of Nepal Sikhs lost there Khalsa Raaj even Hindu Dogra wajeer of Khalsa Raaj also make a alliance with Britishers and killed Ranjit Singh all sons with a strategic planning
If the nawab and maratha gave support to Khalsa Raaj then Britishers left the india in 1849
