This song hits a lot harder when you’re sitting in the stands playing your heart out to your trombone right next to the percussionists during their epic solos. This is my favorite song I’ve ever played. I miss seventh grade.
I'm in 8th grade and groovee, the pit and the pendulum, and aliens landing (in your backyard) are our three songs for our upcoming concert this Friday at a high school football game during halftime, which I've never done before, so I'm REALLY excited!
i had to play this song (tenor sax) whilst being super sick so I could hardly breathe. DURING ALL REGION TOO SO WE PLAYED FOR LIKE 20 HOURS STRAIGHT!! I THANK THE LORD FOR THOSE RESTS
Although I play tuba, I really liked the drum solo at 1:29 when we played it in 8th Grade. That and the trumpet solo that came after that. I honestly head banged to those solis lmao
Just played at the concert and my fellow snare drum sped up to like 200 bpm. The whole band went crazy fast so i had to leave my snare to tell the other to quiet down and slow down
I play the bass clarinet in my school band and whenever we practice this song my band teacher always tells us to play places that has a rest for the bass clarinets so I don't get to play.
Yeah, it is kinda boring. But I'm usually careful never to call any part boring, even if it is, because then other members of the band take that as an opportunity to say percussion is easy, which enrages me intensely. XD
So basically all of us the comment section played this. I can only hear the flute part as I played this for hours on my flute. I was symphonic flute 7 chair fifth grade one year playing, gosh darn it give me a break. So here’s how everything went: Band director: time to play falcon fanfare! Band: ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Band director: it sounds great! Time for let freedom ring! Band:ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Director: ok cool. Time for tomorrow’s yesterdays. Band: dear god help me. Why would someone ever make such a terrible song? Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy???!!! Ughhhhhhhhhh!!!!! Director: looks like we have to cancel that. We are going to play groovee. Band: hallelujah. Our prayers have been answered. Best day ever.

This was great for a concert. Just that I can't hit the forteisisisisisisisissimos hard enough with my saxophone
I remember playing this in area band with the french horn... but sharing almost the exact same notes as the saxaphone was kinda ok i guess

I am playing this song in my middle school band and I'm wondering why they are playing it in high school xD
They site read and record it to demostrate to middle school bands
i played it in elementary so
It's a fun, easy piece to sight read for high school bands.
same bro
I played this during band my senior year when I took a 1st level band class as an easy elective. I loved learning this song tbh (I played flute btw)
bro how is you in a 1st level band class in the last year of high school playing this
@@anthaaany wanted an easy elective for my senior year lol
I play Bass Guitar and my friend plays Baritone Sax. We get the wonderful background part
I play the bass clarinet in my school band and whenever we practice this song my band teacher always tells us to play places that has a rest for the bass clarinets so I don't get to play.
1:58 AROUND THIS PART LISTEN FOR THE BELLS THE PLAYER MESSED UP ONE NOTE
1st chair euphonium playing this song
Me and my clarinet (Clarence) are ready for this song
In my opinion the trumpet part is the best part
Played Tenor Sax on this and had about 900,000,000 measures of rests. But the parts we had were awesome!!
Haha, sorry if I offended you with my comment. I know it was VERY offensive and I deserve to die because of it.
Pugster me too
It's true though with Tenor Sax parts in songs
Yess flutes🤙🏼
This is one of my favorite songs
tambourine part is AWESOME
YASSSSSS
I play tenor sax and rest for 55 measures of the 116 measure song
The King have you seen the percussion parts
Preston Armstrong No, is that what you play
The King yes
The King on all parts except mallets and tambourine they rest for like 80 measures
Preston Armstrong nice
I’ve been searching for this too long
I play this in my spring concert .
I have a bass clairinet part were I rest for maybe 24 measures or so and then play at 41.
i am playing this in my band rn
Gotta play this for college performance
Playing the tambourine for my school band! 🥁
Bass Clairinet rests alot in the begginning and then they gives us complicated rhythms. :(
FACTS THEY GIVE US SO MANY DIFFICULT Rhythms it annoying🙄 but the songs is so cool tho 😂🤣
I play tenor sax and yeah they do give complicated rhythms but there not that bad
I’m a Baritone player and I got over 30 measures of rest. Kind felt useless...
As a trumpet I had 50
The godamn tambourine part makes me wanna die
this is for all the percussionists who had to look at that THICC packet of music and the insanity that followed
IKR?? lol
I play trombone and we have a w part with the clarinets in the beginning. Bu, bu bu, bu bu, bu, buu
The end kinda sounds like it’s from the incredibles
Dashblade Zapper yeah I noticed that when in band playing this
anyone else think this a legit bop
I play first clarinet and this song is perfect for us.
IKR
The only people who really play is flute and clarinet
Kyga and alto saxophone
Kyga and tuba
Trumpets have the melody for half the song, and about 50 measures of rest lmao
this song would be nothing without tambourine and xylophone
ILikeTrains true but they need suspended cymbal in my opinion I play it and it's and a cooler effect
i can’t believe i played clarinet on this two years ago that’s crazy
Last year, I played maracas and snare

best part to play.
Being a French horn player is awesome but you never get to play the cool part like clarinets
Who here is doing this in band? I am
Yeah, I am. Xylophone part.
The xylophone is literally almost only G's... It's boring to play, I promise you xD Well, there's that solo in there too tho xD
Yeah, it is kinda boring. But I'm usually careful never to call any part boring, even if it is, because then other members of the band take that as an opportunity to say percussion is easy, which enrages me intensely. XD
I played this for my intermediate band
Oh goodness me, it seems the suspended cymbal is far too quiet in this recording… 🤔
Flute player! (Soon to be oboe)
