Rick: Have you guys seen the ’32 roadster?
Old man: Yeah. Saw one back in the ‘30s.
No question about it
Well played, sir.
30s includes 31 32 33 etc
He wasn't alive in the 30s
@@cheldosarmiento2733 /whoosh
This guy: *created this car himself
Rick: lemme calll an expert
When he says created it himself, it doesn't necessarily mean he put all the parts together, it could simply mean he paid for a shop to do it. Remember he said he paid $60,000 in labor
@@alexsmith2766 actually, he didn’t put $60,000 in labor. He just said that he estimates about 3 years worth of working on this car would be about $60k in his own labor (that $60k number came from the fact that he devoted 3 years of his life to perfect that beauty, anything done right isn’t free)
He did say "Danny Knows Custom cars" so he was aware of it being a Custom car.
You know rick calls his so called expects to come see and DEVALUE CAR'S LIKE SCAMERS DANNY BEFORE HE COMES AND RICK TELLS DANNY.OR OTHERS, HEY LOW BALL THE CUSTOMERS. THATS WHY HE ALWAYS GOES IN HIS OFFICE OR TO HIS TRUCK AND NO ONE.CAN HEAR THEM TALK.
@@dominicparker9298 The guy built this car out of his own free will. Just because you build a car on your own will doesn't mean somebody is going to pay you all your estimated "costs of labor" that you put into the car again on your own free will lmao.
Probably would have been more believable if Cory didn't say he went to the gym
I mean have you see his weight loss
@@vkronuz872 getting a belly band installed does not equate to going to the gym.
I thought the same thing but if you saw his weight loss between the earlier seasons and this episode I actually wouldn’t doubt his story
He went to JIms, Jim makes the best BBQ.
ohhh,,,, Burn
THE CAR IS AN ABSOLUTE PIECE OF ART!
Art is subjective
Building this for short people Fsup the resale
@@craigholcombe1901 He built it for himself, not for resale.
@@christopherdean1326 P
@@jacobfoster9185 oh im sorry , i forgot not everyone has good taste .
Rick's laugh sounds like an old car trying to start up 😂😂😂
😭😭😭
Way over priced!! After market body!! Doesn't matter what it's made of! Not a real 32 Ford! These bodies sell for 15k. The frame 10-11k. You can't count your own labor. You didn't have to pay a shop to build it!
7:09 - "someone probably stoled it"
hahahaha
Classic chumlee
chumlee😂
I was literally gunna comment this but decided to look for it in the comments first haha
He actually didn’t get scammed
i think he shouldve kept it and waited for someone even richer. they would pay top dollar for that roadster
Sabian Vorachev no u wouldn’t this isn’t Ukraine or Russia
@Sabian Vorachev I'd like to see that.. do it with a Ferrari 😏😁
@Sabian Vorachev which models?
@Sabian Vorachev so you don't know the models you own? 🤔
In unrelated news, Danny hires a new guy for the shop!
I was looking for a comment like this 😂
🤣🤣
Wait, did he actually hire him?
@@bertantaskran194 naw i dont think so
And the new guy has a goofy looking headband too.
When the expert and owner drove away and left Rick and Corey behind, it felt like they ditched their wedding and ran off together
That was brother man himself.
The meanest looking car I’ve seen on this show. This guy poured his heart an soul into it.
Just having Danny geek out at a car you personally built has gotta be worth more than $70k
It's not like he built a custom car or anything. He basically bought and assembled a kit then put a motor in it
@@getchasome6230 Go ahead and order a kit and a motor and see how much else there is that you have to figure out and fix
@@Weimerica8841 Its literally like legos. You order the part, then bolt it on.
I worked for a stamping plant that makes parts for these things. It's literally that easy..
"Do you mind if I start it up?"
"Yep"
*starts it up*
uhhh yeah that’s what happened...
@@clipvault9405 do you even get the joke
@@clipvault9405 if someone says do you mind your supposed to say no i don’t mind the guy said yep so he said I do mind and the pawn guy still started it… your slow in the head
yup lmfao
Sometimes people answer that question "yes" as in "yes you may" when the more technically correct answer would be "no" as in "no I don't mind." The guy is trying to sell a car. Iy's highly unlikely somebody will buy it until they hear/see it running.
This is one of the only guys I’ve seen on this show that’s knows how to bargain
He is the only expert who never disappoints me. BTW I love his show too..
What show is that?
@@kirrus4781 counting cars
Expert: I'd charge $130,000 to build this, but you can only sell it for $75,000 lol
Make sense
@@guru2555 I guess it kinda does, because the builder would need to charge labor...although labor shouldn't be included since Rick didn't hire this guy to build it for him. I still feel like the cost of custom building it as clean as he did should up the price.
Facts
welcome to hot rods, they're something you spend money on, not make money on
@@jmjon9 like every cars
I love Danny and his cars and bikes. He seems like a nice person too. I thank Rick for giving Danny a chance to get a show of his own.
I like all of them. They get along like any other family. They do a good job.thanks Baron matthews
I like every expert they have come in. Especially that book girl 😏
He did 👍🏻
@@m.m14433wack
Apparently he actually messed up with this car though. He didn't realise the engine was different so it was worth a lot less than he thought it was.
Rick: What if you wreck it?
Corey: Lemme call Danny so he can have it fixed.
He wanted 70 grand and Rick gave him almost his final bottom price . Why didn't he just give the full 70 grand.
because this is business, not charity
They gotta get some drama in the show.
@@buckbundy8642 no it’s just business why give asking price if u can get it cheaper lol jus smart business a dollar saved is a dollar saved
Rick doesn't like giving people their first number. He always likes to feel like he won and undercut them a little, even if they would still make money either way. There's some very few rare exceptions I've seen, but yea.
Everytime they ask "do you mind ... ....."
And they always answer "yea"
like: do you mind or is it ok?
Words can't express how much I love that car. In all my days, I have never come across a vehicle that I've wanted more.
i remember when i saw a car that can’t my attention like that for the first time. beautiful. this is a great car too man i wish you the best financially so u can make ur dream a reality 🤝
Chum: "all you gotta do is cut a hole in the roof and lift it out with a helicopter" LOL
Vincent Van Gogh would cut off his second ear when listening to Ricks offers
rick is always gonna offer half of whatever price and only go up 10 percent.
Another ear eh? Hmm. No piercings? Well because it's you Mr.Van Gogh... $50.
😆😆😆🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😹😹😹
Rick is cheaper than a plastic penny
it wasn't a terrible offer. His expert tells him he can sell it for 70, he can't buy it for 70. It's a business... He's a businessman, not a collector.
That guy actually built that? That’s literally a piece of art. Insane.
That car is literally a piece of art
He's the guy from "Counting Cars"...History Channel's integrating their shows
they've been doing that for a long long time. Two of Rick's experts are the host and a judge on Forged in Fire.
Ricks Restorations and American Pickers have been making money via the show too. 👍
many of those shows happened because of being on Pawn Stars. pretty sure Counting Cars is one of those.
That owner is a class act and he can build cars too, very gorgeous machine.
😂 "you want me to drive it in here right ?"😂 EVERY son/father EVER. Awsome.
when rick dies... corey will run the shop into the ground and into bankruptcy
I thought the same
Hes gonna sell it snd they already rich with the show
how?
@@Ryu-qk1kx If you've watched the show long enough you'd be able to tell hes a loser who has no skills who hopped on his fathers coat tails acting like a pawn broker. he's rude with customers he acts like he knows everything and walks around like he's the owner

Nice
32 ford my dream car to own . Bravo to the builder, just fcuking immaculate man absolutely beautiful.

Don’t worry bro you’ll get one day
Danny the count looks like the Undertaker back in 2001 😂😂
Chub is just too funny, my man be having a helicopter and breaking the roof then hacking the computer.
Pawn stars fans: we want new videos
Rick best i can do is reupload videos posted months ago on channel or even years
And he's taking all the risks here
Why did I ever want a family business? Lol 😆.
That’s why you DON’T go into business with your family. I’ve heard it before and now I see it.
Rick: what’s your bottom line?
Guy: 70,000
Rick: 65,000?
"You want me to drive it in here, right?" Your kid will always still be your kid!!!
Your script writer will always be your script writer lol

That IS my dream car. I've wanted one exactly like this, but with the old-school flame graphics down both sides of the front end.
If they're going to see the car anyway, why not just bring the expert along from the beginning?
Is it only me or he lives in Walter White's house????
You know Rick was the one who wanted to drive it.
Danny always insists on driving.
Spectacular Adventures of the Ford Roadster with a Friendly Martian!
That guy wasted 3 years of his life building that car and all he has to show for it now is less money in his pocket
Thank God Danny didn't buy it, it doesn't seems better with flames and skulls.
$70,000 is the best price I can do.
$68,250
Sold!
It's a beautiful and great roadster, but why would anyone build a custom from the ground up car that would lose them half of what they put into it in parts and labor when they go to sell it?
"I have to sell, this things change"..I smell divorce...
They always ask for their price THEN bring the expert?? How bout ask me after the experts opinion so I know you dont tell him ahead what to lowball me
I love the pawn stars they always bring a smile to my face
A beautiful and very impressive presentation. I wish you success in your work and success. Accept my greetings.
Didn't call Rebecca in for the test drive?
Rebecca does books not cars
@@gregpuryear8163 clearly missed the joke
Logan Hernandez absolutely!
Greg Puryear He's just kiddin'.
Plenty of room for her in the back seat.
Lost me at Chevy LS. Those engines are amazing sure, but it kneecaps any curiosity or collector value for me. It's just another fancy package for the same tired Chevy V8 that everyone is putting in everything.
Most surprising thing about this vid is Corey going to the gym
IT IS LOL
I'd be worried that someone might crash into me if I was driving that car. You have to take that into consideration too when driving even if you are careful with it.
Always funny when rick acts like he's bigger than he actually is lol.
4:35....Rick out here wearing those Nike SBs he paid like $50K for LOL
They stuck it in an Az auction. The new owner lives in Az. They didn't disclose price

Also nick: I will not pay 80k for a really cool Ford that is amazing in every way and is beautiful
One time & only time I'm on Rick side. He should have stood pat at 65k. The guy was not walking away from 65k cash.
I own this pawn shop lol that’s so funny hard work always pays off don’t it? LMAO
This guy is factoring his labor into the asking price like Rick hired him to build this car 🙄
Thanks for weighing in on this Mr. Koker. You gave a perfect appraisal for that sculptor. Can you please identify the seller? Does he have a UA-cam channel?
How is Rick still sain?
Big fan from japan

I will watch your episodes all time
“It’s gonna take me awhile to sell this” 😒

Imagine what Rick just said moments before they put the 1932 in quotations LOL
I would pay 1m $ if i can drive it legally in Vietnam if i had $1m laying around.
It's absolutely beautiful.
"you cant drive the car around"
"why not? i dont see the big deal in enjoying something while we have it?"
my friend, its called a RISK FACTOR. you are not entirely in control of your external surroundings. nobody is. someone could accidentally hit the car, severely or not. you would loose 10's of thousands of dollars. the car was acquired through the medium of your BUSINESS, not personal expenses. to try and justify the fact that it wasn't a big deal, shows you dont deserve to be the co-owner. if you own a business, act like it. act like a professional. always do the best at what you do. which is not joyriding in company stock.
That's Corey for you.
Expert to builder: "you're hired"
Wasn’t this show originally called dumb and dumber?
Why is Rick even a pawn broker if he has to call in someone to explain everything he buys?
street rod not hot rod but ok, well not old school as it has a ls and other things.
Umm. Let's try again on the term "chopped"
I think he got it confused with the motorcycle term but still a okay try.
Would’ve been cooler if he had a 428
That guy’s car is more beautiful than all of Koker’s combined works.
"Advertising!"
Lol Good one!
The expert and the sellers really seen to have bonded alot very fast
How can u not get temptation to drive that bad boy I'm on Corey side
No Name impotant live ...easy, I wouldn't want to be drivin it when that chevy junk under the hood quits runnin, and it will strand someone sooner rather than later, it's what all Garbage Motors manufactured vehicles do....
“Im not driving it around, I just took it to the gym.”
Killed me
Cory goes to the gym. I'm I the only one surprised 😂
Nitro Martini like you 😂😂😂
I am looking to buy this car If they still have it
The seller reminds me of Prison Mike from The Office
Chum: Someone probably Stolled it 😂😂
Don't laugh...you can't even spell stoled!
I was watching a pawn stars video and then this video popped up and i clicked right away
The thoughtless quotation ultrastructurally obey because stranger inexplicably irritate into a educated twig. premium, striped handball
I would have paid $50k or $70k for the HotRod! 😎👍
idc what people say but in my opinion older cars look better than these days like c'mon
no lol this is too basic
Before seeing him and they said the car was missing I just knew Chum did something with it. Lol
4:35 is Rick wearing some dunks?!? 😱
Danny complimenting the guy who built it was great. Danny's team does great work and he knows the guy did well.
Corey saved the day bc Rick would’ve tried to low ball him. You gotta love Em
Way to many ads..............
For anyone else that is curious, this was in 2009. The car uses a Dearborn Deuce body. $24,500 for the unfinished tub with trunk/doors/dash/windows and windshield according to their website.
I’m 6ft 5 I’d never fit in that thing ever
Sacrilege to have a chevy LS engine in a Ford Roadster
I would be ashamed to spend 130k and not put a Ford motor in it how sad
Hardly anyone ever puts Ford garbage in their 32s. It’s almost always small and big block Chevys and Chrysler hemis.
Strictly show cars often have flatheads in them but they’re gutless turds. Even in the late 50s early 60s they would put Corvette engines, transmissions and rear ends in them.
4:33 how me and my bros used to be waiting on the bus in the morning 🤣🤣
Lol
