The whole MTV Unplugged is brilliant. These guys are amazing and showed the world that as musicians they are really up there. The subject matter of this song is something I didn’t realise for a long time. Simmons can write awesome songs and this was from their first album in ‘74. Love it! Do some more please !!!
Kick a## moment to me. When the guitars cut out and the audience is clapping along with both drummers. This was a first for a KISS. They had never played, on stage, with 2 drummer s bejif
The audience wasn't booing when Paul announced Bruce Kulick and Eric Singer - they were chanting "Bruuuuuce". Ace also was fooled, but then again, sometimes he's not very bright.
That summer was full of Kiss conventions that played unplugged but when the conventions started in CA Peter caught wind of it and KISS invited him and peter took his kid to see what he did before she was born as well then the conventions went on into the summer until Aug on the MTV unplugged stage and then it was born for a mini Reunion and Farewell tour also Psycho Circus concert in between then came ALIVE IV Symphony in Melbourne Australia !
They did this performance again (with Tommy Thayer on guitar replacing Peter Criss on drums) on KISS Kruise VIII. I was at that one, such an amazing moment.
Really great performance. Pulled it off, beautifully. Very classy for Ace to react to the audience the way he did. (Boos for Eric, and responded with "he's a member of the family"). A lot of strife among certain members, but at the end of the day, there's lots of respect.
I don't who told you that this was not planned because it was in fact planned. There aren't any ad libs. The parts that Peter are singing have always been a part of the song.
Its a great song, this song is about A*al sex. You have to listen to I Still Love You. Paul is such a great singer ❤️ Btw, this was the start of the '96 make up reunion tho.
I think you've done the essentials of Kiss, Cold gin/100 000 years/Deuce/Strutter/God of thunder/Detroit rock city/Beth/Hard luck woman and so on. I still wish you could do Alice Cooper original Band as it's supposed to: 1 full album at a time. There are 5 of them and a good start is the unbeatable "Billion Dollar Babies" lada-da-dadda-daaah!. There's several bands no one reacted to at all and some just a few sad radiosongs with a pletora of splendidness beyond it. Thin Lizzy (So may songs) Saxon (So many songs) The Stranglers (So many songs) Disneyland After Dark (threatened by Disney a-holes) now D.A.D Riot - Fire down Under (one album, but may be the most hardrock/metal album ever) Judas Priest - Unleashed in the east More BÖC (So many songs) Flash and the pan Mustasch e t c , .
Notice Vinnie Vincent wasn't invited as a former guitarist lol. He was so obnoxious he was kicked out of his own solo group Vinnie Vincent Invasion, which morphed into Slaughter lol
They have always been meticulous about rehearsing until everything’s right. Just before this shit happened I saw Jason Peter touring together here in California with my brother. I told him would it be cool if they got it back together. Then it happened. I went to several other reunion shows. Nobody does live shows better!
Please react to Love Gun, Sure Know Something, Detroit Rock City from alive iii, Unholy, Take It Off, a million to one, Exciter, magic touch, hard times, saludos desde México
Bad choice of live versions for this tune...except for Peter. To answer your question at 6:37, part of being a performer involves having 'charisma', even when they're just sitting. And back in the day, Peter had it in spades.
I'm going to say this outright, Peter was the best singer kiss truly ever had vocally, the best drummer Kiss ever had though was eric carr, eric singer was good but sold out for money, i honestly preferred him when he was with alice cooper.
one of the best, if not the best, Mtv Unplugged ever 🤘
The best of all time imo and
Exactly. It seems like people talk about Nirvanas the most but this was CLEARLY the best one
Agreed
The best mtv unplugged concert

that's right folks... two kick ass drummers that can sing and play together
The audience wasn't booing when Paul announced Bruce Kulick and Eric Singer - they were chanting "Bruuuuuce".
Ace also was fooled, but then again, sometimes he's not very bright.
2 eras of kiss on one stage! Badass
Fave concert. I love this song so much.
The Whole Show was Awesome!!! I was there……Watching it on TV!!!😂👍🤘🏻
Halloween night. The kids kept ringing the doorbell while my wife and I are trying to watch MTV KISS unplugged. It was awesome!!
This one show I wish I was at!!
Loved this song as a young kid in the 70s, didn't really realize what it was about until I hit my teens.
Hahaha I wondered if they got trolled into watching something about this subject matter hahaha. They were getting into it pretty hard.
Girls havin nothin to lose since '74
'Back door' is a bit of a give away!
Unplugged Rock and roll all night from the same show!!!

The person that shouted "Reunion Tour" was my dear friend, George, who passed away 2 years ago, so it's so cool to me that you caught that!
💗 I'm so glad we caught that too! Rest in Peace, George! 💗
Rip
As a life long Kiss Army Member I was in tears that night.
Waswnt this the first time they all came back
How GREAT is this???
That Mtv Unplugged was Kisstory: the current members reunited wiht the originals ex drummer and guitarist (Peter Criss and Ace Frehley)
Whole show, Halloween night back then was great MTV Unplugged
This live is awesome ! You should watch i still love you from this live
El Unplugged de Kiss uno de los grandes momentos en toda la Kisstoria 😎😎😎
Really great performance. Pulled it off, beautifully.

A lot of strife among certain members, but at the end of the day, there's lots of respect.
No one said boo. They were saying "Bruuuuuuuce".
I'm one of the unlucky ones. I didn't have MTV so I wasn't able to see this historic broadcast. However KISS did release this on DVD
You guys should do 2000 Man from this
Like number 666! Hell yeah *throws the horns*. Loving your KISS reactions.
I Still Love You same show 🔥🔥🔥
HOW do they look so cool? They're KISS! Simples!
I don't who told you that this was not planned because it was in fact planned. There aren't any ad libs. The parts that Peter are singing have always been a part of the song.
Not the smoothest musical performance but the audience reaction is priceless. Nothing else like the KISS Army
Eric's idea to invite Peter
More KISS. Less everything else.
One drummer was missing, the late Eric Carr as well as two guitarists, Vinnie Vincent & the late Mark St. John
The secret is easy... DECADES OF EXPERIENCE.
This song and Deuce are the first two songs I learned to play on drums. fairly easy to play. But real easy to mess up.
Its a great song, this song is about A*al sex.
You have to listen to I Still Love You. Paul is such a great singer ❤️
Btw, this was the start of the '96 make up reunion tho.
Song about anal sex ,from 1973 actually played this on national TV back in 74 abc in concert

I hope he used this line on her later woo
When there were 6 KISS memories briefly, late
My man Peter Criss over there on drums with Ace frehley on lead guitar stealing the show.
They have always been meticulous about rehearsing until everything’s right. Just before this shit happened I saw Jason Peter touring together here in California with my brother. I still love you same show!!! Please!
This was all planned. They rehearsed all of this.
Try God of Thunder from this concert. It will surprise you.
Makes me laugh every time lol. Sounds pretty good as a country song!
A reminder of how GREAT Bruce Kulick is.
Please react to Love Gun, Sure Know Something, Detroit Rock City from alive iii, Unholy, Take It Off, a million to one, Exciter, magic touch, hard times, saludos desde México
It was planned by the way.
This was KISS .......
Reactions start at 2:49
Should check out Beth from this same show. It was their top song they ever did. They only one to really win an award.
Thanks to Bob Ezrin. He made it what it is, but also Peters voice of course
Such a great song! But what was it about? LOL Since I am a KISS fan, I know... You should read up about it too... LMAO!
I didn’t realise what the song was about until a few years ago. 👌

The electric version is sooooo much better! This was good though!
All we need is Eric Carr RIP, Eff Vinny Vincent & Tommy Thayer There Trash.
