Jeroen, one thing about you is that you are super fit. While you are cycling, you are paddling away and commentary, and not a sound of you are out of breath. 😊😊
Keep up the good work, Jeroen 👏 🙌 👍 👌
Nice Area Thonglor. The weather looks good as well. Thank you for sharing.
Krungthep is so huge, you will never explore everything, always a new surprise will wait😊, love it so much 👍🏼✌🏼🇹🇭❤️
Phenomenal growth in Thonglor. I recall a little more than 15 years ago it was mostly low rise and comprised of many shops selling wedding dresses.
and Mom and Pop hardware stores, a small flower market, etc.
Thanks Jeroen! Always good seeing you on your bicycle rides.
Getting to cool season, I will be riding much more now🚴🏼♂️
Nice ride Jeroen very interesting like when u ride on Bike Thx for update this area
This was a great tour! Very few videos out there showing Thong Lo.
yaaas! first viewer!
Watching from Toronto with envy! Those morning rides are so soothing ❤
I find it real exciting to see you bicycle with in one hand your camera ! 🙏
@globaltravelmate. You are also on trend as you are go too person for everything that’s happening in Bangkok! Keep it up. 😊
Nice images of the city! Greetings from Palma de Mallorca!
60k jeroen 👍👍👍👍👍 peace and happiness always u
Lived aronthe there Soi 33 - Miss everyday
Thanks for including the average rents. Very informative
Nice to see the canal ride, I'll definitely be doing that! Moving to Phrom Phong next month :) As for trendy - always depends who you ask, hehe. Have you done a video on Ari yet? I'll have to take a look...
I to would love to ride there.
I also want to bike along the canal!
You look awesome when biking. Is it possible to rent a bike for a couple of days there?
Thonglor was trendy 10 years ago. Now it’s mainstream. I’m afraid Global Travel Mate is either late to the party or has misunderstood the concept of trendy.
So what is the trendy area in Bangkok now?
Well Technically Thong Lor seeing New Buildings in Thong Lor it’s Changing and for the better! I hope more Constructive Unique Buildings for Businesses gets built in Thong Lor which expands the Sidewalks which is needed! I hate the 30 Massage Fronts in Thong Lor especially the ones that took over Restaurants!
Thoglor is semi trendy and business area for Japanese expats. It is still in the upscale area in Bangkok and safe with large police station. Otherwise, Chidlom, Wireless road, Ratchaprasong and Promprong would be the most affluent and desirable to live.
What is your favorite District Jeroen?
At the end of the soi (close to the Khlong) prices are more "human" 😅👌😜💰
Priceless video joen@ thank you. would it be possible to cycle the khlong path fro soi 15?
Yes, but there is one part where the path does not continue. If you want to ride it, coming from 15, just follow the path past Asok. Where it ends go into the normal street, drive towards Sukhumvit Soi 39, there you can enter the khlong path again and follow it all the way to Bangkapi.
@@globaltravelmate thank you sir !
Greetings from Belgium Jeroen
Soi 38, ahhh yes...from 2007 on to it's death I stayed at a hostel a short block past the food area. 2 minutes and your face was hovering over some of the tastiest food around, spoon in hand. Hostel price? $8, for YEARS as I was one of the guys early guests and I came in late November almost every winter until 2016 I believe. It was heaven, GREAT food and a cheap NICE place to stay with a 4th floor roof garden. In one of the most desirable areas (Norwegian Embassy residence is still down the street...I was told by an old Thai neighbor a Thai princess had lived down the street some years ago). It was dead quiet many nights, you'd think you were in the burbs, not a 5 minute walk to BTS Thong lor station. A golden age. Then they knocked it all down, and put up Siri, and others. How come they never thought to put a food court on the bottom floor of a condo? Like Suttin Mansion has in their parking garage the faded, over priced remnants of street food at nights...and the Smoothie lady. A golden age wiped out by condo cancer.
It may seem simple but to ride a bike in Bangkok whilst running a commentary and rotating and elevating a camera accurately is no mean feat. If you disagree just try it and you'll probably fail miserably! Thanks Jeroen.
So I guess in Thong Lor District you have more Japanese restaurants, and Japanese women in massage parlors?
I hope more Dutch expatriate in BKK
joen waht time of the morning is that? on a sunday?
This was monday morning, I think around 7 am. Monday was a holiday.
What is the range of your electric bike?
My range is unlimited, as long as I put food and water. haha Riding a regular bicycle.
@@globaltravelmate Oops, I thought it was an e-bike!
The 10 baht bus costs only 5baht 😀
Haha, thanks for the update. So I should have mentioned it is a 5 baht bus.
@@globaltravelmate we took it last time on the way to the golden mount
Well presented video as usual. For me personally though, Thong Lo is my least favorite area of Bangkok.
was wondering why's that? expensive?
@@nathanielalgernon975 It's boring.
@@QarlonRoad I like Japanese things, and if they had a bunch of Japanese women around that would be interesting enough for me. But I can see what you mean if you're not into that.
It just feels a little less friendly and welcoming than the rest of the city to me.
@@Mark_Maguire Ok, thank you for the reply
It’s looks like Japanese or Korean city, not bkk
Youre too trendy for me Jereon
