    I was blessed and won the life lottery.I grew up during the best times in the world, in the greatest country in history, as a pretty female. It was great the ‘50s, 60s, 70s, 80s!!! I have memories of great freedom, great music, great ideas, and great discoveries

      I was born 1950 you sure are right. Those were the best times. Everything Is pretty much trash now. I hardly ever watch TV. Its a joke. I would hate to be a kid going to school now. Very sad.

    Life moves very quickly my friends. I'm in my late 60's now and its still seems that my youth wasn't that long ago and to top it off it seems like if I died tomorrow my life was very short.

      i was born in 1964 so not so far behind you mate..counting down untill me and the wife retire. planning of buying a nice villa in spain to retire to. then living life to the full. work takes up most of your life aye, so the day we retire we hope we can spend our twilight years helping others and partying every day lol

    THAT photo of Pink Floyd is truly remarkable! They intentionally did not provide photos! While touring one could never actually see their faces clearly. Thus adding to their unique prose. Again, thank you for sharing your creations! I am convinced these accounts you present here ARE THE BEST I HAVE EVER SEEN❤️

      @@chrissullivan4496 I was fortunate to see them at Anaheim Stadium in 1980 where they did a Quad Sound concert. During the concert this 30 foot diameter Balloon Pig starts floating about 20 feet above the field crowd where I was. about 10 minutes into it. BAM! IT EXPLODES! On purpose. Nobody hurt But it was awesome! That concert is here on UA-cam

      That's legendary founder and LSD casualty Syd Barret kneeling in front. The 1975 LP, "Wish You Were Here" was dedicated him, while he was very much still alive. David Gilmour took his place a few months after this pic was taken.

    Why is it when you look at old pictures you feel sad or is it just me. Its like times really seemed better then without all the AI watching and listening, when police would not arrest people for saying or doing silly things, when governments were more scared of the people. People just looked so much happier. Its like we don't have a life anymore.

    With reference to Jane Mansfield: The next time you see a tractor trailer with a trailer, notice the bar type apparatus that hangs down on the rear of all trailers. It's called the Mansfield's bar. After her unfortunate accident, these bars became mandatory on all trailers to keep cars from going underneath the trailer in a rear end collision. Contrary to the popular myth, Jane did die of head injuries but she was not decapitated as common culture suggests.

    We traded talking, drinking, smoking, dancing all in for cel phones that have games and vegetable meat. We might live longer but we won’t be looking back at these days with such awe and nostalgia.

    That '55 Lincoln Futura was the basis of the '60's Batmobile, built by George Barris.

      it wasnt the inspiration or the basis of the batmobile
      it WAS the batmobile - the guy tasked with designing the batmobile simply bought the Futura and painted it black and red, and put new wheels on it and some 007 contraptions

      @@kenwittlief255This was a 1 of concept car, I'm guessing that you are not a car guy, as this is pretty well known. George Barris built the original '55 Lincoln Futura concept car into the Batmobile.

    That Lincoln Futura in the pic is the batmobile. Ford only made 1 Lincoln Futura, in 1955. After it made the car show rounds, it was painted red and used in a movie called "it started with a kiss" in 1959.
    Ford used it in a promotional film called "The Secret Door" showcasing their styling department in 1961.
    George Barris then bought it for 1 dollar. Since it had no title, it was uninsurable, and sat next to his shop for a few years before he heavily modified it to be the batmobile.
