    Love how whoever makes these videos always gets so much wrong. For example, the first picture of Sophia Loren and Jayne Mansfield is NOT the famous "side eye" picture, although it was probably taken at the same event.

  • @glengamble526

    On the first one, respectfully…you used the wrong pic. There’s a shot just before or just, from the same series, after where Sophia is REALLY literally looking sideways and not amused!

    Colour photos from 1908, unlikely as commercial colour photos didn't really start until the late 1920's. I am guessing recoloured with photoshop

    • @gfear24
      @gfear24 3 роки тому

      Actually, most photos back then were colour on the film. Problem was there were next to no places that could develop colour photos yet. Everything developed back then was developed in B&W. Anything from then that is developed in colour was likely done a few decades later with the modernization of colour photo development.

    Wonder what was really wrong with the $100 car? It’s a good ploy to unload worthless cars, why do I imagine he had a car lot somewhere full of these bargains?

    • @ravenel2
      @ravenel2 3 роки тому +5

      You don’t understand what happened in the picture. A wealthy person lost everything he had in the stock market crash and needed to get cash by selling his luxury car. $100 was a fortune in 1929 and few people had that much extra money lying around.

      Hang tough my friend. Present time USA - You are about to see real estate sell for pennies on the dollar and many cars for $100 cash on the side of the road. Or, there will be hyper-inflation and that would be the famous photo (not shown here) of Germans burning paper money to stay warm in the winter. Either way, many will be looking through the garbage for their next meal.

    WHY MUST I SEE ?
    Mrs Richards: " I paid for a room with a view!"
    Basil: (pointing to the lovely view) "That is Torquay, Madam."
    Mrs Richards: "It's not good enough!"
    Basil: "May I ask what you were expecting to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? the Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically past?..."
    Mrs Richards: "Don't be silly! I expect to be able to see the sea!"
    Basil: "You can see the sea, it's over there between the land and the sky."
    Mrs Richards: "I'm not satisfied. But I shall stay. But I expect a reduction."
    Basil: "Why?! Because Krakatoa's not erupting at the moment?
